Excellent. Wendell and his staff and crew were very responsive, meticulous, and knowledgeable. I don’t know much about HVAC but other contractors who saw their finished work at my house were impressed!! The office staff was also helpful with the MassSave process. I would recommend them highly.

Total Comfort Mechanical replaced my 12 year old water heater. The technician did an excellent job, he was very professional, efficient and knowledgeable. His work was done very neatly.

Wendell Depaiva (owner) spent the time to understand what we wanted and how we used our home so he made more than one proposal. We had time to consider our options. He did not give us the cheapest bid, but he gave us the most informed by far, the most creative and he came thru on all his promises. The office helped us walk thru the steps needed to use the Mass Save Program loans for interest free financing and rebates. Anna Metrik, branch manager was accessible, patient and communicated clearly. The technicians at the installation were very considerate, polite and left no messes behind. We have not only drastically reduced our use of oil, but we now have heat zones in the house allowing bedrooms and an office to be warmer or cooler than the rest of the house. The electrical upgrade we did for the minisplit heating system can someday allow us to recharge an electric car if we buy one. The heating system works beautifully. We did not know at the time we would be working from home during a pandemic and we are glad we worked with Total Comfort Mechanical. I listed the cost of heating the house below, but we also converted our hot water to an electrical heat pump.

Amazing. We dealt with some horrid companies before finding Total Comfort Mechanical (not joking; I feel like we always have bad luck finding good companies). Rest assured that isn't the case with total comfort mechanical. They are very prompt, professional, and genuine. They actually care about you as a person. They aren't out to scam you like other companies might. The owner and everyone we've met from the company have all been amazing. Their work is high quality and their prices are fair. I can't recommend Total Comfort Mechanical enough-- Since we found them a few years ago we've used them numerous times and we'll continue using them.

Fantastic! I was extremely curious to learn what had gone wrong and how to fix it. I had some theories :). Service Technician was extremely patient and totally willing to educate me. He confirmed my theory, further troubleshoot to specific component, all while keeping my informed. Fixed it, all's well again and I'm much more informed. Couldn't have been more satisfying and educational. I will call them again in heartbeat if / when the next issue arises or we decide to upgrade. From quote to execution, Total Mechanical delivered on every promise. They showed up when they said they would, and answered all my questions thoroughly. Throughout the job, the workers kept their masks on, and were extremely good about leaving the job site each day cleaner than it was when they arrived! I would absolutely recommend using them, and won't hesitate to use them again should the need arise.

What encouraged us to choose them was their professionalism and quick response to inquiries and willingness to go the extra mile to help us apply for a zero interest energy loan. A year later, we had a minor problem with water condensation (our fault) but they came very quickly to fix it at no charge. I've had the company install a ductless mini split system and service it a year out. The service was excellent. The owner was involved with the initial estimate and explanation of how things would work and the gentleman who performed the follow up service 1 year removed was very professional and knowledgeable. Overall, they have been punctual, very communicative, provide excellent work and are very accommodating to schedules. Excellent experience.

Wendell from Total Comfort Mechanical has the technical expertise and customer communication skills that ensure an easy choice of systems followed through by flawless installation. He is backed by a responsive front office and seasoned technicians. My water heater failed. There was a deluge in my basement. Called in on a Sunday night. Their immediate call back guided me through my system shutoff. The next day they showed up to drain the system and prep for installation. Full installation was achieved by the following day. They obviously are very responsive. Best to call in directly for emergencies and not rely on the website.

All work has exceeded expectations. All projects have been on time and on budget/competitively priced. All the technicians are competent, courteous and tidy. The office staff is very responsive and courteous as well.

We have used total comfort's services in the past and will use them again since they have great employees, great phone support, and perform honest work. We had to repair our rental units heater so having had a great experience with a new heater install from total comfort in our house, we decided to call them again for this repair in the rental. Their technician arrived a bit late, but their office called to let me know which worked out fine..and I still got to leave work early which is always a win... The heater required a new circuit board that had to be special ordered since the heater is from the 90's and should be put down. The tech said he could get a few more years out of this old heater and offered electric heaters for the weekend while they waited for the part, which our tenants said they didn't need, but it was nice they were offered just the same. Two days later, the same repair guy came back to finish the repair with the new part. 20 min later it was fixed and they had heat again. It is great to have found such a reliable and trustworthy business to work with for these necessary repairs. Call these guys if you want to feel confident in where your hard earned money is going and like honest work done by good people.

Technician showed up on time and informed me of the work he would be performing. He identified two problems that had to be repair but asked first and priced repair. He completed in a reasonable time and was extremely neat.

Wendell and his team did a fantastic job installing a two zone mini split AC and heating system in two rooms which are hot/cold spots in our home. I am extremely pleased with the work done and the process. A trick with mini-split systems (I realize now) is how to install the interior units and run the lines in a way that is aesthetically pleasing - especially when multizone. This is where Total Comfort did far better than proposals from other contractors. The final result is a very clean look inside and outside. The actual Mitsubishi units themselves are also awesome - they are very quiet which was one of the main reasons for me to switch from window unit type AC. And they will also help in the winter (to be tested, it is still Summer :) ). Finally, the price from Total Comfort was reasonable. I do not hesitate to recommend Total Comfort - it is one of the few times I felt so pleased with a contractor and the final result.

Reminders provided by phone and email helped us to ensure we scheduled our desired system maintenance. On time arrival and provided both AC and Heating through system maintenance. Technician checked prior service and found a part advisory to check. Replaced part that was now out of required specs. Neat, clean, polite and very professional approach to doing this work. We are very pleased with the service provided by the whole team of Total Comfort Mechanical.

Excellent-professional, clean and thorough. It took a while to identify the reason why our AC was not working during the brutally hot Independence Day week in 2018, but they worked at it until they identified that the breaker needed to be replaced. Temperatures inside were 98 degrees that week. We feel lucky to have found them.

Quick response. Doesn't service area where I live, but professional and helpful suggesting other service providers.
