They performed the work in a very professional and thorough manner. There were two people, and together they were very efficient in moving ladders around and getting all the gutters/spouts cleaned out and inspected. Jude was very friendly and even showed me pictures he took of the clean gutters, to show me everything was good to go! We had one particular trouble-spot where the gutters were so packed with debris that rain water would overflow -- it's all cleaned out now. I would have given them an A+++ but there was a bit of confusion around the day/time that the appointment was setup. The first time they showed up to do the work, but without a specific appointment confirmed with me. I explained that I wanted to be home when the work was done, so they packed up and came another day/time that worked with my schedule. David and Jude were very professional. I will use them again for work around my house.

They did a good job cleaning the gutters and fulfilled that part of the deal. The other part of the deal for the roof evaluation was never fulfilled and I never heard back anything about it from the technician. He was prompt.

We had a leaky roof that was causing interior water damage. We bought a Big Deal package to get our gutters cleaned as well. They quickly identified the issue that was causing the leak on the roof and repaired it. The person was professional and knowledgeable. I would hire them again.

All 4 times I have called, I just get the voicemail and no one has ever returned my call. I called again today and it says the mailbox is full and they aren't accepting anymore messages.

I hired Capital Construction to build a roof deck on top of my condo in South Boston. The project included construction of a private stairway through the unit as well as the deck itself (about 300 sq ft). Jude and Scott did an awesome job with the deck and stairs and I'm very happy with the final result. Construction moved very quickly without any unnecessary delays, and I was informed of any issues/changes as they arose. Before the project began, it was unfortunately stalled for about a year due to ridiculously excessive red tape with the city. However Dave consistently stayed on top of the ISD and kept me updated throughout the process. When the permit was finally issued, construction started right away and didn't stop until the project was completed. Dave was easy to get in contact with and always promptly returned my emails and phone calls. I would highly recommend Capital Construction.

Bought a deal for $199 gutter cleaning. On Friday of that same week, the team showed up to clean the gutters. Just one snag: we hadn't even called to schedule the appointment, and had no idea they were coming! They came to the billing address, which was not the address at which we needed the gutters cleaned. Luckily my husband was home and took them to the correct property. Other than that mis-communication they were great and did exactly what they said they would do. I would use them again.

Dave called within 24 hours of ordering the service, a Saturday, and they were out on Monday. They came out, cleaned the gutters, which were very high, and left with no mess or any issues. We were very pleased.

Capital Construction was very professional, responsive and flexible. They provided a consultation that worked in my schedule. At that time they provided an exact quote for the repair work. And then and then repaired the roof immediately. While repairing the roof, the examined the entire roof, chimney and gutters for no additional cost. They left no evidence behind of having done repair work - except that the roof is now fixed. Additionally, the invoice matched the estimate exactly so there were no surprises.

It went quite well. The price was far more reasonable than other estimates we had received. The workers were respectful toward the owner (my sister) despite a less than pristine environment in which to work. The finished results appear quite satisfactory. the owner, David Arrowsmith, took it upon himself to acquire some necessary paper work that was needed and not a available to him by the owner. He also took the necessary steps to assure the inspection process went smoothly and successfully. I found this company, Capital Construction, on Angie's List during my membership and contacted them on behalf of my sister who needed the work done on her property. Both she and I are grateful to Angie's List for their listing. I would recommend Capital Construction to others.

On time, on budget and at a fair price. Very professional, couteous, punctual and great to work with. Couldn't ask for better people to work with. Their A rating well deserved.

Aside from a brief delay on the agreed upon start date due to bad weather, David?s crew arrived on schedule. Several days were spent on removing the old rubber roof before laying down and securing the new 2? insulation material. Work continued smoothly from then on. Work included re-pointing several chimneys, replacing flashing and installation of chimney caps. An old skylight was replaced and repairs made to two other skylights. A new gutter and downspout was also installed on the neighbor's roof and the access shed to the roof was also covered and waterproofed. Throughout the project, David was very responsive to all my questions and concerns and gave me regular status reports on the progress of the work. A few small problems that were not covered in the initial proposal were also corrected at no additional charge. His work crew was also very friendly and helpful in explaining the work they were doing. After completion of work, all construction debris was removed and the premises cleaned up. Payment schedule was: 1/3 up front, 1/3 after ¾ completion and 1/3 after completion and final inspection. In short, I was very impressed with Capital Construction?s quality of work, level of professionalism and adherence to cost and time estimates.

They were very professional and performed great work. Would hire them again. Only issue was with responsiveness -- on two occasions (scheduling work, discussing payment) took quite a bit of time to hear back.

The projects were great and working with Dave was fantastic. We had never had to have two large projects like this completed for our Condo Building so we vetted a few contractors from Angie's List. Capital Construction was one of three estimates we received and once our association voted to proceed we set things up with Dave. We originally only needed the Dormer project to be done but some heavy rains caused some leaks on the rear of the building we hadn't expected. We asked Dave if he could estimate that project for us and then we switched our focus midstream. Dave was very flexible and now we were faced with not one but two roofing projects to complete. While a copper gutter on the rear might have been a little more expensive, considering no one will see it per se, it was worth the investment. All of the contractors were great to deal with, friendly, timely and professional. Once the emergency rear project was completed we then resumed our original Dormer project and things went like clockwork. With Dave having the experience to handle the South End Historic requirements, we only had to worry about timing, cost, window choices and paint colors. Both projects went very smoothly and communication was excellent throughout both of the projects. We'll be hiring Capital again come Spring time for some additional exterior painting as well as a new set of stairs. Truly nice guys to work with & Dave really went the extra mile to bring in both projects on budget and on time.

I can't fault David and his crew. From the initial estimates to the finished job I can't rate them highly enough. The only problem we encountered was that hardieplank had discontinued the color we wanted. David worked tirelessly with Hardiplank and managed to get us the color we wanted. The crew worked fast and were highly professional. They are a pleasure to work with and on a personal note I will be asking David and his crew to do work around my apartment.

Excellent job from start to finish.

I have some particularly high up gutters I'd probably hurt myself trying to clean, so I hired some pros from one of the "Big Deals" offered. Took awhile to schedule a date that worked - the weather was not cooperating with outdoor work. But once it was scheduled, they came over and got the gutters cleaned no problem. Since they're a roofing company, I knew they could be trusted not to mess up my roof in the process of being up there. Overall things cleaned up quite nicely.

Called and left a message. Call returned! Home visit and estimate given! Emails setting date of work! They showed up and did the work Great job and they do what they said they would do!

They were responsible and the price was fair. I don't know much about it because my husband was the one who dealt with them. Their responsiveness was very good. On one occasion they were a little slow getting back to us.
