Great service from Mike. Lost a set of keys and wanted to change our cylinders. He came right away, had all the parts, did the job quickly and efficiently (all the new keys he cut worked the first time), and charged a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend him.

Got everything I was hoping for. We called Carlmont on Monday evening, asking them to come Tuesday morning if possible. Michael gave us an arrival window for Tuesday morning and his cell phone number for reference on Monday, called about 15 minutes before arrival to confirm, and showed up right in the middle of the arrival window. He came prepared with two locks of the kind he'd estimated we'd need, installed the newer one promptly, and put in new holes and screws for the latch-plate to make it secure. Throughout he explained and showed what he was doing, told some useful background on the kind of lock we have, and gave me advice on how to manipulate the door (a pretty old set-up), lock and key to minimize damage in the future.

Same-day service, easy communication, super quick, very friendly. Not sure how the price compares to other locksmiths, but for the ease and speed of the entire transaction--plus bonus advice about keeping track of keys and overall security tips--it seemed more than fair.

Michael was very friendly and professional. Prior to doing any work, he asked to see my drivers license and a piece of mail with my name on it. He told me that he wanted to make sure I lived at the premises before he conducted any work. He performed the jobs swiftly. His price for the job was more than reasonable. I really needed to have the locks changed asap. Mike came right out ASAP, changed the 3 door locks in the shop and said he would send the bill. I just got the bill and for the quality, service and speed for helping me out - amazing! He did not over charge, did not add a rush fee or anything like that. Carlmont Lock is now on my speed dial if we need a locksmith with a quality service.

I was shoveling snow in the morning and hadn't realized the doorknob lock was locked (we don't usually use it, just the boltlock), and I was locked out. Luckily I had my phone in my pocket, and I called Carlmont, which is nearby. He returned my call within minutes, and very professionally opened the door for me. Very friendly, highly recommended.

The work performed was excellent. Mike was honest and professional. The door works perfectly and is now quiet when we close it.

Mike responded to my call quickly and came the same day. He was very pleasant to work with, efficient and fast and rekeyed the locks so they worked perfectly. The new key was numbered so that you could easily get a replacement if you lost your key. You can't ask for anything more from a tradesman.

Locksmith (the business owner) arrived exactly when he said he would. His estimate for how long the work would take and how much it would cost were spot-on. He walked me through all the steps and explained what he was doing. He consulted me on lock placement and took into account whether the neighbor's door (it's a 2-family house) had space to install a deadbolt in the same location if they needed one - so that the result would be aesthetically pleasing. Above and beyond what I would have expected! An all around great experience and we will use this provider for all future locksmith needs.

I had another locksmith come in and I was very concerned about his work. I did not feel safe in my own home. Mike the owner of Carlmont locks was very professional on the phone and came in and changed the locks. He did an appraisal to see where the vulnerability is for all of the weaknesses my home had and gave sensible and valuable advice on how to make my home safer. I would have paid him to replace two additional locks but he recommended that I don't do it. If you need a locksmith CALL CARLMONT LOCKS.

He happened to be within two blocks when i called, so I told him to come by. He asked me for details on the problem, sized up the situation, and went ahead fixing it, explaining each step and reasons for doing it. He was very pleasant, friendly, and chatty and gave me a discount for cash payment. I would definitely use him again.

Such an easy experience! Mike was flexible in scheduling to meet our needs, showed up on time, quickly assessed what needed to be done, and completed the work quickly. He then walked me through each lock, and gave me overall advice on safety issues related to our doors/locks. On top of all this Mike is personable and kind, and a pleasure to work with.

We discovered Friday morning that our front door lock no longer worked, and we were locked in/out on that side of the house. Called Carlmont Lock, which was also recommended on some local Lexington lists. Mike called back 20 minutes later, and happened to be finishing a job in a nearby town. He was concerned about the lock, and insisted on coming by if only to open the door. 15 minutes later, he arrived, diagnosed the problem, and had a part to fix it. I had asked about replacing the whole lock, and he laughed, and told me I was welcome to do so, if I wanted to spend a few hundred dollars more. He popped in the new bolt, showed me how the old one failed, tightened some hardware on the door and threshold, and we now have a lock that functions better than it did when we moved in a decade ago. Problem solved in 90 minutes, at the cost of an $80 service call, and a $20 part.

He was absolutely wonderful. Friendly, prompt, explained his work in detail, helped me get the new bolt on quickly, the price was very fair and reasonable. He came with a great referral from my real estate agent, and he even gave me safety tips on my home and key set, and gave me my key code for emergencies when I get locked out (eventually it will happen!). Super professional, pleasant, and the locks work great. A definite great choice to hire Carlmont.

This was a very good service call - from the callback within 15 minutes from my initial call, to his arrival immediately after a job across town. He called ahead to let me know he was on his way. Rekeyed the locks and cut six keys so quickly, I was both relieved and impressed. He also had some good observations and tips about general safety, things that, at 52 years old, I still didn't know. All around, both a prompt, successful service call and a relief to work with someone so helpful. I would definitely recommend Carlson Lock.
