We ultimately did not move forward with the installation due to other redesign and moving-related expenses that took priority, but when we do proceed with the installation we will be calling Zen again.

With all the company's touting inexpensive window replacements I did make the initial call to Matt at Zen with some skepticism. They won me over and won my business by being very true to their word of making it simple and painless. Matt is polar opposite of the hard sell. He gave me all the information I needed and a quick no BS price with no fine print, exclusions, add-ons, etc. And no streaming of constant calls or emails. Once I did my research and was able to verify that these are top quality windows with a lot of successful installations and top shelf follow-on customer service, I committed. I was immediately given an install date (2.5 weeks). No contract or upfront deposit demands. Installers showed up at 8 am on the appointed day. Three very polite and competent young men. And stayed until after 9:30 that night just to make sure it was finished properly. The site was cleaned up immaculately. Not a single loose nail or scrap. Zen is truly 5 star. No worries with these guys.

I need A/C in a room with a Casement window. I was desperate. I contacted Matt. Matt told me that it is expensive to replace the window. Instead he asked me to send him photos and he then provided me suggestions on how to have a portable AC installed. Frankly I was surprised that he took time to email me videos and opinions on my needs to install an A/C. Matt is great. I have to say it is purely professionalism.

The install went extremely well. The windows installed were replacement windows. To begin with, they did not undersize the replacement windows more than necessary. The windows being replaced were from the early 70's and complex with their spring systems, grooves, and steal framing around the window casing. When the installer ran into something unexpected, he could have taken a short cut. Instead, he spent the extra time to do the job correctly and with finesse. The windows look great and could not have been done better. Matt the owner of Zen windows was also very responsive and attentive all the way through the process from the initial quote, setting up time for window measurements, and the install. During the install, he came out at the beginning and the end of the install to check the work.

Zen did a great job for me. Communication was timely, and the door was installed beautifully. I'm very happy with the final product.

I must say I was a bit skeptical when I saw the “window quotes in 5 minutes or less” I called the owner, Matt, and went through the process and explained what I wanted wasn’t a typical replacement window as I was switching a 3 panel French door out to a 9’ Window. I sent him pictures and measurements and he was able to e-mail me pictures of some different windows that he thought would look nice. Once I figured out what window I wanted Matt provided a quote which was extremely reasonable for what I wanted. Once I signed the contact the installation team called to schedule the appointment and confirmed a few days before. The installation went great. The installers showed up when they said they would, were extremely professional, did unbelievable work, as they had to build a wall because I closed in the door, and left the work area cleaner than when they started. I was very surprised at the ease of the process as I have had replacement windows done in the past and it usually led to a salesman in the house trying to force a sale on me and my wife. This wasn’t like this at all. Matt and Zen Windows Boston did a tremendous job from the start and right through the installation and I highly recommend Zen Windows

This is a very different home improvement company in a good way. No pressure or sales games. They sent us a PDF brochure and got our specific info on our windows and gave us a quote. EASY!!!! I told them we have 2 more quotes and he said "no rush thats a good idea". A lot different from the 1st company we had out who bashed every competitor our there and gave us the hard sell. We are still getting 2 more quotes but i really like the way this company conducts itself.

Matt, the owner of Zen Windows, is the kind of guy we - and everyone we know who's dealt with him - genuinely like dealing with. He knows windows inside & out (ha!) and genuinely understands homeowners' concerns. We found that Matt treats customers like well-regarded neighbors first, and customers second. We talked with Matt in the past when considering replacements (back before his Zen days); he steered us right then and we'll go back to him again when we're ready to do the rest of our replacing. Only next time, we'll happily go through Zen and their don't-pay-us-till-the-work's-complete approach. ;)
