After the crazy winter, I wanted to installed a backup sump pump over my existing sump pump. I didn't want to go with a battery-based backup and Pete confirmed my choice. I got in touch with Pete based on his positive feedback on Angies list. He responded promptly at night, even asking me to take a picture of the existing sump pit to make sure that there is enough room to put a second one it. On the day of the service, Pete arrived promptly, installed the backup sump pump along side the existing sump pump and showed me how to switch between the pumps. Pete is very professional and pleasant to work with and will recommend his service to my neighbors and friends.

Just an excellent all around experience. Callbacks were prompt. The appointment was kept on time. He had all the tools he needed with him and organized. The job was done with absolute minimum fuss and no mess. Everything worked afterward. The tub drains better than it has for years. The price was reasonable with no surprises. He did recommend having another drain specialist do the whole drain out to the cleanout because the 60 year old pipes need a full clearing, but the improvement was great.

He was not able to come until monday at 12:30P. He was exellent and very honest with his response however this was an emergency

It only took him 10 minutes to get the drain clear and flowing. He did a great job, showed up even a little earlier than expected but called ahead and let us know he could do that. He was very professional.

After purchasing the Angie's list deal of two hours plumbing labor for $150, I was contacted within 24 hours by Pete O'Brien of O'Brien PlumbingWorks. We spoke by phone and he came by the same day to take a quick look at a hot water issue with the shower in my house. I asked about a solution that friends have told me about which involved adding a superstore hot water heating system, but he said it was overkill and my problem could be solved for less money by adding an Aqua Booster storage tank. I was skeptical, but his idea was close to $1000 less than my plan, so I went for it and I'm happy I did. The Aqua Booster has been fantastic!!! Problem solved. Glad this company was honest with me and helped me save money rather than advise the higher priced option. Pete was very polite, professional and responsive. I was pleasantly surprised with the good customer service and would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of Plumbing work. I plan on using O'Brien again for some smaller projects in the near future. FYI, the $150 Angie's list deal was applied to the overall price.

Peter's initial estimate was the most affordable of the five plumbers I reached out to for estimates. Not only was he professional straightforward and congenial but when he finished the job it turned out it was cheaper than he anticipated. I would trust him with all my future plumbing work and even got him to give me estimates on two other jobs I had been thinking about. His work looks great and left my plumbing in a much better state than I had asked for.

Service Provider asked if it was safe to come to my neighborhood. Left a bad taste in my mouth, decided to go with someone else.

New sump pump installed, rerouted pipe for more efficient use. Replaced old kitchen faucet and checked and tightened screw on garbage disposal which may have resulted in garbage disposal leaking. Pete was professional and courteous. He arrived on time and was extremely helpful. Great to have found a new plumber carging reasonable rates. I highly recommend O'Brien Plumbingworks. I will use Pete for all future plumbing needs.

Peter O'Brien was punctual, conscientious, and he even came on a weekend when I really didn't want to wait a few more days to be able to do laundry. He was very helpful in dealing with my insurance company to get them to pay their share. Overall, he was great to deal with--personal and professional--as well as competent. I'd highly recommend him. He's committed to getting the job done well and in a timely manner.

I can't say enough about how wonderful it was to work with Peter. Isn't that such a weird thing to say about a plumber? But I swear - he could not have been more earnestly helpful, responsive, and on top of that he REALLY knows his stuff. He gave us a quote that was significantly less than the others we received, and he clearly explained exactly what he was going to do, why he was going to do it, and what our other options were. Usually I come out of interactions with plumbers feeling kind of leery, like maybe I got taken advantage of. With Peter I am wholly confident that my heating system is in the best shape it could be, and that if anything does go awry, that Peter will stand by his work. From now on, Peter is my plumber. Hands down, no question. I recommend him with full confidence.

Pete is the best plumber I've ever come across-- professional, knowledgable, efficient & prompt. He is very communicative-- we exchanged several emails (with pics) beforehand so he knew what to bring. His prices were reasonable, and an unexpected bonus- a great sense of humor & twinkle in his eye. He was a pleasure! He's returning to do another job this week. I highly recommend him!

PETE O'BRIEN IS THE ONE TO CALL!! The ejector pump in our downstairs bathroom died. We had another company (from Angies List) come out and they gave an estimate (which cost us $100) of $1,800 to fix it. They offered to do the work then and there. We decided to hold out and get a second opinion. We found Pete O'Brien on Angies List as well. He came out and fixed our ejector pump and a minor issue with our upstairs toilet for a total of $800. He also spent time looking at other pipe issues, the water heater and answering a bunch of plumbing questions that we had. He was very professional and honest. I am so very happy we finally found a plumber that we trust. We will not be calling anyone else the next time we have an issue.

Peter is very friendly and patient for all our questions, he is very professional and knowledgeable. Although we did not use the service because the delivery issue from our supplier, we will definitely use him for future needs.

He fixed on outdoor faucet and installed an outdoor faucet in the front of our building (there wasn't one). He also took a look at my garbage disposal that a previous plumber said needed replacing and got it running again - he charged me nothing for looking at the disposal. Really nice of him.

Contractor was out of service territory and provided an email notifying me of this fact. This was timely and very professional.

I looked up a plumber in my area and came across O'Brien Plumbingworks. Peter the owner was extremely friendly and offered to work late so he could come over and look at the issue we were having with our water heater. It turned out we needed a new one after he diagnosed the problem. He did not charge me for the visit but let me know what he would be charging and told me to call a couple of other companies so I had some prices to compare. He was the cheapest by far. I called him back and told him we would like to schedule to have it replaced. He told me he was extremlty busy but would hate to see a family not have hot water, he came over the next day and installed it. I could not be happier with his service. It's hard to find someone who is such a hard worker and also cares about the well being of his customer. We need more companies like this around! I would highly recommend this company.

We have a Jacuzzi tub whose drain control often didn't work quite right and the diverter to redirect water from the spout to handheld sprayer stopped working. Within hours of the initial contact Peter reached out and was looking for information on what was wrong. He had me take pictures of the faucet so he knew exactly what model he was dealing with. He then called the manufacturer so he would better understand what he was walking in to. We then scheduled an appointment where he was more flexible for days/time than I had any right to expect. The diverter could have easily required a replacement, but that would have required breaking tile and doing a fair bit of carpentry to repair. Instead, when the "simple" repair attempts didn't work, Peter got creative and proved himself a true craftsman to manufacture a repair. Throughout the process he was courteous and professional. As with all my best experiences I found Peter via Angie's List and recommend him highly and without reservation.

Went above and beyond to ensure that the job was well done. We had a plastic stop valve attached by glue. Since these systems are not as reliable as brass, he replaced it with a brass one and it works great.

Pete was quick to return my phone call. He completed the job in the allotted time frame. Pete has done multiple jobs for me in the past including installing a water heater. He has always done great work and I have referred him to to friends and family.
