They came, they cleaned and they left.

They were very friendly and showed up on time. The work was completed quickly and thoroughly. At the end I was shown pictures of some issues with the gutters and the roof. No immediate repairs were recommended but the areas to watch were pointed out. They performed the service asked for and did not try to sell me on extras or recommend repairs that are not needed.

These guys were the best! They are out of the past type of workers where their words were their bond. They came when they said they would; they performed the work they said they would; they charged me the amount they said they would. This was a very difficult repair. Repairing a partial roof is much more difficult then just replacing the entire roof. Then repair was 70 feet up on a turret. Most other companies either just said 'no', they wouldn't do it, or quoted a price more then twice what Capital quoted. They came, they saw, they conquered!!!!!!!!!! A few weeks later we had a torrential downpour. There was a small leak. Two days later they came back and found the leak and fixed it. These guys are great! And no I'm not related :)

Dave Arrowsmith was great to work with - responsive and customer orientated. Contractor personnel arrive on time every day. Crew was professional and courteous. Roof work was started and completed as promised. Estimated cost was same as final cost. Very good job on clean up. Would definitely use contractor again.

They are very good at looking at something and knowing how to fix it immediately. The workers are very professional and they are very thorough! The issue was covered under my warranty so I wasn't charged anything. I was so impressed that they zipped in and took care of it. They also sent me pictures of what the problem was so that I could see what it was and why it needed fixed. I feel like they took the extra step for this issue. I recommended them to my neighbor and they use them too!

Dave from Capital Construction came out to our home to provide an estimate for porch support beam repair. We were looking to have specific beams and posts replaced as they had rotted. Dave provided us with a reasonable estimate and was informative about whether we should consider replacing the porch or not. We elected to have Dave and his crew come back to do the work on our porch. They replaced multiple support beams and posts and did so in an efficient manner. Our grounds were spotless and you would have no idea that construction was ongoing for two days as they were tidy and respectful. The two contractors and one assistant who came were knowledgable and helpful in planning final details. Ultimately, the work was of high quality and we were very pleased. One post used in the project showed some bark and we wished that a better post could have been used. Other than this minor issue, we were very happy and hope to have them return for future projects as we need.

Dave and his team were knowledgeable, accessible, flexible and willing to work within our budget and time contraints. It was an easy experience. Would recommend working with Capital Construction and will hire them for any future needs.

I have used Dave at Capital Constrction many times and am in the middle of contracting with him again for a major job. All work is reasonably priced and you can set your watch by him( he is either on time or will call)and he stands by his work.he will come and repair nothing he has ever workd on. Dave and his crew were excellent. They all arrived on time and left on time, and worked the entire day until the job was done (they finished on schedule). The site cleanup was spectacular. The crew was friendly and thoughtful. Dave himself is efficient and kind. I've since asked them to do another project, and highly recommend them.

Capital Construction did a fantastic job on our roof. David Arrowsmith was totally accessible and always got back to me right away. They gave a competitive quote (though not the cheapest, which was ok with me), and kept in touch with me between the time when we told them they got the job and the time they started work. David told me the job would take about a week with some days allowed for rain, and his estimate was right on. The work has been great, the crew was fantastic and showed up every day right on time, and the cleanup every day was phenomenal. They stripped the old roof and in the 9 months since the work was done, I've found a total of two old roofing nails on the lawn. When the job was done, David did a complete walk through with me as well. We have a small section of a walkway between the house and garage that has a flat roof which everyone who gave me quotes told me would be a problem. About a month after Capital Construction finished, we had a major 2-day rainstorm and that part of the roof leaked a little. I got in touch with David on a Thursday and he sent a crew to fix it at 7am on Saturday morning. And it hasn't leaked since. Finding someone who does a great job is hard enough but finding someone to come back and and patch something after they've been paid in full says a lot. We've been very happy with everything they've done.

Capital Construction was one of 3 or 4 companies we contacted to bid on the job. They called us back promptly and came out to look at the house when they said they would. We walked around the house together and they took notice of the extent of work necessary. Not painted in well over 10 years, the house needed extensive shingle repair and/or replacement in addition to the basic painting. Erin & Dave (sorry, I don't remember their last names) were the two people from the company who we dealt with. Both were professional, competent and very easy to work with. As all of the quotes we received were similar, we made the decision to use Capital because, basically, we liked them and trusted them. They gave us a detailed contract, including a step-by-step description of the work to be done. Once we signed, they told us the job would take about 2 weeks to complete and they would start one week after we signed. Throughout, they showed up when they said they would and worked steadily until all the work was completed. We had ample time to talk with them throughout, to point out things they'd missed (very few), to make decisions about color & style, etc. They (especially Erin) was very knowledgeable about the work and very helpful when we were confused (I was often confused; my husband not so much). In addition to a complete repair & repainting job, they also took down old rotten lattice work around the front porch and replaced it with new lattice work (painted to match the main house color). They were careful with our plants and everything was cleaned up and spotless when they were done. The job took exactly 2 weeks from start to finish. Our house looks just wonderful now. We love the new color (our neighbors love it, too) and we are very pleased with the whole experience.

We have used him many times. They arrived on time. They did a professional job. They cleaned up after the work was done. They behaved in a friendly and courteous manner I had a pleasant experience and they frequently exceed expectations and do everything that needs to the done.

He came out to my house on a second time and showed me the different cinder blocks. I was very impressed by him and he was very nice! He also offered to show me all of his licenses. I mailed him a picture of the wall I wanted to use and I am waiting to hear back from him.

I first contacted Dave in late January based on his positive reviews on Angie's List. After meeting him at the site he sent over a quote. I had him adjust the scope of work several times and meet me over at the site two more times with questions. Each time he was prompt and easy to deal with. Dave was willing to meet me at the site multiple times even though I didn't own the home yet (I was in the process of closing). A couple of other roofers I talked to had told me I would need to pay $200+ to get a quote if I didn't own the home. Capital's price was competitive and the service was great, so after I closed I gave Dave "go ahead." Dave and his crews were onsite the very next day. The work went quickly and the guys were friendly, neat and professional. The roof looks great now and a couple heavy spring storms have attested to the quality of Capital's work. My wife and I are considering adding some new skylights this summer and I definitely plan to give the work to Dave.

David and his team came and completed all of this work. The ordered a custom chimney cap and they fixed and replaced slate on our front mansard that looks perfect. The work was done quickly and professionally. They cleaned up everything perfectly. All work met or exceeded our expectations. All of the work we have had done with David and Capital Construction has been outstanding and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.

The estimate was for about $2500 for patch work and $16,000 for a new roof. A second opinion found no patch work or new roof to be required and suggested that the roof, although old might last another five years. i decided to follow this advice and to ignore the first recommendation.

They were fabulous. I found them through Angie's List. They were very responsive, very quick and very efficient. They were very clean. I thought that something was not working right. They came out immediately, fixed something and it was fine. They were amazing. I would recommend them to anyone. Their price was excellent because I had the other quotes that were a lot higher. They were very good. It was worth joining Angie's List to find them.

The work was does very efficiently and professionally. Although the weather was questionable on the first day of the project, at no time did I feel my house was in danger of being exposed to the elements. The crew is very polite and helpful and answered all my questions. My house and foundation plantings were carefully protected by extensive use of plastic tarps. The debris (and there was a lot of it since this old house had three layers of old shingles) was maticulously and immediately picked up and removed from the site. They use a small dump truck to avoid the problems that a dumpster can cause to a driveway. The masonry work was done quickly and expertly (down and up in one day) so I was not without a properly working chimney for more than an afternoon. Dave, the owner, can be difficult to reach by phone or e:mail so it's best to leave him a message on his answering machine and he will usually get back to you within a day if not sooner. The work was completed in 4 consecutive days of continuous work with a crew of 5-6 roofers and helpers. Once the work started they were determined to complete the job on time. I know a little bit about carpentry and roofing myself and tend to be pretty fussy about things and I felt very confident that these guys know what they are doing.

David with Capital Construction was very professional, helpful, honest and punctual during the entire process. He mentioned that a roof replacement was not needed because the roof was in good shape and still had years to go. He suggested to seal the area around the roof vents and the chimney and to fix some shingles that were bulging. He said it would be short money, around a couple of hundred dollars. I appreciate his help and his honest advice and also his understanding that a new home buyer often doesn't have the money to replace the entire roof. His crew arrived on time and well prepared. They were very polite, helpful and informative. They didn't mind me asking questions, which I tend to do because I like to learn about repair stuff. They were not in a rush to move on to the next job and they devoted their time and attention to addressing the repairs at my house. I would like to say again that David's crew was very polite and helpful, which is very important because a homeowner would like to connect to the personnel so that issues could be discussed as a team. I would highly recommend David Arrowsmith and his company, Capital Construction.

Overall it was a very good experience.

They did everything they said they were going to do and delivered on time. They did a great analysis of my roof so as to know what was needed to be done. They came in and did the work on schedule and on budget. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

The quality and timeliness of their work was fantastic. Dave kept me informed throughout the project. His budget was accurate. I would very much recommend Capital Construction and use them again if the need arises.
