Description of Work: 3 guys arrived exactly on time and went to work. They had the truck loaded in about 3 hours. They wrapped the necessary items, loaded, unloaded at the new location. Very polite, courteous, and professional. They didn't necessarily unload boxes to the room identified but everything arrived in 1 piece and quickly so I was plenty pleased.

Description of Work: Carl from Kilroy first came to my apt to see what was going into storage and what was being moved. He suggested they come several days early to take furniture going into storage to give me some room. Dana and Steve showed up right on time and were compassionate and conscientious, needless to say I was stressed. The day of the move I was still packing. The crew of three showed up on time and moved everything to my new location. Two days later I was overwhelmed and still not finished packing. I called Kilroy again and although they couldn't come that afternoon they were there the next morning at 8:30am. 2 hours later they finished packing up my stuff and moved it to my new location. I am forever grateful to them for helping me through a VERY STRESSFUL move. I will definately use Kilroy again when I finally move to my new place in a year or so.

 + 0 moreThe main office had given me a window in the afternoon and said that the movers would call when they were leaving their last job. As promised, I got the call on the earlier side of the window and we met them at my parents. Although we had only booked the piano move, there were a couple of other pieces of furniture and they were more than happy to move these as well for us. Rich and the team were extremely friendly and courteous and handled everything with great care. Our stairs are pretty step and wasn't easy moving a 500+lbs piano up them. It was a lot of work but they never complained. I don't know how the price compares with other movers since I didn't shop around but I was very satisfied with the service for the cost. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: We had a baby grand piano moved from my parent's house to mine along with another couple pieces of furniture.

 + -1 moreThey were very responsive in setting up a walk through and providing me with a quote on the spot for the services. Unlike the other movers they provide a firm quote for the move where the others just quote the hourly rate and approximate number of hours. The Kilroy method seems better since you can budget for the move easier. Also, I can't imagine that the other companies would lower their price after giving you the quote. They moved everything out in about 8 hours, stored it for the night, and brought it to the new house the next day and unloaded in about 3.5 hours. They did a great job and were on time both days. Hopefully we don't move for a long time but if we did I would use Kilroy all over again and based on their history and longevity in business I am sure they will still be around when we do.
Description of Work: We moved from Middleboro to Plymouth; 3 bedrooms, kitchen, dining, living room, shed, deck; In one of the bedrooms the furniture had to be taken out the window and all of the movers did a great job making that feat look easy.

 + -1 moreThey are very, very efficient and reliable but it really depends on the size of our house and everything else. They are very friendly. They are very prompt. They are very clean and efficient. We really don’t get to know movers through all of it in a day we are moving. I would absolutely use their services in the future.
Description of Work: I used the services of Kilroy Brothers, Inc. The last time I used their services was in 2007. The cost depends on how much we are moving. They are very reasonable though. I know that as I did a lot of looking around.

Description of Work: Kilroy Brothers is an excellent moving company. I needed to move my parents from a 2 bedroom apt. to an assisted living facility. Kilroy was prompt, courteous, and performed all services in a highly professional manner. The move was easy, but the packing was challenging. They had to pack China and other fragile things for my elderly parents. The packing took quite some time, but Kilroy did an outstanding job to protect all the fragile pieces. I highly recommend their packing and moving services.

 + -1 moreThey worked quickly and efficiently. There was apparently a new guy with them and they showed him the ropes as they went. They never took a break. The crib I had was a bit challenging to dismantle but they steadily took it apart and put it back together once at the new home. Richie, Doug and Dave were so great. I changed my mind many times where the furniture would go and they moved it without hesitation. I was amazed they didn't even wear gloves as they moved all the furniture! I told them I was very concerned about my freshly painted interior walls, and they didn't even go near them. I would use Kilroy's Moving again in an instant. I reccommend them without reservation.
Description of Work: They arrived half an hour early which was fine with us. They surveyed each room before they pulled their truck in to the driveway. They moved just a few things from my home and then went to a storage place in Weymouth to pick up stuff in 2 bins before they proceeded to my new home.

 + -1 moreThey did an amazing job. I received estimates from several moving companies. This included the top rated one on your list, they came in at TRIPLE THE PRICE and took five days to let me know they would be able to take the job. Kilroy Brothers were tied for the best price and gave me great service from the beginning. The crew arrived on time and quickly loaded the truck and started the drive to Quincy and finished early. Dana (the crew leader) called me a few times to let me know they arrived in Quincy. They had the truck almost unloaded and the contents in the hallway before we arrived there. I would let everyone know to try them first. Why pay too much for the top rated? I can't imagine they would do a better job.
Description of Work: Moved furniture from a three room apartment in Bardonia, NY to a three room apartment in Quincy, MA. The apartment in Quincy's move in hours were from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. They drove to New York, leaving Brockton at 4:00 AM, packed the van and were in Quincy and finished by 2:30 PM.

After getting estimates from several moving companies (including the top rated one on this list who wanted to send 2 trucks and crews at the double the cost) they had the best price. The crew arrived on time, started hustling and didn't stop until they were finished. I don't think they even took a break. They finished the job in less time than estimated. The crew leader (Dana) constantly communicated with us to make sure he was moving everything to the right places in the new house. It was amazing to see how quickly they worked.
Description of Work: Moved all furniture, appliances and boxes from a 3 bedroom, 1200-sq foot house 3 blocks down the street to a bigger house. They saved time by not packing the truck tightly and making several runs between the houses. The original estimate was for 5 to 7 hours, but the crew finished in 4 hours.
