Professional and good quality work

We had our Owen's Corning Basement installed back in 2006. The insulation is still going strong with no problems with water, mildew or stains.

James G. & his crew from Lux Renovations of Owens Corning were professional, courteous, unbelievably hard working and focused on meticulous quality and detail throughout our project. We cannot imagine anyone else could match their attention to detail. They put in long days and completed the whole basement finishing project in just a few short weeks with hardly a day off. Had our basement refinished with Lux using the Owens Corning system. With all the delays and nonsense out there trying to manage home improvement projects with multiple contractors or contractors using multiple sub contractors to deliver overpriced and under delivered expectations, it was a breath of fresh air to have such a professional and well managed project from start to finish. They showed up in the time frame they communicated, and didnt leave the job til it was finished. great communication throughout, ensuring my expectations were met, and all challenges were met with positive solutions. Owens Corning acted as a partner in our basement redesign. This is the first large home remodel project that we have done, and we could not have had a better experience. From the first meeting to our last walk through, we felt supported by each member of the team. The team was professional, timely, and solution oriented. Owens Corning was a delight to work with and the final product is absolutely amazing. Each day I wondered how the team would overcome some of the challenges they would face and they did not disappoint. The team was here when expected and worked hard to get the job done. Start to finish , it was an absolute pleasure to work with Lux Renovation team. The project started and finished on time with all inspections being scheduled by the project manager. As a home owner I didnâ t have to lift a finger! Our family is very happy with the new basement and bathroom we have now.

We hired Lux Renovations (Owens Corning) to do our basement in early February 2022, with the work completed at the end of June. In general, we were very pleased with the process working with the company. We reached out to approximately 8 contractors to receive quotes on the work, and Lux was far and above the most responsive - we received a call from their sales office same day is putting in an inquiry (over Christmas) and had an in-home appointment the next week. All communication was timely and professional. We entered contract in early February for Lux to complete our basement, with an expected completion date at the end of July 2022. My wife and I were fairly persistent about bringing the install date forward as we were expecting a second child in August. Once we let the sales office know why we wanted to move the install date forward, they moved us to "first available installer" and we were scheduled for our basement remodel to start in June. The entire process took 2.5 weeks, with an installer at our house every day during the period excepting one day and Sundays. Luis was our installer, and he was exceptional to deal with - very easy, answered all of our questions, worked exceptionally hard, and the quality of his work was great. We had a fairly simple install - Lux created one large room in our basement with an under-stairs closet and redid the stairs. Overall we are exceptionally happy with the quality of the basement build-out and the attention to detail. The OC wallboard can dimple if you press in to it too hard/knock furniture against it, and obviously Lux would need to be back out for repairs, so it is best to be a bit more careful with the walls than the standard drywall. Overall, we found the install and quality of the output to be exceptional. We were also really pleased with the level of communication from the company on scheduling, processing, etc. We found the pricing to be high but in line with competitors and reputable general contractors we got quotes from. If Lux is 5-10% more expensive than another company, it's worth it for the install speed and limited "contractor hassle." You also have the peace of mind with there being a fixed rather than variable cost for the project - no surprise bills. Overall, we would highly recommend Lux as a remodeler.

From start to finish, Lux Renovations was professional and made working with them easy. The work done was high quality, and they were responsive to our requests. Ray Parker was an excellent project Manager, and Luiz our job foreman and his team provided excellent work with attention to detail. We are very satisfied with the product.

If you're looking for the cheapest option, Lux isn't for you. You're paying for quality, workmanship, speed, and professionalism. I hired Lux to renovate an unfinished basement space (one main room, one large storage / utilities area, and a laundry space. They gave me a time estimate to start, and actually were able to come in early. The folks who did the job were polite, amazing at their work, and I think my dogs fell in love with them. They were finished MUCH faster than I expected. They handled all the inspections, electrical, carpeting...it was so easy for me. I can't recommend Lux (and Tim!) enough.

I had a great experience with Lux Renovations. The project started ahead of schedule and went very quickly. They may not be the least expensive, but they do great work.

We recently used LUX & Owens Corning products to remodel the basement of our Cape Cod residence. We had a typical unfinished basement. Lux promised to finish the project in two to three weeks. Even with the challenges of both obtaining materials and workman these days they did as promised. LUX finished exactly in two weeks! We are talking metal framing, walls, flooring , ceilings, heating, venting, and tearing down "construction stairs" and building beautiful custom oak stairs and railing! The project manager (David, 20 yrs. with LUX) was exemplary in communicating and answering all of our questions as well as being there either in person or by telephone at our beckoned call, even after hours. The electrical team was in and out in one day (with a few hour follow up later). The remainder of ALL of the work, framing, flooring, ceilings wall to wall including the stairs was all done by ONE worker, Luis (19 yrs. with LUX). He worked 10 hour days and took the time to do the work as if it was his own basement telling me "you paid good money, you deserve good workmanship"! I cannot recommend LUX more! Don't let the price of the product scare you away, yes the product is pricy but the quality of the workmanship, the efficiency of the workers and the warranty of the product is well worth the cost. Fantastic work by OC team, My basement looks fantastic and they did what they said they would, everything was planned properly and they asked my opinion whenever is needed or requested by me. They made sure they clean after the day is done. All in all, they did an awesome job.
