I was very pleased with the service and promptness. When Arthur came out he was incredibly knowledgable of our system and knew exactly what was needed to get both of our units up and running.

My AC went out right in the middle of a heatwave. Most companies said they were booked weeks out. Fire and Ice said they would find a way to fit me in and when one job finished early they made it over the next day! Not only did they fix the AC but they ran a couple tests first and found a cheaper way with less downtime to get it back running. Also, this was in the height of COVID-19 and we have some immunocompromised family members and they were very thoughtful and professional about finding a way to service the HVAC system while minimizing any time inside the house and wearing masks etc. when inside. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again for any future work!

Fire and Ice were the best! Lost my central A/C unit when out of nowhere it just 'blew'. Called lots of local folks and Angie's list, but they were most professional, fastest responders, and had the most creative and cost-effective solution for my 15 year old unit that was clearly no longer supported. They came on Friday night and by end of day Monday I had a new unit that has been amazingly efficient and wonderful—not just a replacement, but SO MUCH BETTER than the old one. As a bonus, they even helped do some clear cutting around the outside unit to make sure it didn't get messed up. Would definitely hire them again, and I recommend them highly.

Jonathan was phenomenal!! He managed to fit me in last minute when my A/C broke on an especially hot day during the pandemic. Amazing customer service, knowledgeable and committed to doing a quality job at all times. He went above and beyond during his two visits, and I would recommend him to anybody in the area who is looking for heat and/or A/C! I will certainly be using Fire and Ice (and only Fire and Ice) again in the future!

Arthur and Jon are really great to work with. While installing thermostats (including a Nest) is straightforward, the other job came only with their creativity to solve a long standing problem. We have an old A/C system, and the fan was not coming on correctly. Long story short, they created a new connection to bypass current issue, ensuring fan would be on continuously when it should be, and not on when it shouldn't. No one else we had could figure out a solution. They are creative, and just great to work with!

Jon did a routine maintenance check on our furnace, explaining what he was doing every step of the way.

The job was done on time. It took 10 hours to complete the job - take out the old gas furnace and install new one. I paid $14,000 for this job that included the cost of the furnace. The quote provided was not itemized and the repairman refused to provide itemized quote. I later found out that the cost of the furnace that was installed was $2,500, assuming additional materials cost of $1500 it means I paid $10,000 for the 10 hours of labor. While the need to replace was urgent - it really feels like a rip-off.

It was great! Fast and friendly. I called earlier in the day and he arrived within hours. He explained everything that was happening and my issue was quickly resolved. Would hire again!

Arthur did a great job! My furnace wasn’t working, and it was cold. He came out on a Saturday, and quickly diagnosed the problem. He let me know my options, and then fixed it. Heat! Arthur and John are both extremely competent. But what sets them apart is how courteous they are, and very good at taking the time to explain what the problem is and the repair options.

Arthur diagnosed and fixed my boiler issue, and took his time to explain how everything worked and answered all my questions regarding maintenance, parts, etc. He was on time, polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. I would gladly hire again!

Fire and Ice installed our high efficiency gas furnace 8 years ago. They were very responsive and easy to work with. Over Christmas vacation this year (8 years later) our furnace wasn’t working. Fire and Ice was able to come the same day to repair the furnace. Their rates are reasonable and they were very patient answering my questions as I had tried to fix the furnace myself first and was curious to see what the problem actually was (clogged condensate drain tube). I will definitely use them in the future when we need furnace repair.

These guys (Arthur & Jon) are fantastic. Super responsive, nice, personable, communicative and skilled at their work. Can't recommend them highly enough!!!

Jon and Artie were extremely responsive to our needs. Jon came over after hours to look at our system to determine what needed to be done and quickly developed a plan to provide us with what we needed. He was able to pick up the parts over the weekend and install them first thing Monday morning. Not only would I hire Jon and Artie again but I recommend them to everyone who needs HVAC work.

These guys are great! I called at 5:30pm when our air conditioning went our during a heat wave. They were at our house within an hour, jerry-rigged the machine so it worked temporarily, ordered the part, and three days later installed it. Incredibly responsive, pleasant, and professional.

I am a renter and our central AC broke at the beginning of the week and it is the middle of summer so it was HOT! I contacted Arthur at 4pm and he was so responsive and arranged an appointment for the very next day between 7:30-8:30am. He was in and out within less than an hour so we just needed to pay for parts and the hourly wage. He was professional, informative, and so nice. I would recommend his services to anyone in need of HVAC repairs.

Arthur was available during the holiday weekend with short notice. He was very polite, responsive, and punctual. He took the time out to explain to my wife what was going on (I was at work), and told us what we needed to do for replacing the filter in order to avoid charging us for another hour. There has been no recurrence of pooling water since.

I woke up from a nap one afternoon to find the upstairs A/C out. Arthur came out almost immediately, late in the day, and ended up staying (along with John) into the evening. In addition to fixing a burst pipe, we found that our downstairs unit had leaked coolant, and Arthur and John took the time to investigate/diagnose/repair the problem, and identify multiple additional problems with the original installation. They were up front about costs, kept me updated about progress, and were a pleasure to work with (as much of a pleasure as expensive A/C repairs can be). Honesty and integrity. Couldn't ask for more.

The job went perfectly. We love dealing with this company. So professional, expert, responsive, always easy to schedule and jobs get done on time! They installed the heat pumps a few years ago and now doing annual maintenance/cleaning.

Arthur came out and repaired the boiler at our house. I recommend him very, very highly. He's very smart and really knows what he's doing. He was able to figure out what was wrong with our boiler when repair people from other companies couldn't.

Arthur was fantastic. He was right on time, kept me informed as he noticed any problems that needed fixing, and gave me clear explanations of the repairs he was making. I’ll definitely hire him again.

Phenomenal, the HVAC tech was on time, excellent to work with and explained the entire process to me. I would recommend him again to anyone in Boston!

Arthur was very responsive and came to inspect the furnace within a day of contacting him. It turned out he could not easily access the motor assembly due to the location of the gas hookup relative to the existing access panel. Rather than trying to force the new fan assembly and possibly not being able to complete the job (and wasting our money on labor), he suggested we have a handyman come and cut an access panel. Within a day of that job, Arthur came back and installed the new fan. We really appreciated his honesty and communication, and the job was very professionally done.
