I never got the seance that I felt Justin Construction was not interested in the project. After the initial non responsiveness, he did better but he wanted too much.

Very pleased with everything. Justin got back to me promptly, stayed in touch with our tenant and negotiated with her the best time to complete the work. The job was very well done and they cleaned up all the plaster dust. Would definitely hire again.

It was overall good.

Overall, our experience was pretty good. This came about just after the hard wood floor installation in two bedrooms and a hallway finished. It was clear after the first board went in that the plan to do the baseboards ourselves was not going to work. We scrambled to find a carpenter to do them quickly so we could move back in to our bedroom. Justin was recommended by our electrician. We left him a message and about a week later he called back and came out to look at the job. He had someone on site the following Monday to do the hallway and bedroom. We already had to find replacement closet doors from the floor project and decided to replace the bedroom doors as well. Justin's guy took the measurements for us and called them in to a local supply place where we went to pick them out, paid for them, and arranged delivery. A couple of weeks before the doors were due to be delivered, we gave Justin a call to schedule the baseboards in the remaining bedroom, three sets of closet doors, and two bedroom doors. We heard from him about a week later after leaving a few messages and finally letting him know that we would need to look for someone else to finish the work if we didn't hear from him. In all fairness, I believe he might have been out of town; however, there was nothing to indicate that on his voice mail message. His carpenter arrived the following week a bit later than expected and started the work. Things progressed for the next two days with a second person flitting in and out a few times on one of the days to help carry things. The work was of solid quality and the carpenter very pleasant. Justin never actually gave us a written bid for the work, but he did tell us to expect approximately $45 - $55 an hour plus materials. If we hadn't been in such a hurry, we probably would have insisted on a formal estimate, but this seemed very reasonable. All told, we had one carpenter at our place for 3 1/2 days and a second person in and out two or three times on one day. We figured worst case would be four, eight hour days at the high end of the hourly range and a couple hundred for the 1 x 4 stock. The final invoice was a bit more than that.
