 + 0 moreI called..No reply within three weeks. I called again. No reply within another three weeks. I met him on my street ( I live very close) where he explained that he was busy at this time of year. We made an appointment to review landscape, path and patio installation details. After three days, he did not turn up. It is rather difficult to support local contractors who are too busy to return calls and who do not turn up to appointments.
Description of Work: Request for an estimate of start date of work - hardscape and softscape, path and patio installation - and cost

Description of Work: Ed Hassey and his team have taken care of my lawn and yard for over 5 years. They're great. Reliable, coutous, good value for money. Couldn't recommend anyone more highly.

 + 0 moreOngoing. I will have Hassey Landscaping care for my lawn next year as well.
Description of Work: Ed and his crew have been caring for my lawn since the beginning of this season (spring 2010). They mow, put down fertilizer, lime, trim edges and weed the beds. I simply asked Ed to do what he think needed to be done on an ongoing basis. The charge for cutting my lawn is lower than the estimate I received from some. Ed is an honest, hardworking businessman and I would recommend him to any of my friends.

 + -1 moreWhat I most appreciate is that each time I suggest a treatment (for dandelions, for example) he is very honest about telling me when it is worth it and when it is not. He also always expresses concern about what is safe if our child will be playing on the lawn. We also got an estimate for installing a stone patio and pathway. I didn't follow up because I got pneumonia, but when we ran into him at a local eatery 2 months later (he lives and works in our town), Mr. Hassey was more concerned with my health than with the late contact. He told me to call when I was ready or he could put us at the top of the list for next spring, but that I shouldn't worry on his account. He's a genuinely nice guy running an honest business.
Description of Work: Mr. Hassey and his team cut and fertilize our lawn on weekly schedule, beginning in April 2010. The lawn always looks good (barring the heat of this summer). Our neighbor, who has been using him for many years, has the best lawn in the neighborhood. We think once we get through a full season using Hassey's maintenance and care, we can hope for the same.
