I fancy myself to be an amateur woodworker and I am very picky about the quality of my work. I do, however, know my limitations. I had a situation in new house where an electrical circuit in the second floor study was dead and the only way to correct the problem was to chase a wire from the basement main panel up to the second floor. Given the odd construction of this modular home, there was no easy way to do that. So, I designed a grand plan in which I would add a China closet and a coat closet to the first floor dining room and then run the wire up through this new construction to the second floor study (right above the dining room) where a new bookcase would also hiding the wiring. After coming up with this grand plan, I soon realized that it was out of my league. Personally, I find it very difficult to make drawers and any kind of doors with a glass inlay. I looked around the Cape for a professional to take over the project and I came upon Randy Patterson. Initially, I knew nothing about Mr. Patterson and nothing about his cabinetry skills. I set up an appointment with him so he could come out and see the project. He was right on time for his appointment with me. He took some measurements and we spent a lot of time discussing possibilities and details. He was very helpful when it came to the design I aspect of the project. He gave me an estimate which I thought was fair for the amount of skilled work that needed to be done. Randy started the project on-time and I found him to be quite reliable. In other words, when he said he was going to show up to do work, he would definitely show up. I thought, overall, the project was quite complicated. It required on-site carpentry as well as cabinet building at his own home. I have to say that I was totally impressed with the quality of his work. Like me, he puts great emphasis on the details and he was not satisfied until everything was perfect. As an example of this, he completed the two doors to the bottom of the China closet and I thought they looked great. Randy, however, noticed that there was a slight difference in the trim when the two doors were compared side to side. Honestly, I never would have picked up on this. Nevertheless, he took off one of the doors, brought it home, and re-milled it. The new door looked great and was a perfect match to the existing door. You don’t just have to take my word that Randy Patterson does quality work. Take a look at the photos attached to this review and they pretty much speak for themselves. The work is stunning! In summary, Randy Patterson is honest, reliable, and does an outstanding job. I wholeheartedly recommend him for any woodworking project, especially projects that require advanced cabinetry skills.

It went very well! One trip was to glue the wood back together on louver door, next trip was to hang the louver door back onto doorframe and make sure that the sliding mechanisms were working and everything was level with it’s other matching door. There was a bit of tweaking involved which only a pro would be able to figure out. All work finished on that 2nd visit.

The work was great. The new lattice fence was a much better quality and stronger. Patterson Home Works used the existing posts which saved time. He also made accommodation for the wisteria plant (more like a tree) and left space for plant within the fence! The original lattice fence had basically disintegrated, what a relief to have it replaced!

Randy always does a wonderful job. Randy and his helper Bill repaired windows, replaced siding (texture 111 ), and installed shutters. They are a great team. Very talented. Perfectionists! Will hire again.

Great. Randy found the louver was not a standard size and it was best to partially rebuild and paint the existing louver. All work done on time and as described. Only issue was job came in a bit higher (unforeseen issue) but overall it was a good value and would hire again.

Randy and his crew arrived on time as promised with the proper materials and tools and created did an excellent, professional job. He was open to discussion of what needed to be done and made excellent suggestions, where there were choices to me made. He is a fine a diligent craftsman. I am happy to recommend him.

Mr. Patterson was willing to do the job - he was busy but would have come after finishing some jobs he was working on. I rent and my landlord said they would fix it. I called Mr Patterson to tell him I didn't need his services. I offered to pay for the time he gave me but he declined. I would definitely recommend Mr Patterson.

I liked the responsiveness and professionalism. The work turned out fantastic.

Weatherstripping accomplished but the outside electrical outlet is going to need an electrician to replace. Mr. Peterson worked hard to do the "troubleshooting" but could not locate the problem.

Mr. Patterson was wonderful in following up with several issues that were identified on the home inspection of a house we had a contract on. I so appreciated his responsiveness to going over to the house with our realtor (we live in another state) and then giving us an estimate of repair costs. Unfortunately that sale did not go through, but we plan on keeping Mr. Patterson's contact information as we are in the process of purchasing another house.

I am very satisfied with the work. I added additional time and Patterson Home Works honored the deal price. He was very meticulous and did good work.

Good, it was a difficult job that required carpentry skills and mechanical abilities. Randy had Bill complete the job.

Randy and his Team member Bill were superior. The quality of their work was outstanding! Here are three reasons you should hire them for your needs: 1) Randy came a couple of days early to assess the tasks and discuss how the requirements would be met 2) Randy and Bill showed up on time and began work right away 3) The quality and workmanship of what they accomplished was supeior. They hand crafted wooden parts for a perfect fit and made our handrail look beautiful! I have already asked them to return to replace a window and do more work around the house. Randy is totally respectful, a great listener, and a craftsman who cares about the quality of work that he delivers.

We couldn't be happier with Randal's work. The previous basement door had been leaking water into the basement. The new door and frame are rock-solid, and waterproofing very thorough. The woodshed doors fit perfectly and allow easy access to the firewood. Randal's knowledge of construction is extensive, and his attention to detail is unmatched in our experience.

He is very professional and meticulous about his work. You can tell he takes pride in how well something comes out. That's very important.

Everything went fast, and the work area was cleaned up each day. Everything went well, painting included, Also Mr. Patterson is a very nice and a trustworthy person to work with.
