Harkin Plastering

Frank was very personable and professional. He stopped by the house to estimate a small basement drywall repair project and completed the job the following day. The quote was very fair and the work was excellent. I highly recommend him for drywall and plastering work.

Hired Frank to install new blue board, and to plaster both the ceiling and walls of a newly built two car garage. The blue board crew came once, and managed to sheetrock the entire 500 square feet garage in one morning. Mr. Harkin subsequently came by with another gentleman and completed the plastering in one day as well. The finished product is smooth, and looks great.

I called Frank Harkin and even though this is probably considered a small job he was very responsive. Quoted me what I thought was a terrific price. Well today Frank and his helper Amaro (hope I spelled the name right) came and I was impressed right from the start. There was some damage behind crown molding which I hadn't seen so I asked Frank if we could get that fixed also. He said not problem and explained what he would do. They not only protected the wood floor in the office, they protected the floors from the front door thru the house. The quality of the work they did was just phenomenal. There were two small areas in the closet ceiling and we thought that was going to be a problem. But no, it came up fantastic. This may sound crazy but it changed the office, we have lived with the old ceiling (tongue and groove wood) since we bought the house 17 yrs ago. People always told us they couldn't do anything with it. Well Frank Harkin proved them wrong. We will hire him again anytime we have this type of work to do. I highly recommend him.

Excellent work friendly and very fair price

Great work and great guy! Very happy with the work and the fact that he came on Memorial day to get the job done was so helpful for me and my schedule. Thanks again Frank!

Frank showed up pretty quick to give me a quote. The price was reasonable, even better than some of the drywall quotes I got. He was then able to start the job within a couple days. He finished the room in a few hours (so much better than regular drywall with the sanding, skimming, return to sand later...) and it looks great. He laid plastic and swept up afterwards, trying to keep the mess to a minimum. There was still something of a mess, but I'm not sure that's avoidable. He was friendly, responsive and communicated well. I'm happy with the end result and think the price was fair. I'll call him back if I need work done in the future.

They were very good. They were prompt and did good work. They showed up when they said they will.

It was a Monday and I called Mr.Harkin for an estimate and gave him my availability for an estimate for Thursday. He then called me back on Wednesday and asked if he could come and look at the job that night because he had a job cancel on Thursday. He came and gave me an estimate that was fair because I am aware of costs, for plastering, by room. I had a den which I gutted and was making into a dining room. he was the first estimate I had come and went with him. I also had a bathroom that I went from a shower stall to a tube shower combo that needed plastering also. He and another person came the next day and was done in one day. The plastering job he did was very good. It barley needed any sanding at all if there were any high spots you couldn't pick them out. I will hire him again when I renovate a bathroom that I adding a laundry to. Excellent job.

Frank has done the walls in two of the rooms of our old house. His work is exceptional. He is pleasant, prompt, and he cleans up!! I would highly recommend him to anyone. My only complaint is that we didn't meet him earlier so he could have done our whole house!! You will be very happy with the finished product if you hire him.
