perfect, uneventful

We had a very good experience with Death Wish. They were an entertaining trio of guys who kidded around, but really knew their stuff. We were impressed by how well they worked together as a team. You could tell they did a lot of moves together, especially during delicate things like when they finally righted the piano to a horizontal position. They were also good with rolling with the unexpected, they had to tramp through a snowy yard when they moved our grand out of a walkout basement room, but they came prepared with a special toboggan and pushed it uphill into their truck without a complaint.

I was not able to be present on either side of the move, but they arranged the piano artfully under a chandelier in the room I'd designated, so my first view of it was beautifully lit and ready to play. They clearly took very good care of this antique and somewhat fragile instrument---not a scratch on it!

First time, called Deathwish, they gave a competitive quote and were available on short notice. The first job went fine. Second job there was some miscommunication regarding how much stuff there was to move (might have been my fault) but we worked things out with another truck and a reasonable increase in price.

They had very good service. It's very cute how they all wear all black uniforms. They had to take it out the front window with a crane. I really like that they have it tuned for you, every time they move it. They were very careful, and the piano was not damaged at all. I would recommend these piano movers very highly.

Three years ago Death Wish hauled grandma's antique grand from her house in Cambridge to ours in Wayland. Last month we hired them again to return the piano to grandma's. On both occasions, I couldn't have been happier. The office staff were responsive and helpful. Scheduling was flawless. The burly and brawny movers treated the piano like a newborn baby. They were very charming, despite the Harley-Davidson personas, and chatted with and amused my two children during the whole process. Grandma was also very happy with their service on the other end. We're getting our own piano soon and will use Death Wish to bring it home.

VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTACT. SHORT DURING CONVERSATION. JUST A MESS.

DEATHWISH ARRIVED ON-TIME, SMOOTHLY REMOVED THE PIANO FROM THE (FORMER) OWNER'S HOUSE IN < 8 MINUTES (THEY WERE STARTLINGLY EFFICIENT), WRAPPED IT, AND MOVED IT INTO AN AWKWARD ENTRANCE, GRACIOUSLY AND AGAIN, EFFICIENTLY. ALL TOLD, ABOUT 25 MINUTES OF ACTUAL 'PIANO MOVING' INVOLVED - THE STAFF WERE PLEASANT, FRIENDLY, AND UNDETERRED BY MY SOMEWHAT ICY DRIVEWAY.

I CALLED THEM ABOUT 5 WEEKS BEFORE I HAD TO BE OUT OF MY OLD HOUSE TO HAVE THEM MOVE SIMILAR STUFF TO MY NEW HOME. WE PLAYED TELEPHONE TAG FOR THREE WEEKS, WITH MY CALLING TWICE FOR EVERY MESSAGE THEY LEFT IN RETURN. THEY FINALLY SAID THEY WOULD CALL ON A FRIDAY MORNING AND COME BY TO SIZE UP THE JOB. THEY NEVER CALLED AND NEVER SHOWED, LEAVING ME WITH LESS THAN TWO WEEKS TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE.

NOTICED A GOUGE IN THE FLOOR UNDER THE PIANO AND I CALLED IMMEDIATELY TO HAVE THEM COME OUT TO TAKE A LOOK, THE SAID THEY WOULD COME NEXT WEEK AND NO ONE SHOWED UP, THEY FINALLY CALLED BACK A FEW WEEKS LATER AND SAID THAT THEY HAD TO GET 4 GUYS TO COME OUT TO LIFT THE PIANO TO CHECK IT OUT. IT HAS BEEN ABOUT A MONTH AND I HAVE HAD NO ONE COME OUT TO LOOK AT THE FLOOR, OR EVEN FIRM UP A DATE. I AM STILL WAITING
