+ -1 moreDelivered Oil after they were told not to. They did honor a cheaper quoted rate but if a client tells you not to deliver oil because of financial reason you should not just show up anyway and leave a big fat bill.

+ -1 moreWe have our regular heater and air conditioning guy, South Shore Fuel, it's been fine now. I have no problems with them. The last time they just checked the furnace. They do a thorough job. No problem at all.

Description of Work: We changed from our previous oil company to South Shore fuel based on a promotion South Shore was offering (discounted oil price if invoice is paid within 30 days and free tune up to the boiler). All was fine until last nite when I arrived home to find that we had no heat. I contacted the South Shore and was told they could not provide any service to us because our invoice was over 30 days. We were further told that it was the POLICY of the company that NO service or FUEL could be delivered to anyone if their invoice went over 30 days. I really have no issue with the policy had it EVER been explained to us in advance. If we had known when we signed up we never would have switched providers. In this case we have been out of our home for over two weeks while repairs were being made and had fallen behind on getting bills out. We received no calls from South Shore nor did we receive a notice in the mail. I think we were over the 30 days by 10 or so days....so it's not like we were at 90 or 120 days. I called the credit manager and got no apology, nothing. So to all you folks looking for fuel companies...beware of this one

+ -1 moreWe are happy with South Shore Fuel. They come when they say they will. When we've needed them outside of regular hours they are quick to come. We do have an annual contract with them and this ensures that we get quick service. I have no complaints with them.
Description of Work: They came to do a service job on our oil furnace. They checked it all over and cleaned it.
