GLASS BLOCK UNLIMITED

Great. We liked Joe. He is an owner/operator who believes in doing a quality job. He was great about follow-up and installation. Finished off the inside top frame with wood. We will use him again for windows and possibly bathroom re-modeling.

When I called glass block I was a little surprise to get a cell phone, he was driving and actually had to pull over to the side of the road to take down my information, guess I thought that I was calling a brick and mortar building, but he was very nice and sounded very professional. I made an appointment for Friday between 9:00 and 9:30 AM. He told me he would go to the house to view my windows, and that I didn't need to be home, so I don't know if he came to the house or not. The cost for the windows were $50 per window and $20 per air vent and $20 for dryer vent. I work nights, and normally don't get to bed until 5 AM, but I was up and at the house before 9 AM which wasn't easy and Mr. Winokur was a no show. around 10 AM I called and left a message waited another 30 minutes and called again, got no answer about 5 minutes later he calls back, when I told him I was at the house waiting on him, he said that my appointment was for next Friday. I knew better then that and let him know that the appointment was that day, in anger I just hung up the phone, a few minutes later Mr. Winokur called back and apologized. He admitted that he was going through some things and just forgot about the appointment. I give him credit for calling to apologized and admitting he was wrong, but still he could have made some kind of attempt to make things right, set up another appointment and offer me 10% off or a free dryer vent or something, but he didn't even try, just apologized and that was it. Just felt that this was just a waste of my time, I could have still been home in bed.

Joe Winokur is the owner of Glass Block United, and does his own work. We had a basement window not accessible from the outside that was damaged and had to be replaced in a hurry. Joe replaced it with glass block from the inside. He was prompt, neat, and pleasant. We plan to ask him to come back to do one of the other windows that needs replacement before it falls out, too.

They gave me a decent estimate. They came in the day they were supposed to and did the work. They were pleasant. They were very nice about future work.
