They did the job, and just left without letting us know how the everything went. I thought the bill was a little high after I received it, and I called them eight times with no response. When I did get a hold of him, he was rude to me. I won't do business with them anymore

Finally on April 2nd we received a check in the mail. He waited as long as he possibly could before the next scheduled payment hearing on April 5th. The original install was April 30th of 2012 and finally nearly a year later, we have the funds to hire a new contractor to redo the entire project. Consumer beware if you decide to hire this contractor. ****UPDATE - 3/1/13****The business owner did show up for the scheduled payment court hearing but failed to comply with the requirement to bring his financial information. the magistrate was upset he failed to bring this and really laid into him about it., When asked by the court magistrate why he had not made the payment his answer was "I just haven't." The magistrate was clearly annoyed by his complete lack of understanding of a payment review. She asked why he had made no attempts to contact us about the payment, he said "my lawyer advised me not to contact them because of stuff going on the internet." We can only assume he is less than pleased about our negative reviews and continued and detailed updates. She then asked when she could expect him to pay. He stated he could probably do it in about 10 days. We're over 14 days now and have yet to see any check in the mail. We extended him a reasonable courtesy of 30 days to pay us, yet again. There is another payment hearing scheduled for April. If he fails to pay or bring his financial records with him then he can be held in contempt of court - brought to jail. Completely baffled why any business owner would not see the gravity of this situation. ****UPDATE - 1/5/13****The business owner has failed to make the court ordered judgment to us and he passed the date of filing an appeal. Payment was due in December. We have reported this to the small claims court and he will be ordered back to court in March to explain why he has not paid. ****UPDATE - 11/29/2012**** We won the court case against Abramo Brothers and they have been ordered to repay our full deposit plus court fees. He was completely unprepared for court. He also had no defense and admitted to the magistrate he left the project looking this way and it is not how a install usually goes. He didn't fight our claim at all. We are very happy to put this ugly chapter behind us and have the project re-done next year. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One of the worst companies we ever had to deal with as home owners. So slow at communicating. You're lucky if you can get the owner to call you back at all. In addition they do not show up when they say they will. We had probably over 8 promised dates they would return to finish the job and they would not show up and wouldn't even call. A one day job took over 30 days to finish and it's not even done professionally. They either measured wrong or installed liner off center so it does not fit properly. They rushed the day of the install and started filling the pool with water too early before they even had the liner set. It looks like an amateur did it. Corners are not set into frame and there are wrinkles all over the steps. In addition someone on the work crew made foot prints in the bottom of the pool which we discovered after we swam this summer, also many sharp rocks can be felt thru the liner. They left the old liner and the box of the new liner for over 30 days not disposing of it. They also left Dunkin Donut cups on the ground and some other small trash items from the install. The owner told us they usually don't take old liners or boxing materials with them. Never heard of a contractor not taking this kind of stuff with them. A home owner clearly doesn't have room to throw away an old pool liner for a 16 x 32 pool plus the carton. What is worse is the owner does not care at all and he is very deceitful. He has his store employees lie for him when you try to reach him at the store phone number and his does not provide a cell phone number. We're in process of filing a complaint with the BBB and next step is to file a small claim against them in court. Thankfully we withheld final payment. We've had another contractor look at their work post install and they agreed this is a sub-standard unprofessional install and will not last. Baffling that they have an A+ with the BBB and a B on Angie's List. Please take my word for it, avoid yourself a major headache and do not go to this company for any new or existing pool work. You will regret it if you do. If for some reason you really want to hire them, then do not pay in full until you fully inspect their work with a fine tooth comb.

They were poor at communication and often left the pool in a non-working state. When we called them about our issues, they were unresponsive. We fired them in May 2011 when we found someone better.

They let me pre-pay to get the pool opened and closed and gave me the pre-pay discount in FEB of this year, even though you were supposed to pre-pay by the end of last year. I also bought a pool cleaning robot from them which had just been on sale and they gave me that discount too. I am a brand new pool owner and they were very helpful. I am also having them measure the pool for a safety cover that I will have installed when the pool is closed. The guys were very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend them for service. They also have a store front where they sell chemicals, etc. but I don't know how they compare to other pool stores. The $600 (roughly) is to open & close the pool......I pre-paid.
Description of Work: Opened my in-ground pool for the summer season and got the pump started. I am a new pool owner and they showed me how to use the robot I bought to clean the bottom of the pool and how to run the pump etc.

They are cheaper than other pool companies and they do a very good job. They are professional and at least one of the brothers is always on the trip. So you always get good people and I think that they are very good.

I like the program that they offer that lets you prepay for the season and you get one low price for both services. They do call you the day before the scheduled service to confirm, but you do not need to be there for them to do their work. They are a wonderful company.
