Total comfort installed our air conditioning last summer. When our boiler stopped heating, they called back on a Sunday within 30 minutes and were wiling to come that day to evaluate it. We arranged the appt for Monday. James came within the 2 hour time frame, had the necessary parts, and we were warm within the hour. Great service , quality work and very professional , responsive service people. We highly recommend Total Comfort.

Joel was very thorough and provided detailed explanations that were easy to understand. The office staff are very friendly and accommodating in scheduling. I will definitely use Total Comfort again.

The work crew was knowledgeable, clean and efficient. They answered all of my questions and consulted me whenever they had options for running ductwork and locating vents.

I called to see if they can fix my furnace which stopped working last night. Unfortunately, they cannot squeeze me in or anyone for any emergency because they have customers that have been booked for weeks/months in advance. They also said that two of their workers are on vacation so they are short staffed. They did provide another HVAC company that is also ranked highly, according to them. I appreciate that recommendation and for that, it shows their professionalism. No wonder they are ranked highly.

Total Comfort Mechanical was professional, responsive, punctual, and courteous throughout. Wendell arrived as scheduled to do an estimate, and he was very friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. He also paid attention to cleanliness-- before entering the house, he put booties over his shoes to avoid tracking dirt into the house. We had a few questions after he left, and he promptly answered our emails. We ultimately selected a different HVAC contractor who was available sooner, but TCM appeared to be an excellent choice, and we can understand why they had so many jobs booked. Even when we notified Wendell that we had chosen to proceed with a different company, he took the time to email us a polite reply understanding our choice. If this is the kind of professionalism you get when you DON'T hire TCM, I can only imagine what you'll get when you do!

The work of split ductless AC is well done. Every one I met and contacted was very nice and professional. Jane is always very patient in answering my questions. Before the installation, Wendell evaluated my house very carefully and proposed the plan which matches my needs well. He discussed with me the AC locations and outside heat pump locations and found the best solution for me. The installation went on smoothly with relatively less disruption of my home. They also helped me with the rebate which I have no clue how to get. Now I enjoy the AC on the hot days and have also received my rebate. I appreciate their high quality of work.

My boiler died in the middle of a particularly cold winter. Wendell and his team were prompt and extremely helpful. Wendell walked me through the process necessary to get loan through MassSave and were on the spot the moment it was ready. They completed the work cleanly and in 2 days. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of their service.

The technician arrived promptly and on time. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the compressor as a failed capacitor, and replaced it. He also performed some general cleaning and offered advice on how to maintain the system.

this was one of fantastic experiences you think only happens to other people. We called Total comfort from an Angies list referral because we heard weird noises coming from the unit. They came the next day, diagnosed the situation, stabilized the unit and returned with parts 2 days later. Seriously a fantastic experience!

Replaced a new PLC and it is working fine.

This is truly a gem of a company. Wendell, the owner/manager, is knowledgeable, a creative problem solver, and hard-working. He scoped out the job in our initial meeting. We honed the project over a few weeks. I thought his listening and collaboration skills were excellent. We settled on a 42K BTU outdoor condenser with a branch box in the attic, a 15K BTU indoor unit in the living room, a 12K BTU unit in the dining room, a 12K BTU unit in the upstairs hall, and a 12K BTU unit in the master bedroom. A month later, his team showed up and installed the heat-pumps. A neat thing they did was connect the heat pump in the upstairs hall to an attic pump that takes the condensation through a flexible tube to back of the house. You have to see how near perfect each of the connections to the branch box is. All of the team members were fastidious in their work. Work started on a Friday night (so it would cure over the weekend); the cement slab for the condenser was laid out. The next Monday 3-4 people worked, 2 worked on Tuesday, and 1 worked on Wednesday. The final work (electrical) will be done this Friday. We received a grant loan from our town which is brings our cost down.

This was one of the best experiences we have had with home improvement. Wendell's estimate was not the least expensive, but it was detailed and offered higher quality components than our other 2 quotes. We were impressed with his credentials from nationally recognized groups. He is very intelligent and knowledgable and a pleasure to work with. He and his crew did a meticulous job under somewhat difficult conditions since our house is over 100 yrs old, and it was necessary to make adjustments to fit one of the units on the wall. Before leaving, the men removed all debris and vacuumed our house. Wendell made a final trip to walk us through using our new mini split units. We cannot recommend Total Comfort highly enough.

Provided thorough estimates and responded to all our questions. Performed the work quickly. Workers were professional and tidy. When issues arose with the new thermostat, they responded and resolved them quickly and to our satisfaction. So far, so good.

Estimate was very thorough and detailed. Very professional walk through for the estimate with excellent advice as to best choice for system. Very detailed estimate. Workmen were very polite and careful to lay down floor protection when walking on rugged areas. They worked until 10 pm several nights to get the job done on time. Great cleanup. They returned to replace a ceiling grille that had bent tines without a problem. We recommend Wendell and his company.

Know what they are doing, they do great work, and they stand behind their work.

I had a Mitsubishi split system AC put in. 4 units and they did a great job. The workers who came there were polite and kept the place clean and cleaned up after they left. I had three quotes and they were priced very competitive. I would recommend them for any HVAC work and would hire them again for sure.

It went very well. Wendell and his team were responsive and Wendell is very knowledgeable, patient, and excellent at what he does. He gave us some good options and our system has worked better since. People from his team have returned for other service and were good too.
