+ -1 moreGreat. Jack got back to me pretty quickly, and gave a verbal estimate and recommendation. His price was lower than other estimates. He revised our estimate when we decided to remove instead of trim our Norway Maple.
Description of Work: Three trees removed, and trimming on a tree prior to house-painting.

Here is what you get: 1) they answer the phone or return the call the same day. 2) they show up when they say and quote a reasonable estimate of the work. His price is always a bit under everyone else. 3) they show up on the designated day, do the work quickly, always add in a little extra for no more money, and clean up nicely. What more do you need to know really? No hesitation recommending the service to anyone. If you read some of my other reviews here or on Yelp you will know this is not faint praise at all. Best service in this area that I have found so far.
Description of Work: Consult with, and then take down two large Yew trees and grind down the stumps to a level 10" into the ground.

+ -1 moreWe took a chance on Jack, in that my fiance saw his truck in the neighborhood and, knowing we wanted to get rid of a tree, called the number on the truck. Jack was very responsive, made an appointment and kept it. He removed a heavily overgrown Burning Bush (invasive trash tree), cutting the stump to below grade and removing many knotted and entangled roots. We elected not to remove the stump in its entirety, since that would compromise a retaining wall. Jack was efficient, very tidy, and the price was excellent value for the work performed. We'd use him again and will recommend him to friends and neighbors!

+ -1 moreByrne's estimate was comparable to the other one I got, but they were available sooner. They came the next morning, as promised, and did all the work except the stump grinding, which will happen later. They were well-equipped and seemed safety conscious. They were done in about 2 hours. At one point I heard banging and looked out the window. Two of them were hammering in the metal fence stakes and re-attaching the mesh fencing that had been knocked down by the falling tree! Definitely service above and beyond! (I will still need to replace much of this fence, but at least the dog can go out on her own.)
Description of Work: Cut up and removed a fallen evergreen tree and the smaller tree it fell on. Cut up and removed a large section of fallen willow trunk. Will grind the stump of the evergreen.

+ -1 moreIt took a couple of days after the tree was removed for them to return to grind the stump, but everything was very efficient and we were completely satisfied with the job and price. Jack was really great to work with.

+ -1 moreAs always, our overall experience with Jack Byrne Tree Service has been professional, the quality of his work is impeccable, very responsive and does the work he says he will do. After all the tree work has been done, Jack Byrne Tree Service cleaned up everything with no trace of tree limbs/branches left behind. Our property now looks presentable with plans to put new shrubs/flower beds all around the sides of the home. In the spring, we are planning to have Byrne Tree Service come back to do additional tree/shrub work. As for the price of the work done, Byrne Tree Service really did MAJOR tree work on our property and we are extremely happy with the quality of the service. We highly recommend Jack Byrne Tree Service. THANK YOU Jack and your crew!!!!
Description of Work: Since we have done previous business with Jack Byrne in the past at our condo complex, we have been very happy with his tree work services. We recently bought a home on a corner lot and the previous owner basically left the trees and shrubs grow wild. For safety reason as well as to have the property look more presentable, we needed major tree work done on our new property. Jack Byrne came to our home and did an assessment of the trees and shrubs and we concurred that there were too many trees and shrubs growing on a small property!! One BIG tree, in particular, was next to our driveway and with a parked car, you could not open the car door or it would just hit the tree trunk and the shrubs were over grown against all sides of the home. Jack came in time before the bad winter hit and did major tree work on our property - the BIG tree next to the driveway was completely cut down and roots were grinded down, all the over-grown shrubs around the sides of the house were completely dug up and some of the larger tree branches/limbs were cutback away from the house.

+ -1 moreJack was the first to answer our call. Gave an estimate that he kept to. He made two trips and did a great job.
Description of Work: We have very old and very large trees. Jack gave us an estimate and ideas of what we should do to trim back the trees. He trimmed the large trees, about 5 trees along the driveway, in one trip then came back to prune the apple and trim some limbs off a neighbor's tree over our yard. He will come back late in the fall to trim several very large trees in the back of the house. These trees are over 100 years old and have been maintained the last 15 years.

+ -1 moreHe was very punctual. He did a good job and the price was very good as well. He cleaned up everything well. One stump that he removed was a big job and he did it with no problems. He was responsive and I was pleased with the service.
Description of Work: He cut back three very large trees. One was in the front and two were in the back with branches that were hanging over the house. They also ripped out a stump.
