CERTIFIED REMODELING & BUILDING

We called for an estimate to get our double decker porches either repaired or replaced. Certified Builders showed up promptly for an estimate which included note taking, advice and answered all our questions very patiently. We were told that the estimate would be sent via email within a couple of weeks. Two weeks went by and we had not received the estimate so I made a call. I was told that they were working on the estimate, were planning to go on vacation and that we would receive the estimate afterwards. Two months have gone by and still no estimate. Needless to say we are using another company

We had to replace our porch. Rick propped up the roof, poured new concrete footings, and built new framing for the porch floor, and stair stringers. My husband installed the new decking, and then Rick came back and installed the columns. He was very prompt and finished the work quickly, and his rate was lower than another quote we had(the amount we paid included materials). My husband had initially thought to install the columns himself, but then he realized it was a little beyond him. So we asked Rick to come back and install the columns, and Whoosh! we came home from work a day or two later and it was done. Then we had to chase him down to get him his check. When he and his helper dug the footings for the porch, they also removed some wayward small weed trees that had rooted themselves under the porch. They weren't big, but they have long taproots and are difficult to remove. I didn't even have to ask him to do that for me.
