Bruno's business (X-Tend Contracting) is a scam. After over a year of lies and delays, I was forced to sue Bruno, and won a judgment for $7,500 (maximum small claims award plus interest), even though he owes me more. He is still lying and delaying to avoid payment, so I will have to move onto the next legal step of enforcement to impound his business. On March 24, 2022, I signed a contract to redo our deck (remove existing boards but leave the structure intact and replace the boards). I paid a deposit of $6,750 (half the total cost), because Bruno explicitly stated that he needed the money to order the material "that day, right after leaving" my house. This was the first of his lies: there is no evidence that he ever purchased supplies. When Bruno's workers removed the old decking on May 5, 2022, Bruno called and made two more false representations: 1) the decking had arrived but he could not install it yet because the existing structure needed reinforcement; 2) he needed an additional $5,000 for reinforcing material, which I paid. Again, he never purchased ANY supplies. Since that time, NO work was done, while he continued to make fraudulent representations; on numerous occasions, he said very explicitly that both the decking and the reinforcing material had arrived but he could not schedule the installation because of a tight schedule (lies, lies, lies). This continued for months and months, and because he could not supply receipts proving that he had ordered the material, I contacted an attorney and sent a Demand Letter on October 17, 2022. The response was more delaying tactics and lies that continued into Spring of 2023. On August 7, 2023, the District Court of Woburn issued a judgment in my favor for $7,500. Bruno just continues to lie and delay instead of paying up.

Bruno and his team are skilled professionals. They did a gut replacement of my front porch in a timely manner with good communication. I am very happy with the product.

Working with XTend was a good experience. Bruno is very responsible and easy to communicate with. Although it was a small job (replacing the old lattice fence below my deck), Bruno and the crew came to the house the day before to make sure the job will be done to my specific requests. They end up doing a great, solid job with very reasonable price. I definitely recommend XTend.

Xtend Contracting management style (Bruno Bastos) is terrible, with no scheduling being provided and found it extremely difficult to communicate with Bruno. We signed a contract and the trim work that started on 7/29/2020 has not been finalized yet, with no expected completion date. In addition, we signed a change order on 4/7/2021 and paid the full amount as requested to finish the job that was pending, but we are still waiting. Since 4/7/2021 Xtend Contracting crew has only worked 1 day and now we are being asked for more money in order to finish the job. The only positive note is that we don t have any complaint on the work that has been completed up to date. The crew (Paolo and Glen) has done an excellent job meeting our expectations. If we knew when we signed the contract what we know now, we definitely would not have hired Xtend Contracting.

Paulo, the carpenter in charge, went well beyond what was required.

Bruno was helpful throughout the entire process. There were concerns because of the COVID-19, and that led to time delays that were unforeseen, but Bruno was responsive to my calls. When the project got started, the crew was very professional and competent - and answered all questions. Having done a lot of construction, renovations, prior to retiring, working during the pandemic presented challenges. But XTend was accommodating throughout.

I was very pleased with George he kept me informed of the progression of the project and also any extra work that needed to be done due to unforeseen damage during demolition. The cost of my project was very reasonable and the work performed was professional. There were some minor issues that I brought to Georges attention and he immediately addressed and corrected them without question . I also asked George if he could give me a price on fall cleanup which he did and after agreeing on a price he had his crew out the same day and completed the job to my satisfaction. I would definitely use them again.

The quality of workmanship was way above expectations. The cost was extremely reasonable. There were a few minor issues with communication related to status of start up but could be attributed to our current covid conditions. I would highly recommend Bruno and his talented team to anyone.

Bruno and his crew redid a walk in mudroom/entry way. The work they did was great! He was straight forward and honest from day 1. It is hard to find contractors that will show up, do the job they promised and provide great customer service at a decent price. Xtend and Bruno did all of these. Everything did not go smoothly on the job a few things popped up like they always do. He worked with me to make sure everything was done and done correctly. He even went above and beyond the work that I contracted them for. I would 100% recommend working with them!

Bruno and his team at Xtend were excellent. Bruno was careful to work within my budget. The deck is beautiful. The construction team was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. Each day the debris from the project was removed. They did great work - completely exceeded my expectations.

Excellent work, completely remodeled an older crooked wooden deck. Replaced old split wood with composite decking, railings and stairs. It was designed to compliment my house. Workers were knowledgeable, and did a lot of custom work. Cleaned up and disposed every piece of the old deck up to the last nail. I highly recommend Bruno and Xtend contracting.
