Born to Move

I used Born To Move for my move from MA to FL. They told me that they had insurance - their moves were insured - and that they would secure all furniture and we would be in charge of boxes. They did not wrap half of our things and as a result of their negligence, items we damaged. After our move, I reached out to them with photos of the damage and they are not returning my calls or emails. I called the insurance companies listed on their website and their company is not registered with either of those companies. They REFUSE to compensate me for my damage. They have NOT returned any of my calls or emails. I called from a different number yesterday and they picked up saying "I was on vacation, I will look at the emails and call you." which was a lie! He never called back. I called at least 20 times and emailed several times. Apparently, they do not take responsibility of my damage. I wonder if they are even insured! Very unethical! As proof - photos of damage and invoice are uploaded. 1- A part of the leg of the antique table is completely broken and the sides are scraped - it cannot be really fixed. 2- Exercise vibration machine equipment is completely destroyed and unusable. It is $350. They did not even wrap this in a blanket or anything else. The display is broken - wheels are gone - missing - power cord is missing as well. unusable and broken. 3- The holes on the couch. 4- Patio set - scratches because again, these weren't secured properly. 5- Bookshelf: completely broken. 6- Chair - the top part is torn I tried every avenue before publishing reviews online and filing a complaint on BBB. They SIMPLY REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DAMAGE THEY CAUSED AND THINK IT IS OK AND THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT! SHAME ON YOU!

they broke my mother antique china cabinet. they gave me a hard time with payment on the insurance, Parts had to be custom made and they would not pay for any shipping and handling. the drivers left my mothers home several minutes after me and were less than a minute behind me when I arrived at my house. I guess speeding and not caring about a client's belonging are par for the coarse with them.

The antique cabinet glass was broken in the move. They would not completely cover the cost of the damage including having items shipping to get my cabinets custom glass made, even though I have several e mails between myself and Alex confirming he would not only cover the cost of the damage but my out of pocket cost to ship an original peace of unbroken glass to the fabricator to be duplicated. I have been since told to this will not happen. Do not use this company they are rough, they speed and do not take care of your items, they do not care.

This is the best moving experience I've ever had! George and Lamar were so polite, professional, and competent. They understood that the move was difficult for my mother, and treated her and her things with respect. I would recommend them to anyone who will be moving in the near future. And Alex, the man I spoke with to set up the move, was professional and accommodating. We did not have a single issue with this move, and that's unheard of!

These guys are fabulous. Courtesy and respect are not lacking, but they don't waste your time by chit chatting. They know they're paid by the hour and they hustle. Packing services were great. Broke one glass and told us immediately, something that is bound to happen - the integrity to let you know is hard to find. Highly recommend.

Great beyond expectations. These guys are real pros and though it was a small move it was not easy given the 3 flight rickety, windy stair walk up at the move into end. They were undaunted and accomplished the move with no issues whatsoever. A special hats off to Lamar, the crew head, who was both a super professional and a great guy to talk with. For the price, these guys are amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect because I have never moved before- but they answered all of my questions and they were very prompt. The entire process was really easy, as it should be. I didn't have to lift a finger the entire time. I was really, really worried about my stuff the entire time but everything arrived safely and on time! Thanks a ton to Born to Move for making my life that much easier. I will be using them when I move back home at the end of the school year.

When I called these guys they were very friendly and professional they gave me a time they would be comming and they were not late. The price was very good and not overpriced. I liked that they were carefull with moving my stuff and they were making sure to not drop or break anything. They made this moving experience stress free and affordable. I will be hiring again in the future, and recommending as well.

Needed help moving expensive furniture that was purchased from Ethan Allen and was worried about damages, cracks in the wood, and chipped paint happening to my furniture. Born to move excelled my expectations. They did a superb job and took their time when packaging my furniture, yet were extremely fast and efficient with the move itself. Definitely recommend if you are looking to move within New England.

Born to Move provided me a stress-free, easy, and reliable relocation! I had a full-service moving package. I used them for storage purposes as well, and they were able to think ahead at each step. When I arrived to my new place everything was there and in the condition it left in. They brought over all my things safely and nothing was broken. Everything was unloaded with care too. The process gave me no stress, and I’m an easily stressed person. I made the right choice using Born to Move. They went so fast up and down all my stairs. I’m glad I got a quote over the phone, and that they worked with and stayed within my budget. I am pretty set up now in my current living situation, but I will recommend them to friends and will use them should I choose to move again.

It went well, despite having to pay more for insurance of the property as only several large boxes contained historical documents and had to be properly sealed against all sorts of things that could go wrong. Fortunately, nothing went wrong but it cost a pretty penny in the process. But to receive what I did from Born To Move was more than helpful and gracious from the emails and phone calls made to them. I was quite pleased to receive everything intact and can tell that by the condition of the boxes/freight that even though there were scuffs and slight damage, the contents were still preserved and wrapped properly because of the historical significance of the period pieces.

What a great experience!!! The attention to detail making sure my items were carefully moved and professionally wrapped furniture was done very well without any issues. The process of moving is always such a hard experience and Born to Move made this so much easier to know that they took the time to move my items was a load off my mind. I would highly recommend to anyone that has the need to move to make them your first choice.

OUTSTANDING! They truly were about their customer satisfaction. Off the bat, when first inquiring about their services, their customer service was 5 star quality! Answering all my questions with patience and then quoting me a price that was unbeatable! When it came to the actual moving process they were efficient yet gentle with all my belongings. Very professional. They secured all my personables with care and support and were able to not only transfer it all to my new location...but unloaded every piece and helped get it into the actual house with ease. So i recommend them? There is no other option BUT them! They blow everyone else out of the water. Loved these guys! Thank you!

Fantastic! Loading up was easy and they were very good. Wrapped all the furniture. The unloading was more complicated as things were going in the house, in the basement and then in the backyard. They were very accommodating! Would hire them again in a heartbeat!

I recently moved from Boston to New York and I was looking for moving company for a really long time reading reviews and I was so afraid that they could be fake. But as soon as I contacted Born to Move I realized that customer service is a top priority of this company.Also, movers were careful with my furniture wrapped literally every single piece. Our moving experience with the company was very positive. After putting my initial request using a web form, I received a fast response over the phone. Then we finalized the details of the forthcoming move. On the day of the move everything went very smoothly. The movers were very professional in their work. They came on time, were very organized and careful with our furniture. Upon arrival to our destination, everything was put in place and unpacked very carefully. We were very pleased with our movers. We would highly recommend the company to everyone who wants worry-free experience.

The move was great, despite the frigid weather. The guys showed up within fifteen minutes of the scheduled time and handled my stuff with great care. When I moved years ago, I used unlicensed movers I found on Craigslist, but it wasn't so smooth and didn't go so great. I enjoyed the opposite experience with Born To Move because they genuinely seemed to respect my belongings and treated them as though they were their own. And they seemed to know the Boston area fairly well, so there was no need for elaborate directions. Overall, the move was pretty stress-free. I didn't have a ton of stuff to move, but I was still pleasantly surprised how efficiently things went. I'd definitely recommend this company for any moves in the Greater Boston area.

Hired for a commercial production last week in MA, I was the last to know that the production company was in the process of moving to new facilities. They took a chance with Born to Move whose crew handled the office equipment and lobby furniture in the early morning of the 6th. I got to chatting with one of the young men on the team - didn't catch his name - and he was quite polite and curious about my acting gig here. Very professional, upfront, transparent, direct, this young man was always moving around and organizing/logging items... then in about two hours the front lobby was empty. I met with my contact, Elaine, who was supervising the move and we followed the moving truck to our new destination while she gave me a script to study for that morning's recording in a larger studio. I watched the unloading process after Elaine discussed where each item would go in the new lobby area and it was an almost fast and flawless setup - despite a small accident with one of the file cabinets. Yeah, not every move is perfect but these four guys, ranging from, I think, 20s to late 30s, did a really great job. They even did a post-cleaning as they set up the furniture which was really nice.

They were gracious in their serve . Every employee I encountered was overly polite and just wiling to please . You can tell they care about the caliber service they provide. I would definitely use them again .
