My "new" chair is gorgeous. I grew up with this chair; it's been in our family forever and I've always loved it. It was in our house when I was growing up and it was in my mother's house until her death a year ago. I brought it to my house but it needed new upholstery. It's been reupholstered many times over the years, but not too recently. The seat cushion was too soft and was sort of sinking. I took a photo of the chair to Twin City and they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He showed me some fabrics that he thought would be most suitable in terms of price, durability, and ease of care--I told him I didn't want too many fabric choices! I picked one and he said it might be four weeks before they were ready to pick up the chair. That was fine with me; I was not in a hurry. It was almost four weeks exactly (Christmas got in the way) and they came to pick up the chair. They were right on time and extremely quick and professional. They said it would take about four weeks to finish, and sure enough it was almost exactly four weeks. Last night the chair was delivered and I couldn't be more thrilled. It's like a whole new chair. The cushion and the inside of the chair are firm and unbelievably comfortable. The fabric is gorgeous and the workmanship is spectacular. They even buffed and polished the wood feet. Twin City doesn't just put new fabric on furniture, they practically rebuild it from the inside out. For the amount and quality of the work I think the price is well worth it and more than fair. I wouldn't hesitate to use Twin City again. I should also add that they were very responsive. I called them once to make sure we were still on schedule because of the holidays, and he didn't even have to look up my job--the minute I said my name he knew who I was and what chair was mine. They also answered emails promptly. I highly recommend Twin City.

This chair has been with me since 1970. The upholstery has been very bad, so it has been stored in basements and/or sheds with each move I made. This spring I decided to pull it out of the shed. I took it to Twin City with fabric pieces and asked if it was possible to reupholster it with the fabric. He said he would have to measure it and see if there was enough. He also said he would clean up the wood and then do the upholstery. It did take 4 months, but the resulting product is phenomenal. He not only cleaned the wood, but it was finished in a fashion that pops an accent color in the fabric. He finished the back with a fabric wrapped cord, which followed the pattern of the fabric. The chair is beautiful to look at and comfortable to sit in. We are thrilled with the results. The quality of the workmanship makes it well worth the price.
