Initially, the job went pretty well. The crew removed the two large maples, promising to return later to dig up leftover stumps. They then transplanted a large pine tree, laid out a central rock garden, planted numerous plants, bushes and small trees, constructed an arbor and an entry trellis, and then applied the hydroseed. The real problem began with the hydroseeding. The first attempt failed and the job was repeated. I feel that the main reason for the unsuccessful hydroseeding was the use of inferior soil and, perhaps, an insufficient amount of seed in the mix. Anyhow, the results were disastrous and the yard looks terrible. Roy Asbury, the company boss, had promised us a beautiful lawn and we got anything but. They also didn't go deep enough in the stump removals, so that nothing grows in the spots where the maples were. They also did a poor job of replacing a fence section, and we had to pay someone else to rectify their error.
Description of Work: Two maple trees were removed. Landscaping of the property was done after another company had removed an inground swimming pool. The landscaping project involved planting various bushes, plants and small trees, the transplanting of one large pine tree to a roomier section of the yard, the construction of an arbor and an entrance trellis, replacement of fence sections lost in the process of removing the two maples, and, finally, the hydroseeding of both the back and front yards. The hydroseeding was repeated because heavy rains had washed away the initial seed.
