Architect Leslie Saul and her team, especially Monique Jankowski, did a wonderful job designing a renovation that added a upstairs master bath, walk-in closet, laundry, and additional bedroom in our smallish Newton house. They came up with an imaginative but practical solution that transformed our second floor in ways that will allow us to age comfortably in the house. They worked well with our contractor (critical for us) and were sensitive to our price constraints. Fees were very reasonable and clearly conveyed. Leslie and Monique were always responsive. The completed project is fantastic.

As a first time home buyer I am thrilled but terrified. Given it's a tough economy I am also not jazzed about making mistakes and needing to red0 any work. Leslie came to my apartment and picked out colors. In addition she gave me some ideas for "down the road" as well as some thoughts about inexpensive ways to add fun to a small apartment (e.g. change the pulls on the kitchen drawers to something other than white). I would definitely recommend her and use her again.

Leslie made a preliminary visit and a second architect revisited the property and actually drew the plans. Delivery of the plans took long than they had originally indicated, but they were professional, responsive and also made a couple of recommendations on contractors. I would definitely use them again.

I first met Leslie Saul through a professional organization, New England Women in Real Estate. I was looking for an architect to build out my office space in Boston and upon meeting her, I found her to be professional and creative, with many great references. So my first experience with Leslie and her team was building out my office, which was completed on time and within budget. Knowing that Leslie does an equal amount of residential work, I contacted her when I decided to put an addition on my home. She and her team talked to me at length about what I was trying to accomplish and brought in an engineering specialist to ensure that we could do what I envisioned. Leslie also recommended the contractor that I chose for the job. I am thrilled with the outcome. Because I was on a budget, Leslie drew up plans that gave me the space and layout that I needed without going "overboard." She worked closely with the contractor and helped me choose all the finishes, suggesting where the best places to spend would be, and where I could spend less without compromising what I wanted the final result to look like. Leslie has many contacts in the construction industry that allowed us to get great pricing on cabinets, granite, etc. I am very pleased with my addition and would choose Leslie again to work on my house. Since I changed jobs recently, I hired her to build out more space in my office, and she did exactly what we needed.
