After receiving 4 bids for a new roof, I went with CCC. The sales pitch is formal and takes about an hour. They provided the most thorough info about roofing options, and even though their price was a bit higher than some others, I came away with some comfort that they would do a good job with superior products (and better guarantees that include labor). Be prepared to commit at the end of the day of the sales visit if you want a discount (a practice that many companies appear to use, but which drives me crazy when I have to make a sudden decision to spend thousands of dollars on something once every 25 years). Due to some unforeseen flashing challenges and inclement weather, the job took longer than the 3 days predicted, but that wasn't a problem. Everyone I dealt with, from the folks in the office to Seneca, the crew chief, were extremely professional and communicative. They took care to address flashing and underlayer issues around chimney, dormers and roof pipes, and they explained the work that they had to do (which had been figured into their quote, so there were no surprises at the end). I had been concerned about newer plantings on the property, and they took great care to avoid any damage. They did a great job cleaning up at the end of each day, and they scheduled a walk through with me when the job was completed. It's a drag to have to spend $$$ on a roof, but I feel very good about the experience and trust that if there are any problems in the future, they would be there to address them.

I did not go with Capital. I found Capital to lack a personal touch. Communication between the field and in-office employees could be better - it failed on more than one occassion. It seems too much effort goes into their sales /marketing (materials included) and not enough goes into personalizing the experience. Capital was professional in all interactions I did have with them, though.

Dave and his crew were able to schedule us in earlier than expected. They were punctual, courteous and efficient. Everyone I talked to seemed very knowledgeable and was very communicative and kept me updated on the progress of the roof replacement. They finished the job sooner than anticipated and did a nice job cleaning after themselves at the end of the day. Dave had done some work for us a few years back repairing a balcony that had a leak for years. Other roofing companies tried to fix the leak but with no avail. Capital Construction seemed to know right away what was wrong, found the leak, replaced the rotten wood and created a pitch to let the water flow out more easily. We have not had a leak since they fixed the balcony. I've been impressed by Dave's work and will contact his company first for any roofing/siding repairs.

I have never had a project done on my house that has gone so smoothly. I will definitely be calling them back for all future projects From the moment I made initial contact Their office manager Carla is sweet and caring and handles all calls with care Then my first walk through with Jude was nothing but delightful As work started we were nervous about nails in the driveway and our tires but no worries here EVERYDAY they before they leave they do a walk through with magnets to pick up all nails that may have gone astray through out the day its nice to finally find a company who is respectful of the homes they work on Have already recommended to my sister who is looking to get her back deck remodeled

AMAZING -- my plain old brick chimney transformed into an amazing river stone piece of art work at first i just wanted the crumbles to go away but figured while i had them team available I would do it the way I have always wanted it We made the transition from brick to stone and it was the best decision ever not a spec of dusk was left in the yard when they were done The dry vac and swept it all up. a few pebbles appeared in the grass but for all the beauty they created I can pick up the casual pebble here or there ! Have already scheduled them to come back to redo our back deck with that word composite so no more splinters for the kids

I called Capital Construction and they came right away to give me a free quote. The estimator was very polite and everyone that I dealt with was very nice and professional.

Everything went well, From the first phone call to the walk through with CC. Everyone was very nice and always on point.

Capital Construction did an excellent job. The porch is elevated and is located above another porch belonging to the bottom condo unit. It had not been refinished in a few years. They sanded out the rough spots, nailed down loose boards and then proceeded to stain the porch. Julio and Ramiro took great care to ensure the porch below was covered and also hand stained the porch to ensure that there would be little to no dripping onto the porch below. It only took a couple of days to do and at the end of each day they cleaned and neatened up the work area as well as the porch below. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

The team members at Capital Construction did an outstanding job from start to finish. They were on time everyday, they were neat and very respectful to my property. They completed the job on time as promised and when they completed the job all debris was taking away, One of the team members contacted me after the job was completed to ask if I was completed satisfied with the work that was performed. I would highly recommend this company to all my friends and family and I plan on having them back this summer to more work.

The entire company was very professional and showed up on time. They finished earlier than stated on the last day as well. So far the product is great. My only issue was that my attic was left with nails and dirt/debris from the new roof. I would have liked to have them come clean that area up as well.

It went well. Everyone who came to the house was very professional and I am confident that the work was done well. The guys who repaired, plastered and painted my damaged bedroom wall did an amazing job - matched the existing paint perfectly.

Outstanding workmanship and, just as important, honest, professional, and quick to respond if there is a problem. I have, in the past, hired "some guy" to do various jobs for me. Perhaps "some guy" was the lowest bidder. Occasionally "some guy" was a deal right here on Angie's List. Often they were someone who just cold called me with an unbelievable offer. Capital Construction probably won't beat "some guy's" price. But over the years I realized that I was calling "some guy", or maybe "some other guy", to redo the work that was done poorly the first time around. Not so with the projects I've had done by Capital. This is the third major project I've done with Capital. Things never go perfectly, but one thing I'm certain of - when I call this team they always get it fixed in the end. They stand by their work. I fully intend to call them back for the next major project I need done.

From the initial sales consult, the project planning and the actual construction and project wrap up, every step was done with professionalism. The quality workmanship, as well as the efficiency of the crew was impressive.

This repair and rebuild project was difficult and disruptive to our family and home but Ken Fogarty and his crew with CCC Inc did a commendable job of minimizing that disruption and getting this project to move along swiftly and without complication. While we found the overall price to be somewhat higher than other contractors, we chose Capital because they would be able to handle all aspects of the job - the roof work, the interior walls, painting and floor repairs. This was so much easier that my trying to coordinate with the various subcontractors that would be needed on this kind of job. The roof work was done quickly, a dumpster temporarily placed in the driveway and a large crew was present along with a supervisor. The clean up was spotless, everything raked, swept, patio furniture all put back. They took every effort to ensure that water intrusion from the ice dams would never occur again- I appreciated their extra efforts. The interior work required that we move all our furniture into just several rooms so they could do the floors - Ken and his team worked long hours and pushed hard to get this done in a timely manner since we had to stay in a hotel for 6 nights while this was going on. Ken was always available, pleasant and accommodating. The final result with floors all done, walls finished and painted is just great. There isn't a spot off anywhere. We did have trouble with layers of dust on our furniture from the floor work but Ken quickly offered to have Capital pay for a house cleaning when done - very much appreciated and an extra effort. Overall we were completely satisfied with this work and will certainly look to use Capital Construction Contracting Inc again if we have a need.

I have worked with Capital Construction on several occasions for myself and for my family and could not be happier. Jude was great to work with and his professionalism was top notch. Trusting a company to do work on your home now is hard to come by but with these guys it wasn't a worry at all!!!! Overall, extremely pleased with the price and high quality of work.

I need flashing and a chimney cap. Capital Construction Contracting seems to do both. I called and left a message WITH A PERSON on November 11. Today is November 18. I have not heard from them. Very disappointing and very unprofessional!

No bid submitted (after waiting 10 weeks) so no work done. The overall rating above as fair is a function of the choices. I would have preferred. NA.

Work started and finished on time. Was very pleased with work completed. Would hire again.

He came on time. He was very courteous. He was knowledgeable in explaining everything in great detail.

The job went great, we were very pleased. They were professional and worked in a safe manner.

We had ceiling damage from an ice dam in the roof. Having been very happy with exterior work that Capital Construction did for us last year, we wanted only this company to do our interior repairs. Ken called to make the appointment, came on time, and reviewed the job with his painters. These two painters (Juan and John?) worked on our garage last summer, and we think they are just wonderful - professional and personable! Later in the day, Ken returned to wrap up the project. Could not be happier with Capital Construction!

As usual, Jude and Capital Construction was fantastic! I can't recommend them enough and all of our neighbors are having them do work at their houses. You can't go wrong using them.

This winter was pretty tough, with over 7 feet of snow. We ended up with an ice dam forming on the roof above our bedroom, which caused significant leaking directly into our bedroom (gallons of water per day). Capital was the only contractor to return my call when I began calling around, and while they could not respond immediately due to the volume of work they experienced, they were able to schedule a visit to clear off our roof. Some confusion resulted regarding the date of their visit, and they ended up coming the day before I expected them. Since the leak we had wasn?t fixed by their initial visit, I didn't think they?d come yet. After some back & forth, I received a call from one of their contractors, who said he?d be by the next day to do a bit more work to help us out. Darryl (sp?) came by that very next day with a bigger ladder than their previous visit, and proceeded to chisel a channel into the ice dam on our roof. This, finally, mitigated the leak in our place. That portion of things turned out very well in the end, and I was quite please with that. I followed this up with a request to have the repair of all of this water damage estimated, and had a followup visit from Jude. We reviewed the damage, discussed what needed to be done, and he said he?d email me an estimate. I have yet to receive said estimate, and followed up with their office manager Karla multiple times before giving up. So, while they actually got back to me in a ridiculously busy winter season, and provided great service, I?ve been disappointed that I haven?t been able to engage them again.

The arrived on time and three guys went right to work to remove ice dams. They cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. I was very thankful because I had called about ten companies and couldn't get through. Capital came when I needed them and did a spectacular job

I contacted Capital Construction to check on the status if my condo's roof to see if it needed repairs after this winter. It took a couple weeks, but someone came out to take a look and (we thought) an estimate. On Thursday morning he said it would be provided by Monday. Two weeks later I received an email that it was ready. But no, they would not provide anything in writing unless we all met with them, even after I explained that it was an association so that was difficult. After I requested even a ballpark figure of the work they were recommending they declined to propose and I never heard back from them again even when asking a question about ability to meet on a call or come to another a preferred location for the meeting. I was highly suspicious about a company who would not communicate any information with me. I am the treasurer and as I live on the first floor, the top (third) floor resident was there at the estimate.
