By far the BEST experience I have had with ANY contractor I have hired since living in Somerville. And we have had roofers, painters, gutters redone, landscaping, electricians and plumbers. It is the HIGH season and I emailed Oliveria Painters after getting a recommendation from one of my clients to re stain and seal our deck. Even though this is the busiest time of year they got back to me with in 24 hours and were able to schedule an appointment to come by and do an estimate that week. They showed up to do the estimate a bit earlier than scheduled (that was OK) and wanted to schedule the job the following week. I was shocked. It took me 6 MONTHS to get the last painter I hired to even give me a firm date. They kept in touch, came when promised and actually worked on a weekend, both Saturday and Sunday to get the job done. They worked on a SUNDAY all day from morning till evening. Rafael and his crew were polite, professional, tidy, extremely hardworking and a total pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend them and we are hiring them to come back and paint the outside of our condo for which they also promptly got us an estimate. Their prices are also VERY reasonable. I had worked with another very well known, well reviewed painter in Somerville who was immensely difficult to deal with and twice as expensive.I certainly wished I had known about Oliveira Painting then! And it just get's better! Rafael and his dad came out on a HOLIDAY to clean our gutters after I had called the original gutter company who we paid to install brand new gutters at least 10 times to ask them to do it. Rafael came out within 24 hours of my request and on a holiday. They are just THE BEST! I can't believe I finally have found a contractor with a unparalleled WORK ETHIC and amazing service. I will recommend them to every one. The are just amazing!

Excellent in all respects; very clear and responsive contracting process; very professional management of the job; excellent on site foreman; agreeable to minor changes to the work while in progress; excellent execution of the work; even agreed to allow deduction from the final amount due of costs of repair for minor damage to a few aluminum roof tiles. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their house painted.

Excellent experience - monolith, Rafe arrived on time immediately get to work on the paint job. They were extremely professional, a pleasure to they work within our budget. we are now using from for our deck work excellent service.

This is the second time I used Oliveira's Painting. Last year I put my house on the market and had them repaint the interior completely. The job was done promptly, his staff was super knowledgable and the job was done super clean. We could not believe that nothing was damaged and that everything look so great in such a short period of time. This year we had much more extensive work done. We had to remove a few walls and had them new drywall installed. We also had the exterior part of our house done (decks and fences). The house looks great. His prices are fair and his staff is very pleasant to have around. He finished the job when he told us he would as well. And even the drywall job - which involves some sanding and dust - was done in a very clean efficient way. The carpentry work was great as well.

Quote was prompt; we were kept apprised of the starting date. Francisco and his crew were prompt, courteous, professional, and ever accomodating. Preparation is 80% of a good paint job, and Oliveira was meticulous, removing mildew from risers, caulking, repairing broken shingles The crew was cheerfully responsive to our requests and punch lists; coordinated well with the carpenter making minor repairs; kept the yards neat. They did a great job of preserving the landscaping and avoiding paint drops on the stonework. This is the fourth time we have had the house painted in thirty years; we recommend Oliveira without reservation.

The exterior trim [house is vinyl sided] was painted in 2004 when the buidling went condo. Within a couple of years the paint started to peel, and by this year there were chips everywhere; I could sit on the porch and flick it off with a toe! I called three painters from Angie's List, and while they all were close in price range, I felt the most comfortable with Oliveira Painting's approach, attitude, and warranty. They worked the start date around an outside family event, showed up on time, and were more than professional. They cleaned up after themselves with an outside vac, covered every conceivable area with drop cloths, helped take out and put back in the storm windows, made sure the windows were not painted shut, checked in with us if there was a question, advised us on paint vrs stain without pressuring one way or the other, were quiet [the neighbors were thrilled to not have to listen to a radio every day], friendly, respectful, and grateful for little things, like a cool drink, brownie fresh from the oven, or the ability to use the empty side of the garage to store tools and paint overnight [our suggestion, not theirs]. I cannot say enough good things about this crew; I even lamented the fact that they were done before my similarly aged step daughter came home for a couple of days.....these guys were classy enough I'd have introduced them! We will be having them do some interior painting. We are immensely grateful for the workmanship and professionalism.

Oliveira Painting did a wonderful job for us. The job was reasonably priced, and the company staff professioinal and prompt. I never had a problem getting a response from them, nor any explanation I needed of the work to be done. Total time for the job was just over one day, despite problems with rainy weather. A supervisor was on premises the entire time. I would definitely have them back for additional work.

They did a beautiful job. We had a lot of rain the month of June, so it took way longer than any of us anticipated. His crew is fantastic. They worked really hard and are excellent craftsmen. Also his price was fair. We would absolutely use them again!

He was honest with me and told me that I should not pay a lot of money for a small project. He said my work could be covered by a few friends. I appreciated his honesty.

From beginning to end, Oliveira Painting was extremely professional. The entire crew--from owners Ron and Rafael to all the painters--showed up on time for every stage of the process, and everyone was incredibly nice and helpful. Ron was very focused on doing the job right, including convincing me that the house didn't need a full prime--which would have meant more income for him! Ron and Rafael kept in touch with me throughout the entire process and made sure I was aware of everything that would need coordination or preparation, which made it much easier for me to coordinate with all building owners. When the job was done and my husband and I walked around the building, we discovered that not only had Oliveira also sealed the wood on a small stockade fence at the side of the building (that was not part of the estimate), they had actually re-installed it in a far better and attractive fashion than it had originally been installed! I fully expected that this experience would be incredibly stressful and frustrating, as many large home projects involving contractors can be. However, this job went about as smoothly and stress-free as it could have. I felt totally confident in this company's abilities.

Our experience with Oliviera Painting was great. Ronilton, the owner, came out last summer to look at our house and provided a quote promptly. Due to other house projects that came up, we had to wait until this spring to start our project. My biggest complaint is that we had to wait about 6 weeks before they could start but it was worth the wait. (I had seen their work around town and knew they did a nice job. I didn't want to use anyone else.) Ronilton was on site every day (along with one other painter) and he was a complete pleasure to deal with. At the start of each day, he explained what work they planned to do and answered any questions that I had. Our windows were a wreck. I don't think they had been painted since the house was built in 1951. Ronilton and another worker removed all the glaze, primed the windows and painted them. It was a ton of work. They look great as do all the other areas on the outside and inside of our house that they worked on. Every bit of work they did was meticulous. He gave me recommendations on paint colors that were right on. At the end of each day, they cleaned up and put their supplies in one area. Ronilton is an extremely hard-working, honest person. There were a few instances when I asked him to do work outside the original agreement and he was completely accommodating. His work is excellent and I recommend him without reservation.

Their quote was excellent and we would have been happy to have used their services but no one ever contacted us to book it. We ended up deciding to paint it ourselves.

Job went very smoothly throughout. Prior to the job, Rafael was in email and telephone contact, skillfully managing my expectation of when the job would begin. Ronnie and crew turned up on schedule, and worked each day without breaks to head off to other jobs. Daily cleanup was immaculate. When we pointed out touch up requirements, these were done right away. For parts of the job, I was concerned about possible damage to Spanish tiles or the vine on the trellis. Ronnie did the roof job himself, and closely suprvised folding back the vine.

After reading the glowing reviews of this company, I was looking forward to working with them. However, I was stunned at their lack of professionalism and courtesy. After scheduling an appointment several days out from my phone call, Ronnie did not show up at the appointment nor did he call. When I called several hours later, his son told me there had been a mix up with another customer with the same first name. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for the following day. On that day, Ronnie did show up and I spent about an hour with him describing the work that needed doing, interior and exterior, to get our house ready to put on the market, emphasizing that the work was time-sensitive for this reason. He took copious notes and said that he would send an itemized estimate either that night or the next day. When the next day came and went, I called and his son said that he had been too tired to work up the estimate but that I would receive it the next day. The next day, he called after 8pm to say that his father would not be bidding on the work. No explanation given. I've now lost an entire week on this relatively urgent project thanks to their incompetence.

The job went very well. painters were careful, neat, professional, they were very good at cleaning up. Oliveira is an honest and conscientious reliable company.

He is very prompt, very courteous, and very thorough. He kept his word and came right on time. The work is not yet complete, but so far he has done a very good job. He is definitely doing a lot of work at a fair price. He is also preparing well for the work, which a lot of painters don't do. He is getting rid of a lot of holes in the wood and so forth. He is a fantastic painter, and I am very satisfied with him.

The price was very reasonable (we got a number of other quotes), especially with the Angie's List discount, and their written estimate was the most detailed. Ronilton (the owner) was a pleasure to work with; he also gave us good advice about the color scheme. Some of the exterior was in bad shape, and Ronilton's crew did an excellent job preparing the house for painting. They took pride in their work and the end result exceeded expectations. We would definitely use them again.

I definitely liked the guy who came out, Ronald the owner. I really liked him and his demeanor. He was helpful in terms of he felt like he knew what he was doing. He had done a lot of work in the area, so I liked that. We ultimately decided not to go with them because they came in at a much higher price.

They painted an apartment for us most recently. Price is competitive. We have been very happy with the end result. They clean up after themselves.

Have used them for multiple projects - exterior porch work, carpentry and staining involved to interior touch-ups. Also pressure washed house - love them will keep using at new property! Very professional, courteous and high quality work.

They did a very, very good job. They are coming back after we get all of our furniture to do a little bit extra and touch up after the movers. It was expensive, but we paid for a premium service. They did a great job.

I spent about $9000 on the job. They referred a carpenter to do the shingles and decks. That particular company did a bad job and didn?t complete the work. I had a lot of problems with that company. So, I went back to this company stating that it was they who had recommended the other company. After a while, they were helpful and recommended another person to help me with the job. I had to get them to redo my painting job. I haven?t received a response from Oliveira Painting yet. I have been leaving messages to them for the past few months. Their initial paint job was excellent. They were very punctual when they did the job. I will use them again in the future.

They were very responsive and professional. We haven?t used them yet. Our dealings with them so far have been very good. We also got estimates from others, but Oliveira Painting Inc. was the most responsive to what we wanted. They were very willing to do what we wanted them to.
