The work was great, Dariusz is beyond conscientious. He actually talked me out of spending more than I planned. My home system is is now organized and we're down to a single remote. I'm not a lawyer, but I think it might be criminally irresponsible not to purchase from Q Audio. Dariusz is that rare audiophile who has a practical side -- I'm sure if you wanted a 4 thousand dollar turntable paired with 10 thousand dollar tube amplifier he'd be more than happy to help.

With his laptop Dariusz checked and made changes in the connections, organized and reindexed my library and suggested we could improve reception. My husband would be able to explain more accurately what he was doing. I kinda glaze over at the process. I felt confident in him immediately. He was very engaging and spent over an hour on the system. I'm hoping he will come back to make the major change he suggested. And he was $100 less than the minimal fee of $199 the Geek Squad would have charged.

There was no sound coming from one of our speakers. The turntable (we still have a lot of old records) was also not working. I found Dariusz Dobrolinski and Q Audio by Googling "stereo repairs Cambridge MA," which turned up glowing reports on Yelp. I sent Dariusz an e-mail, and he replied within a day and was at our house the day after that. He solved the problem of the nonfunctioning speaker: it had been incorrectly reconnected after being moved while other work was done in that room; also a part in the amplifier needed replacing. He also fixed the turntable and sorted the jungle of wires neatly. Lastly, he made some optional suggestions for improving the sound quality of the speakers in the future in case we were interested. He did all of this within an hour--and that includes going to a store to get the replacement part--and charged us a grand total of $85. On top of that, he is a very nice man, and I was happy to meet him.
