We have a steep and curving driveway with a stone retaining wall on one side and a culvert on the other side. The pitch of the driveway had to be exactly right to shed water away from an underneath garage and basement. George and his crew came in with a competitive bid, they are super friendly and very professional and completer the job in a little over 10 hours spread over just 2 days. They carefully removed the old surface, prepared the sloped drive and compacted it with heavy roller-vehicles, and load down an underlayment layer and a top layer in short order. This was a truly good, even amazing process and done so well. We are very proud of and happy with our new driveway!

Overall went well. They showed up exactly when they said they would on the first day of work. There was about a 3 week delay between when the base layer and the top went down, in part because of weather, not sure why else. They would have gotten straight A's had they been more proactive about when they'd be here, when they'd be back - I was always the one initiating contact. That said they are known for their quality and experience.

This was a large residential driveway replacement, complicated by the presence of water, gas, electrical, irrigation and landscaping lighting. I wanted a company that has experience with large, complex projects. Capability was a greater consideration than price. The job was quoted quickly, and once agreed upon, it was scheduled quickly. The crew arrived on time and did a great job. The driveway looks pristine and the site was cleaned up nicely upon completion of work. Although price was a secondary consideration, the quoted cost was very much in line with competing bids. Best means of communication was by calling/texting Tony or Fern on their mobile phone. The office phone is fine for leaving messages, but there is a time lag when using that method. I highly recommend this company. The young children living across the street loved the big trucks and watching the equipment in action.

He was absolutely excellent. In fact, I then went to the neighbors and we had all of Homans Lane from the street in by him. He did my yard in 09. The price was prorated, altogether we probably had about $30,000 worth of paving done but I paid a 1/5 share from the street to my driveway. It was divided up all the way depending on how many of us used it. It was a good price and he does quality work. I am very pleased with him. I would recommend him to anybody. It took one day to complete the work. Probably about 4 or 5 people came to complete the work. The workers were just fine. The area was cleaned perfectly.

Once they were able to start the driveway, they did an extremely professional job. We've had our driveway done in the past, but it never looked as good as this. In fact, neighbors told us how great it looks.

Tony arrived early on his 1st visit to assess the job. He was professional, clearly experienced, and knowledgeable. I obtained 2 other estimates. I chose Pickering not based on price alone - this was a big job and I needed it done right. I could not be happier with my decision. They did an amazing job from start to finish.

Got about 9 estimates to repave my driveway and walkway. Then came George Pickering whose signs I have seen over many local towns. George presented an alternative to a classic rip out driveway. He was able to repave over the existing. He spent over 5 hours repairing and fixing the high and low spots of the existing driveway. he graded the area near the garage doors to prevent any water entering my garage. When he was finished I could not believe how incredible my driveway and walkway looked. George is a throw back to a time when contractors were not only honest but took pride in their work. I highly recommend this company.
