Sears Optical is excellent. It is a Husband and Wife team but I usually see the wife who does a very good job is knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything to you. They are also punctual, I have never had to wait. I am very pleased by her and the offices services.
Description of Work: I have eye issues so I see her quite often. I have had a scratched eye ball that she has treated and most currently she is treating the cataracts that are coming on now due to my diabetes.

We've been to Sears Optical in Burlington a few times in the last few years for eye exams, glasses for a stylish Mom, glasses for a teenage boy, and most recently for contact lens fitting for the same teenage boy. Every visit has been excellent. Service, quality, and value are high. There are frequent specials for glasses that provide excellent value and there's plenty of stylish choices in frames. The eye glass protection program is affordable and practically necessary for a teenage boy. Dr. Qiaomei Cheng performs a thorough and caring eye exam. Sandi and other staff are professional, pleasant, and personable. Someone at this Sears location in Burlington is doing something well because I have an equally good experience at Sears Automotive in Burlington.
Description of Work: Eye Exam, glasses for teenage son, glasses for Mom, and contact lens fitting for teenage son.

I wouldn't go back to Sears Optical because the eye doctor is not very professional. She carries her cell phone with her and it went off about five times during my eye exam. She actually answered it two of the times and talked to some man (who I could hear) briefly! I thought about asking her to turn it off, but decided not to. Also, she wasn't at all communicative about the exam. I've had exams regularly since I was 8 years old so I know the drill, but she brushed off all my questions. She ended up giving me a slightly different prescription from the one I've had for the past 10 years or so, and I asked her about it, and she said "That's what you are now." That's it. That said, when I went back to pick up my glasses, I asked to see her again, explaining that I wasn't seeing as well out of the sample pair of contacts she gave me, and she did voluntarily write me a new prescription based on my old numbers. That was nice of her, but that was really the only positive thing about my experience with her. It's too bad, because the staff at Sears Optical are really nice and friendly -- I enjoyed working with them. They just need a better eye doctor. Dr. Anosike just isn't very professional. Doctor, if you're reading this, you need to turn off your cell phone during patient visits! And actually listen and answer questions!

It was an extremely postitive experience. I waited only 3-5 min to get in to see the doctor. I felt very comfortable the whole time. After the eye exam the staff helped me pick out two pairs of eyeglasses. The one thing that really impressed me was the fact that they told me about the free pair of glasses I could get from my health provider. They helped me choose glasses that would minimize the total amount I had to spend, while still helping my find I pair that I liked. Also helped me understand that my spending was FSA eligible.
Description of Work: I received a full eye exam from the doctor on staff. I also was fitted for two pairs of eyeglasses.
