+ -1 moreLarry was able to help out at the last minute and was wonderful. He arrived on time, did the jobs efficiently, and was a pleasure to work with. He also provided some advice on working with the window and door manufacturer that was used on the house in hopes of getting some free replacements due to product defects. Larry was professional and his prices were fair. I would recommend him and would hire him again without hesitation. Larry--thanks again for helping out on such short notice!
Description of Work: Larry installed two roof vents for bath fans, repaired a cracked plumbing vent boot on the roof, and cleaned gutters.

+ 0 moreIt went great. Larry installed the drywall on the walls I had built in the basement of our house. He offered some very helpful advice to me when I was framing the rooms out. His taping and sanding was top-notch. He cleaned up nicely afterard. He was prompt and courteous. We were very pleased with the results.

Description of Work: ContActed Larry for a quote on a drywall install job. He came out gave us some ideas and said he would get me a price and date for service the next day. I never heard back from him. I left him a voice mail message and an email and he never responded. I subsequently found someone else.

+ -1 moreLarry Chartier was selected from a number of contractors who visited our home for a window repair job that involved sealing the unit to prevent weather leakage. Various contractors recommended fairly expensive remedies. Larry diagnosed the issue as some faulty caulking which not only was much less expensive but solved the problem. We were impressed with his aptitude, demeanor, and responsiveness. He will be at the top of our list.

+ 0 moreWe got an estimate from Larry to do a master bath but we haven't done the work yet. Larry's worked for us before so we are going to give him do the work. We like Larry a lot. We got one other estimate and that was higher. I think Larry is very trustworthy and does real nice work. We met him at a house where he had just completed one because he had some ideas he wanted to show us. I think his prices were appropriate.
Description of Work: We used Larry Chartier Building and Remodeling to build an outside deck and also to do some roof repair.

+ 1 moreLarry is meticulous in his work. He cleans up as he goes to the point that we could stay on site if we needed to. His finishing work and attention to detail is impeccable and he is a craftsman!!! His estimates are fair, he uses quality materials and does not cut corners. His final bills are true to his contract. He is a man of integrity and someone we trust to keep our key - and when possible he responds to our needs when we live hours away.
Description of Work: Larry has worked for us on two large renovations of our summer home on Cape Cod. The first was a major demo that included removing an old iron spiral staircase and building a beautiful wooden staircase to access the 2nd floor. At this time he also replaced carpet to a beautiful bamboo hard wood floor in 2/3 of the condo, replaced tile flooring in 2 baths and a foyer and repaired sheetrock and prepped for our painting. In Spring 2012 he gutted and replaced our galley kitchen including removing old flooring and replacing with ceramic tile, repairing wall surfaces, setting new cabinets, and replacing window and slider and replacing all trim work - primed for our painting. He works well with and coordinates other contractors and vendors and represents our interests and keeps in good communication with us.
