We highly recommend Kinsella Built! We appreciated their work so much that we have recommended them to all of our friends in need of construction. Now that is the true testimonial! We had a significant project (7 months total)- we put on an addition, created an open concept downstairs & finished our basement. Yet despite the breadth of the work - Kinsella and Team showed an immense work ethic from start to finish. Every day they were there at 7AM and put in a full day. The quality of their work was also bar none. We have seen many new builds/other construction projects where the contractors cut corners or create a shoddy product. Kinsella, on the other hand, creates a solid, structurally sound, superior quality work. They were also very good from a communication perspective. We have worked with many contractors who have ghosted us or we have had to run down. Instead, with Kinsella, they would answer all my texts promptly, etc. Kinsella provided solid quality, dedication to the project, great communication, prompt timeliness (they finished the project on time)....all at a reasonable cost. You can't ask for much more from a Contractor. That said, many thanks to James, John + Grainne (Ian and the rest of the Kinsella crew) for the wonderful job with our "new" home....we absolutely love it!

We were very impressed with the quality work that Kinsellabuilt did on our house renovation. They were professional, reliable, and did an excellent job. In addition, they were so easy to work with, always available to answer our questions and to address any concerns we had. They also kept us up-to-date on the progress of the project and made sure that we were happy with the results. Because we had to move out of the property to another part of town, we were happy to hear from our neighbors that workers showed up first thing every day and worked throughout the day - given what I'd heard from friends who'd been through similar projects, I was so relieved to know that Grainne, James, and John were dedicated to keeping the project moving along to schedule and to the budget. They were also very flexible when it came to adding additional items to the reno - they were amazing! roject was a new construction, 3 family modular, passive house in Cambridge MA. KinsellaBuilt guided us masterfully from beginning to end all during COVID. They started w maneuvering thru the numerous applications, permits, certifications, inspections required to begin.They oversaw the excavation, pouring of the new foundation and drain install. KinsellaBuilt coordinated w the several city departments to receive delivery of 6 massive modular units driven from Maine to be set by crane on a narrow city street. Once the partially constructed modular were placed connections and finishes were made by knowledgeable plumbing, electric, tile, paint, insulation, siding, flat roof subcontractors. We were in constant contact w KinsellaBuilt and kept informed of progress being made. Were there delays and a few overruns, during COVID, of course. All were circumstances beyond anybody’s control. We ended up with a quality product, a contractor I would use again and highly recommend.

James and John and their entire team were wonderful and did an outstanding job. They were very careful and meticulous and responsive. We would recommend them without reservation and will definitely ask them to help us again the future.

The Kinsellabuilt team is outstanding - they managed through a full gut remodel of our ~1,925 sqft home in a little over 5 months from when we got our initial quote. They have a great eye for design as well, which we found really helpful - they would ask us for input on decisions where we had personal preferences and took care of the small decisions where we didn't have preferences in ways that made a lot of sense. This was our first remodel and they were really great about giving us advice and steering us away from decisions that might be costly or not work well. They are highly responsive and quick to resolve issues. We were also really impressed by their accuracy on the cost estimate. They charged us exactly what they said they would, and anything that added cost was discussed, agreed to beforehand, and documented on the invoices. Even with the cost increases, almost all of which was due to us increasing scope, we came in within 5% of the original estimate. Would highly recommend!

I really cannot say enough good things about our experience with Kinsella! For starters, we had gone through NINETEEN other contractors before we found Kinsella. Many said the job was too big or too small, but a half dozen of them said they could/would do the job, and then totally ghosted during the quoting process. In hindsight, I am so glad that they did so that we could end up with Kinsella. The whole Kinsella team was so kind, professional, punctual every day, did PHENOMENAL work, and always took the time to answer any questions we had and explain to us in detail what was going on in the project. They even provided some guidance for us for other changes we plan to make to our home in the future. For our project, they removed a load bearing wall and installed a 22' beam, removed/moved/replaced electrical according to the removed wall, removed the old electrical baseboard heaters in the home, added recessed lighting, and installed a center kitchen island with electrical hook ups. (Please note, per our choice, the scope of our project did not include paint, flooring, or island countertop installation. That's why the photos I attached have the space still "unfinished"). The work they did was so perfect, it looks like there was never a wall there. The way they explained the structural changes and even pointed out (and corrected!) some issues with the original build of our home made us so confident in the work they were doing. Even the inspectors were very complimentary. Our contractor communicated excellently through every step. The owner of the group was in constant contact. From day 1, they made it so clear how much they cared and how seriously they took the job. I really can't say enough good things about them.

Their workmanship is top notch and they truly care about the detail. The team treated our condo as if it was theirs, which meant a lot. It went very well. The contractor was very efficient and the quality of work was excellent. The plumbers, electrician, and tilers all were excellent as well. I would highly recommend this company and look forward to working with them again on our next project.

I first heard about Kinsella Built via a recommendation from one of my co-workers who had used them for a kitchen renovation and raved about how it came out. Prior to reaching out to Kinsella via their web form, I had tried to contact multiple contractors to discuss my project and received no response. As a result, I had low expectations for receiving a timely response (or response at all) so you can imagine my surprise and delight when I got a response within 10 minutes of submitting my form. This proved to be a good omen for the rest of the project. The scope of my project was to do a full remodel of my kitchen and half bath in my condo (e.g. demo to the studs & install all new walls, cabinets, fixtures & appliances). The kitchen and bathroom share a wall and occupy a space of about 95sq ft, with the kitchen taking up about 60% of that space. It's a small space and going into the project, I anticipated that there wouldn't be much that could be changed in the way of the configuration or layout. During my first consultation with the project manager (John), he highlighted a number of options I hadn't considered which could both add storage space and also create the appearance of more space in my kitchen. Throughout the design phase, John was remarkably responsive and insightful which was a welcome change from prior experiences with contractors I've used in the past. John was very hands on throughout the project and accompanied my wife and I to look at countertops where he offered guidance based on recent trends and how they could be accommodated within the constraints of our kitchen space. He also made himself available to respond to random questions that came up during the lead up to the project work on everything from door knob finishes to appliance sizes to cabinet measurements and everything in between. Over a number of weeks, I developed a level of trust and rapport with John that helped put my mind at ease to the point where I ultimately deferred to his judgement on most project decisions. The project took about a month to complete and I was traveling out of town on a different time zone for the vast majority. John kept me up to date on the status of the project throughout and despite a few delays due to resource conflicts and timing of inspections, the remodel was completely finished by the time we returned from our trip. While we had an idea of what the kitchen would look like in our heads, the end result really exceeded our expectations. I'm a stickler for precision and the cabinets and appliances were all completely flush, no major gaps anywhere. Our kitchen looked noticeably bigger due to some of the design tweaks that John suggested. All in all, we were very happy with the end product. I can't recommend Kinsella Built enough - it was a pleasure doing business with them. Looking forward to collaborating with them in the future.

We had a major remodeling project with a third floor deck new addition to the second floor master bedroom new bathroom new closet. We had eight new windows placed the whole back of the house has new siding and trim as well as corner boards and it looks incredible. The deck was masterfully built where it is incorporated within the structure of the house it is absolutely 100% leak proof and a joy to experience. The project started in late February and finished in late May. James was a wonderful contractor to work with with a great crew and Grainnie made sure that all of the appointments were met and coordinated all aspects of the work. She was a joy to work with; dedicated beyond efficient, she was available and responsive to any issue, and committed to ensuring the job was completed to our satisfaction.

The project went very smoothly and stayed on budget. Communication was excellent and regular. The project managers and staff were very friendly and easy to get along with. I’d definitely hire them again for future projects.

Kinsella are absolutely great. The project involved remodeling a garage and mudroom from a cement floor and frame To a fully finished the state. James and John were punctual from the very first time at them. They always arrived 15 minutes before they said they would be there, and waited politely in the truck till the appointed hour befor knocking on the door. In these pandemic times, I was always impressed at their regular use of facemasks both inside and outside the house. Their quotation was well below another company. They started exactly when I said they would, and were extremely careful and methodical. The work was finished an extremely high standard, and several times along the way, they made suggestions that made the work of faster or allowed it to be completed for less cost. They were extremely responsive, and every time a slight change of plan came up as it always does with building projects, they were immediately in touch to suggest a range of options and gave good advice about the pros and cons of each. Most importantly, the work was done immaculately, and it’s clear that they pay attention to small details to make sure it’s just perfect. Not only am I delighted with the finish of this project, but also to have found a company that I’m going to use every time I need construction work around the house.

Great! We hired KINSELLABUILT to shore up the back of our house (situated on a hill and not properly supported). They were prompt, courteous, worked well with our structural engineer, had meticulous attention to detail, and left the site tidy at the end of each day and spotless at the end of the job. We are entirely satisfied with the work and will absolutely use them again.

We were very pleased with Kinsella Built's craftsmanship and work ethic. We had an extensive job that required them to replace a rotted post that was structurally required to hold up the back porch. We were pleased with them so much that we had them come back for a basement remodel job. They maintained a great sense of humor while on the job. KinsellaBuilt was great to work with. They were very communicative during a stressful time for us, explaining the damage they discovered and our options.
