The job was performed great. Originally it was scheduled to start the day after Thanksgiving but was delayed due to rain. We opted to reschedule after the New Year and the job was scheduled for 2 Jan 19. The crew showed up around 8:30 and were all very nice. The PM showed up a little later and everything went smooth. The job took about 5 hours to replace 3 skylights. The only issue was trying to figure out the remotes since they are solar powered blinds and window openings. After a couple calls to the skylight companies customer service, Sam (PM) did a great job sticking around until all remotes were programmed and everything worked. The deck and yard were cleaned up and back to the original condition. Overall it was a great experience and I'd recommend this company to anyone that asks. That of course is pending any future issues if the skylights leak or have issues but since they were just installed yesterday, it's early for that determination. It did rain last light and there were no leaks so that's a great start!

It went very well. The guys came over two mornings in a row. First to repair the damage, re-tape the Sheetrock, and sand. The next day they finished sanding, and then painted the ceiling. Looks great, and we are happy with the repair. The only issue I had was communication is sometimes very spotty. They are very busy, and messages left with the office are not always relayed to the people working in the field. Our construction manager left me his card to make sure I could get through to someone, and that really helped.

The job went very well. The crew were very professional, quiet and respectful. If you didn't know, you would never realize that there had been an air conditioner in that wall. Everything went smoothly and the job was finished more quickly than I had expected. Capital isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for and I have always been very pleased with the work they have done for me.

We had a leak and decided to get our skylights replaced rather than fixed. We went with Capital because of the great reviews and service awards but overall we were disappointed. We didn't receive a pre-construction meeting even though we were told we'd get one and that threw the whole project off. The crew that came out to replace the skylights wasn't familiar with our project and had to be told re-framing the skylights was in our contract. When the skylights were re-framed, there wasn't sufficient clearance left for the sheetrock to be installed - which we found about later after another host of problems that appeared. After the roofing was completed, the crew noted that the roof tiles didn't really match. When we brought it up with our production manager, he said it was the closest they could get. We were not told about the mismatched tiles before they went up. Picture attached. A separate crew came in to complete the sheetrock. When the first pass of sheetrock was completed, the finished casing jutted into the widow frame by about a half inch preventing the insect screen from being removed. When the second pass of sheetrock was complete, the insect screen could only be removed with careful maneuvering and most times ended up scraping the walls. Added to this was the uneven finishing of the sheetrock. Some protruded into the window frame, some was even with the frame and some stepped down from the frame. Pictures attached. We requested that it be redone, this time sanding down the wooden framing until enough clearance could be obtained to install the sheetrock properly. After the third pass, it looks great - all the sheetrock is even with the window from, but the insect screen still scrapes slightly against the wall when it is removed. We decided to rebuild the screens at this point to be a little smaller so there would be no more scraping on the walls - something I feel we wouldn't have to do if the project was planned better from the beginning. At the end of the day, our leak is fixed and we are pleased with that, but I wouldn't use them again. If you are thinking about it, insist on the pre-construction meeting. I don't care how small your project is. Incorporate material sign-offs into your contract. Our contract stated the shingles would match our existing look but they don't so that description wasn't enough. Sign-offs would have been better. Ensure you know how many different crews will be working, the timeline and that they know how the pieces fit. Despite the lack of communication, this project would have gone SO MUCH BETTER if the first crew built the skylight frames with finishing work in mind. It turned a project that should have taken two days or so into a project that took a week. Also, ask about the details of finishing work. With all this worked out up front, I think the experience would have been a good one. One prop I will give this company is that they had no problems doing the necessary rework to get this to an acceptable level (we only had them redo the interior rework).

I was tired of having storage boxes on my basement floor and stacked on top of each other. It seemed like whatever I was looking for was always in a box on the bottom and everything else would need to be moved around!! I contacted Capital Construction to build some shelving in my basement and I am kicking myself for not contacting them sooner. I now have a 20 foot wall of floor to ceiling custom shelving, deep enough to hold the Rubbermaid storage boxes. This was a one day job. The team arrived promptly, did an excellent job of cleaning up and made sure I was happy with their work. Prior to starting Capital Construction supplies a full contract detailing exactly what the job entails and the cost.... never any surprises when working with the team at Capital. I have hired them for several large projects (roof, skylight, siding, etc) over the past four years but this seemingly small one day job is going to make my life so much easier. Give them a call to help organize your life too!

They were responsive at first. Jude came to give an estimate but never followed up. I called and emailed the company several weeks later. The office manager CC'd Jude on an email about following up and he still never did. Complete waste of my time and his.

It was not a good experience. They whole sales part and contract was a total nightmare. They kept changing things, there was a lot of deception and some dishonesty. The work was ok when they finally got around to doing it. It took forever to start the work because what I agreed to they tried changing and delaying after I paid them in October. They didn’t start the work until the week before Christmas. They wanted me to pay 90% when the job was only 50% done which I thought was outrageous. I did not agree to that. They offered for me to use their finance company which they stated would not have a fee, but there was an additional $1200 fee on the final contract.

Capital Construction rescued me from a job gone bad. It is tough to get a good contractor and even tougher still to get one willing to correct and complete a job abandoned by a previous contractor who left the job mid stream. Capital was a pleasure to work with.

This is my second positive experience with Capital Construction. They are highly professional and easy to work with. I greatly appreciated the detailed quote I received that included information about the exact products they would be using on the roof. I visited their showroom to choose from a wide array of samples and they allowed me to take some home to ensure the colors seemed correct for the job. Their pricing may not be the lowest, but is fair, and you know the job will be done to high standards.

Excellent service, excellent communications. From the first moment I engaged Capital Construction for my project, I was very impressed with the level of communication and respect for my time. The crews showed up on time, did excellent work, and cleaned up beautifully at the end of each day. Could not recommend more!

Communication was horrible. Job was supposed to to start on several different days however, they would show up when they had time (said mine was a small side job, yet it still cost me 5 figures!) and would not communicated when they would be there. The crew that showed up was not familiar with the scope of work, cigarette butts were strewn around the property, and my own trash can was used to mix concrete in and then left for several weeks and took many attempts to get them to remove. We chose the company based on reviews, paid more than other quotes we had and yet the process was still very painful.

Capital Construction is very professional and extremely quick to reply. But they require to in person meetings to give you an estimate. This is not something they tell you before you have a first meeting. Given that nobody else I met with required a second meeting to get an estimate, I found this extra process annoying and a waste of my time. I went with another company on this project.

The work went very well. Capital Construction was clear about all costs and honest about sub-contracting prices. They worked very well with an independent sub-contractor. They were very reliable in terms of keeping to schedule and were usually easy to contact. The initial work was rushed at the end, causing some flaws in the final stretch. After an interval to schedule a return, they were very thorough in correcting all errors noted. In sum, Capital Construction kept to their commitment to complete customer satisfaction in the end. Prices are higher end, but you know you will get what you asked for in the end.

They were amazing and I would recommend them to anyone! They got back to me quickly, they were very thorough in our initial scoping meeting and the oversight on each project was fantastic. The teams working on the projects were very professional and left my house cleaner than before they started the work. There were also regular visits by supervisors to check on the jobs. They were also very helpful in figuring out the financing.

I had a very positive experience working with Barry Eldershaw of Capital Construction on a bid for an asphalt roof replacement on our Condo. Barry was responsive, thorough, knowledgeable, and bent over backwards to get us quick turnaround on delivering a bid. Capital strikes me as an extremely professional organization that prides itself on staying on the cutting edge of quality and efficiency in their work. I am convinced that working with Capital would have led to a completely worry free project that would have left us with a solid roof for the rest of our lives. Ultimately, our HOA chose a different contractor - but these guys were definitely in the running. I would recommend them to my friends.

From the view of company management, the team is excellent. The sales man worked hard. The project manager came to the place everyday and was flexible with minor adjustments. And the response to my requirements was quick. The roofers, the carpenters, and the painters, finished their jobs in a good schedule. The quality of the project also reached a good standard. My roof and windows survived rounds of heavy shower. Up to now, there is no leakage observed. My house is not big. There was concern that the canopy might be too big. But, it turns out to be a perfect fit. Some of my neighbors expressed their interest in such a canopy. That makes my happy. The painters are awesome. They suggested a good color to me. That is grey with a little blue. The whole team is nice and courteous. They worked carefully. Nothing and no men was broken. And my house has a new look. However, the cost was somehow beyond my budget.

We had the roof replaced, and from the time we walked in their office to discuss the type and color, to the time they came down and installed the roof in one day, we were impressed by their friendliness, professionalism, and work quality! The attention to detail was amazing. They actually cleaned up every piece of debris, so much so that the driveway looked better than when they started. I would highly recommend Capital!

Joe and Arthur were early just so they can take a look, make accurate measurements, and to foresee any possible problems or obstacles. They took the time to explain what they were going to do. I went to work, came home for lunch and the job was already complete. Joe and Arthur again explained the work that was done and made sure that all my questions were answered to my satisfaction, and that I was also satisfied with the work. Other than the truck ( with the sign Capital Construction on the side) there were no signs of them having been there. They left my yard and driveway spotless!!! Joe and Arthur were absolute professionals. I would hire Capital again, and request that these guys do the work.

We really loved our experience with CC. From Jude who was really patient and responsive when we were still hesitant about the project to the guys who performed the work, especially Shane and Scott who were really professional and always making sure we were happy with the work. It all went very smoothly and it was overall a stress-free experience for us. I highly recommend Capital Construction and would happily hire these guys again.

Jude and David and their team are professional, honest and responsive. They will make sure it is done right. They are not the cheapest bid but I have learned the hard way that you save by doing it right the first time. They are my first call for pretty much any work on our home or rental properties

Went very well overall - had new roof put on, work was done quickly with good clean up. Interior work was done next and involved opening up several walls, replacing insulation and putting new sheet rock up and painting walls and ceilings - had to replace a large area of oak flooring. the crew was professional, polite and worked quickly - most of the time they had plastic barriers up to keep the other parts of the house clean. At the end with the sanding of the floors there were no barriers up so there was an issue with dust everywhere but they paid for a house cleaning to help out. In the end the final work was done well and everything went smoothly. This was all paid for by homeowners insurance. I would hire them for other projects again

Once they started, their very courteous, professional crew worked every day weather permitting, sometimes in the rain until the project was completed. The result is a tremendous improvement in our house, and surpassed our expectations.

I called Capital Construction to come out and take a look at a leak in my 92 year old mom's roof. Originally done by a different contractor who was uncooperative about fixing the problem. Frank from CC came out to look at it and said he could fix it but did not want my mom to spend money paying him. He told us to call the original contractor again and insist he fix it. I was very impressed at how polite, professional and honest Frank was. I will call CC again when I need their services.

I feel deceived by Capital Construction. Capital Construction hired a subcontractor to replace the roof, something that was never discussed and I was under the impression Capital Construction’s employees would take care of the work. One of Capital Construction’s more appealing features was their willingness to meet with us a week before the work was set to start to discuss access and how to protect the gardens and neighboring properties. That meeting was pointless because Capital Construction’s production manager did not pass this on to the subcontractor. The gardens had fencing to direct access and wide planks for them to not trample the garden, yet the subcontractors ignored the fencing and planks and started to trample our gardens. We forced the subcontractor to respect the fencing and use the planks to protect the garden. Additionally, the subcontractors parked their van where it blocked the sidewalk and did not move it until I instructed them to move it. The workers also came and went without letting me know they were leaving, They left major pieces of trash in the garden and did not reconnect the gutter for the rear porch roof. I was left with a poor impression of Capital Construction and will not use them again.
