Very happy with the service from Atlantic. I got service scheduled the next day and the service man was very knowledgeable and friendly. Moreover, the AC was promptly fixed and the price was much cheaper than other HVAC companies in the area.

Unfortunately we were getting used to have AC failures after each winter. For fixing my problem, we had to wait about 2 weeks for Atlantic (installers). For servicing the units another 2 weeks (not the same day) because they are really too busy and can not do everything the same day (?!). After waiting for 2 weeks the technician showed up and he was very unprofessional. First he could not find a parking space, and he was asking me to pay for his parking ticket or to pay for his parking (!). Second, he did not do anything, because it was raining. Called Atlantic another time, and they pushed me back for another week... Now I'm looking at the weather forecast and the day they booked it's going to rain. I've called them to reschedule, and they can not accommodate us for another day, and the answer was "too bad, first come first serve". We have to wait for another 2 weeks!!! Detail: Each call we have to wait for a long message, and many times nobody answers. I left phone messages, but not once they called me back. Four years ago, the service was great, the techs were well prepared and they always answered us. It looks like the company is growing far from what they can manage and it went from a reliable 5-star to a poor big corp. impersonal and inefficient business.

Everything went well. We had no problems at all.

Now that we've had the system for a full year I feel good about writing a review. I chose Atlantic because they did a major job for a friend and because interviews with their references seemed honest. One reference said it had taken a year to get his system working right, but he admitted to being a perfectionist and said he had 19 zones, including a pool and a heated driveway! Being retired, i was able to participate in the process almost every day. If I had to be somewhere else, I might have hired an owner's rep for a project this big, as there are decisions which have to be made while a bunch of guys are standing around waiting for an answer. Anyway, the Atlantic people were certainly competent and professional, as were their recommended subs. The only real issue was technical, involving communications between thermostats, an air handler and a pump: As we went into winter, we were unpredictably getting unheated air in three zones and it took our Atlantic rep many hours to get it right. That issue lasted about a month. Since December the system has worked perfectly and we are very satisfied.

If I have problems, they make an effort to be here for me. Once in the winter, the heating system wasn’t working, and the big boss came. He left some kind of equipment at my place because he had a feeling that it was going to be needed. He said that it would be here if they needed it, and eventually they did. Once there was a problem with the thermostat, and I had to replace the battery. I couldn’t understand the directions given in the brochure that came with it. I spoke to the boss and he gave me instructions and directions on where to look and how to do it. I got it, and it worked. I have liked them, and I am pleased with them. They give me a wide window for when they will turn up, so I do have to be here. When they know that they are coming, they call me, and that helps. They are efficient, and they seem to know exactly what they are doing. If I have any questions, they answer them.

I think they are one of the better known companies in this area. They are extremely responsive and they have good technicians. They are extremely knowledgeable. They are not cheap, and I don’t have a price to give you. I think they are an upper level of heating and air-conditioning providers. They provide quality work, but they are a little pricey.

After the wait time for the first service date, I was pleasantly surprised by being able to get a prompt appointment when we needed the unit disconnected. Getting through to the right individual at Atlantic Heating & Air Conditioning can be a challenge. They showed up when promised and were professional in their demeanor each time. We did not need the air conditioning during the week + that it took to come back and fix the unit so we didn't worry about lack of communication there. My concerns come from the amount this procedure cost when we took the necessary steps to protect the air conditioning unit from harm, but got slammed with extra time and repairs anyway. We had no indication that it would or did take this many hours until we got the bill. Improvements in Communication/ Customer Service and technician oversight would probably make customers happier. At the very least, I'd prefer to work with a company that doesn't charge $125/hour for travel. Note: I gave a "C" for quality. Since air conditioning season was effectively over by the time final fix was made, I have no idea where I'll be when we use it next year.

We signed up for an annual maintenance contract and then had them come a couple times to fix two issues. Both experiences were really terrible. We went the entire winter without heat on our top 3 floors and now do not have working air conditioning. The first time they said one part was faulty and that they would order the part and call when it was in. I had to follow-up with them after a couple weeks to see if the part was in. They came out to install the part and said that everything was working now - it wasn't. So they had to come out again and this time said it was a different part. They also totally scammed our neighbor - he was charged for 2 guys for several hours when really it was 1 guy for an hour of actual work. He spent part of the time talking on his cell phone and sitting in the van.

Horrible customer service. I moved into a new home this summer and wanted to get my furnace and water heater cleaned and inspected. The previous owner used Atlantic, so I decided to contact them. When I called the first time, the phone rang and rang and no one picked up. I didn't even get an opportunity to leave a message. I called a second time, since maybe I had the wrong number. Again, no answer. So I went to their website and filled out an inquiry form. I waited two weeks and never received a call back. So I called again. I got a lovely receptionist who said I needed to be transferred to their service representative, but he was out to lunch. She asked if I wanted to leave a message. I said yes. I left a message for the service representative to call me back. It has been two weeks since I left the message and I am still waiting for a call back. I have contacted another company. Atlantic lost my business.

We've been using Atlantic for annual service for years; they are always punctual, and the service men are usually polite, neat & responsive. I'm always home when they come. The boilers are fairly new, so don't have any significant issues. Last year I forgot to schedule the annual service, so this year's charge was higher than usual (two years ago it was ~$200). But the systems are now in great shape & operating nicely! I strongly recommend annual cleaning/service to maintain boilers.

Atlantic was able to take care of my heating issue professionally and adequately.

He was prompt and came when promised, but it went downhill from there. He seemed confused by a simple A/C system and spent several hours running around the house. Finally he said that he would have to bring in someone else to look at it; needless to say we never heard back from him except for an $850 bill for a service that was never completed.

We have had constant problems with the system. The new ductwork is now held together by duct tape, without a permanent repair. There is something wrong with the system every spring since the install and we have been charged each time. My feeling is now to pay to have a different company look at it.

These people are the worst. Absolute worst. We have been burned by them several times now (shame on us for not learning the first time). For the most recent job: they quoted us $159 to service our brand new gas boiler (which they installed). When we received the bill, it was for !650.00!. That's right, more than >>4>brand new>binding<< contract with a fixed price, only to try to sneak in a higher price by about $1500 after the job was completed). We say this about practically no one, but in this case, for this particular company, we can only conclude that Atlantic Heating is intentionally cheating us. You are a fool if you use these guys. You've been warned.

They were responsive and came on short notice. The person who came out was resourceful and creative about staying around until somebody came and helped to solve the issue. They got the power on within a day. I was not in town when they did the job. Their pricing was reasonable and I was satisfied with their service.

Their price is a little bit high, but their quality is good. I would continue to use them in future.

They scheduled an appointment without any hassle even though we had a small window to work with. They called en route as requested. They also checked out the unit of the other condo in our building at the same time, no problem. They said $125 per hr Pplus parts. They ended up charging me $125 and the other condo owner $145, I think, because he needed to replace her very clogged filter. I didn't time it to see if it actually took two hours but must have been pretty close, if not.

The technician was early and did a good, thorough job, walked us through the work he had done. Very professional

They are very professional, and I have been impressed with the services that they have provided.

It was terrible. They were very unresponsive. They messed up the billing. They didn't handle the warranties well. They people didn't show up when they were supposed to. You name it, they screwed it up. There wasn't much of a mess to clean up when they were done, but they did clean up what mess there was. The work they did was OK, but it was the "getting the work done" part that was terrible. The technicians that came and did the work, I had no problem with, it was the guys in the office that handled the job that I problem with. They never sent the same guy twice. It was just very poor management on the home office end.

The initial interview with this company was not exciting. Even so, we felt they were a viable possibility for this project, and so asked for a quote. We gave the sales rep a copy of our floor plans and were told he'd get back to us soon. We never heard from him or his company again, which disappointed us. A courtesy call to tell us they were no longer interested would have been appreciated and would have been more professional.

They showed up when promised, were careful of our floors and carpets, and cleaned up thoroughly. They installed a temporary water heater while the work was being done. They handled some unexpected installation issues promptly and at no extra charge. When our usual electrician was not able to figure out how to wire the new system, they found one who was. They made several extra visits to resolve minor teething problems, cheerfully and at no extra charge. They patiently gave us lessons in how to operate the new system efficiently.

We wanted to create another heating zone that entailed the bedroom suite and kitchen that are located on separate floors. Another contractor whom had performed renovations in our home, stated that our existing furnace could not handle a separate zone and a new furnace was needed. We obtained a second opinion. Atlantic assessed the job, stated that the existing furnace was more than adequate and performed the work. The wait time to get into the job queue was approximately one month. They even were able to make new slim-fit radiators, put in by our old contractor (but never worked), function well. We are pleased with their work and attentiveness to our concerns.
