Furnace company from heaven!!!! Called Wendall New Year's Eve after another furnace company let me know last minute that they could not fix the unit until the 11th. Immediately the very morning of the first day when parts were available Wendell's representative, Eric, showed up. Watched as he swiftly and professionally replaced the heat exchanger and water pump by himself. There was no price gouging. Charges were fair and clearly stated up front. I was impressed at the level of service and technical proficiency. Wendall came through on all promises! After having been burnt by two companies for various reasons, could not believe how good Wendall's company was. Will never go to another furnace company. Will not need Angie's list for this service in the future.

My furnace wasn't working properly....they came out within hours. Explained everything. Super nice from setting up an appointment to Paul, the repair man. Doesn't get any better than this!!!!!! These are my new heating/cooling guys!

He showed up on time. Did a very clean job on washing the debris, testing the coolant. I paid him additional 165 dollars on flushing the dirt and cleaning the plumbing. Overall he fixed everything... Tuned the A/c made sure the A/c is working properly. Pointed out issues with the venting etc.. I would highly recommend him.

The tech arrived and noticed system wasn't working properly so it could be difficult for him to properly inspect and informed us that we should have made a service call. He claimed there was a coolant leak but some digging was needed to find the source. He told us we might need to replace condenser for several hundred dollars and that he would provide an estimate for the condenser and also to replace the entire A/C unit. Two days following the appointment (6/25/2015) I contacted the office via email to inquire about the estimate and was received a reply that someone would get back to us. We haven't heard back from them and it has been almost 1 month (today is July 21st). So we paid $120 for a tech to come over and tell us we need a new condenser and never went into our attic to check the rest of the system. UPDATE: After a couple conversations with Wendell we agreed that there had been a lapse in communication and he wanted to issue a refund. Instead of a refund, we agreed to have a tech come back out to the house and take another look at our A/C AND our heating system. Thank you Wendell for the effort you made to get things back on track. I'm keeping my eyes open for the new heat system quote.

I was able to get an appointment within a few days. The technician showed up when promised, and everything went very smoothly, including confirming that one of the systems wasn't performing as well as it should.

I hired Total Comfort Mechanical's 20-point A/C tuneup based on three factors: solid Angie's List "A" rating; the reasonable price; and the explicit 20-point list of items to be covered. Other companies do not specify what they will do in any such detail. Maybe they do the same job but I am entitled to my doubts. The technician worked quickly, dealt both with the attic air handler (accessible only by a ceiling hatch in the upstairs hallway) and the outside compressor. He had the benefit at least of one very efficient device -- a remote infrared thermometer equipped with a pinpoint laser pointer. (He measured the output air temperature on each of the ceiling A/C outlets then compared that temperature by a quick point at an adjacent wall to measure room (hence input air temp to the air handler) to get the important temperature difference. It was ten degrees. Pressure measurements at the compressor revealed that the unit was one pound low in its R22 refrigerant charge. He added the needed refrigerant, which raised the price by $84. When properly charged the temp difference increased to 18 degrees, very close to the limit of our unit's possible performance. It is unclear whether the leak that vented the R22 is very slow, slow, medium, or fast. We shall see. Meanwhile I have asked them to make recommendations for a possible replacement of our unit. Perhaps it's time. In any case we expect the upcoming summer season to be comfortable with the unit we have. Note: Adding the refrigerant was the most time-consuming part of the service. My only possible complaint is that it is hard for me to see how each and every one of those "20 points" was done in the time the service call took. I know that experienced techs can tell very quickly how a system is running based on long experience. The same is true of really good medical doctors. They know even before all the tests come back!. So put this down at least for now as a minor issue.

They did excellent work! He came today and I’ve never seen such a thorough job. I was totally satisfied. He did not push for any sales or upgrades. He listened to my needs and concerns. He cleaned the unit and took his time with the work. He was professional and very knowledgeable about his job and explained things in a way that was easy for me to understand.

Wendell is very prompt and knowledgeable and we have used his services a couple of times in the past. He seemed to truly understand what out needs were and recommend the best possible solution without breaking our budget. Did not use them since I received a lower estimate (winter clearance deal) for the same work. I would certainly call them again and recommend them for future work.

I had an appointment with Wendell on Wednesday. Wendell never showed up or called to reschedule. After two hours I called him, and he gave poor excuses about being so busy, not having his appointment book, etc. He said he would call the next day to reschedule, and he never did. Extremely unprofessional.

Wendell is very knowledgable, friendly, professional, and trustworthy. I hired TMC because of the amazing work they did at a friends house. The work done at my house was just as amazing. As a result another friend hired them. I highly recommend them.

They did work for me last year. I was satisfied. They came in and took care of that. They were professional and the price was right. I had them give me an estimate for some other work too, but I thought that was a little high.

We were happy with their quote and their responsiveness, but we decided not to have the work done.

That service turned out very well. They came when they said they would and did the work they said they would do.

They cleaned up and they were quiet. Just one technician came out and I had no complainants. I would give him a 100%.

On the weekend we contacted them so they could come on on Monday. They even offered to come in on the weekend. We have been extremely happy with all of our dealings with this company. We have worked with other HVAC groups, but have been disappointed with their service. Total comfort mechanical is small, and has a very personal approach to service. All their techs are very professional, as is the company owner, Wendell DePaiva.

One technician came out. He was a nice guy and did a nice job.

That service turned out perfect. He was honest and the price was fair. He did a quick job and he explained everything well too. I couldn’t have been happier. I wished I could give him an A+.

Wendell was great from start to finish. He informed me of a current rebate and even filled out the paperwork. His team was professional and cleaned up after the work. Wendell is also an honest businessman which is hard to come by; he sold me only what was necessary to get the job done.

Very professional and nice guys did a very smooth installation finished in two days with electric job done in following week! We are very satisfied with all work they have done. All units have been running smooth and quiet so far. However, to our surprise, in less than a week, we saw bad rust grown on surfaces of covers where screws were in all three air condensers for those three single zone 18,000 BTUs hyper heat pumps. Thank to Wendell, he is going to contact Mitsubishi to get them replaced in next week or so.

Wendall is in a league of his own among contractors that I have dealt with over the years. He was very professional, very responsive, explained everything. Gave me two options to update my 40 year old heating system and also explained the mass save options step by step. The job site was very clean and the work done was very professional. Taking out my 40 year old system wasn't an easy task and he honored his first quote even though the job took longer because the old system was too big to take out and need to cut into parts. He worked around my vacation schedule and other schedule. He was very considerate knowing I had an infant in the house. A pleasure to work with, and I know where I am going with my HVAC needs.

Very happy with work, thorough and professional. Very responsive and came back out to fix an issue with Nest thermostat on very short notice (within a few hours of placing call).
