Terrible experience overall. We had a ventless unit put in and have had issues from day one. Pilot light goes off constantly. Multiple calls and shoddy service. Final straw was when they came to look at the unit and the man was so rude and condescending I had to get my husband involved- not because I was intimidated- but because I could not tolerate his sexist and dismissive manner. I called immediately to complain and all I have received is the number to the units manufacturer. We spent thousands of dollars on this for nothing. In fact- the rude man said the unit was pointless and he doesn’t recommend them. Would’ve been helpful to gave this information prior to investing. DO NOT USE

The responding representative was able to start the pilot for manual use but didn’t realize until I pointed it out that the auto starter still wasn’t working. He said he’d look into it and get back to me. After not getting a follow-up call i proceeded to call THREE or MORE times and was told we’ll get back to you. Guess what they never did. I would have rather they said ‘I’m sorry we can’t help you’ rather than have me chase them down to no avail. Basically, they took my money and never got back to me. Others beware!

I called this morning and was able to get an appointment in the early afternoon. They gave me a window of 1-4 pm, and called me to update the time. Arrived by 1:30. The woman I made the appointment with was friendly and explained everything to me, including possible costs. The guys also explained everything to me as they were working and were very pleasant. I would absolutely recommend them!

Loreen, the owner's wife, has NO business in customer service, because she absoutely killed the whole deal. We were willing to pay thousands of dollars to do what they told us had to be done and she ruined the whole thing by being nasty and rude and trying to overcharge us. In the end, we decided to dump them and it was a good thing we did. Our chimney never needed to be taken apart and we had a reputable company we found on Angie's list charge us three thousand dollars less and give us exactly what we wanted and needed. The owner's wife should be booted out of the office!

This was one of the worst experiences we have ever had with a company in 20 years of home ownership. Not only were we charged for just getting an estimate, the sales person was patronizing and used an incredibly high pressure "scare tactic" approach to get business. When we received the writeup, there were MATERIAL misrepresentations as to the current state of our chimney and flues. We will be reporting them to the BBB and the Chimney Guild as their lowest estimate was double the next highest bid (which we got 5 more of from other chimney companies) for work/solutions that were not necessary. This is a company that tries to overwhelm you with information and then manipulate you into doing their repairs as quickly as possible. They actually threatened to report us to the city despite the fact that we (obviously) initiated the call. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - even for an assessment.

I wish I had seen the other Angie's List reports before hiring this company to come out and evaluate what needed to be done. I have written several reports on companies I have found on Angie's list but this is my first negative experience. As others have said, the woman answering the phone is very rude. The story kept changing about what needed to be done and what would be nice to do. The price also kept escalating. There are many excellent firms out there. This is definitely not one of them.

I told the secretary that the initial visit was indeed cancelled; that if only the technician could decide if the 149 dollar fee would be applied to the work, and that if I couldn't get access to a technical person to discuss how this decision would be made, that I wasn't interested in hiring them. This secretary was rude and unpleasant; I was being polite and matter-of-fact. I do not recommend this firm, unless you enjoy buying a "pig in a poke."

They overlooked a flue that was blocking a burner. I was bothered that they didn't see the problem. I went with another company. I just didn't have a good feeling about the company.

The conversation I had with the company went poorly. The woman who called to schedule the appointment told me that an estimate would cost "approximately" $150. That seems fair as it will take some time to determine what needs to be done. However, I wanted to confirm that if I did hire the company, the fee I paid for the estimate would be applied to the bill (if I did not hire the company I would obviously have no claim to the estimate fee). The company representative told me that it would be determined on a "case by case" basis as to whether the estimate fee would be applied to the overall cost of the work. When I asked for a few examples of when the fee would not be applied to the cost of the work, she could not give me one. When I asked that she speak to the technicians and ask for an example, she said even the technicians didn't know. Does not sound consistent, fair or like a good business practice. I'll take my business elsewhere.

They did a very nice job.

They arrived on time, spent at least an hour on the phone with me. Stuck my husband in the chimney so he could see the flue's structural damage. Took photographs of the damage. Did a thorough inspection. Inspected from basement level all the way to the roof. Also spent a lot of time explaining what would need to happen and the options available to us. They will be providing a written repair estimate and evaluation so I can pursue the matter with our home inspector. This contractor was referred to me by my oil company.

Company responded quickly to my inquiry, to sweep two chimneys. In order to even give an estimate, they charge $125.00 just to come to your house to look at the chimney. If you later use their services, the money paid is applied to your bill, but why pay for an estimate?

Loreen was very helpful and gave me a lot of good information about what to look for in a chimney sweep. She was very upfront about the fact that it would cost $225 just for them to come and do the evaluation, and I wasn't prepared to pay that just to get an estimate.

WORKERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DID THEIR WORK IN A VERY TIMELY FASHION. HAD ME INSPECT AND MADE SURE I HAD NO QUESTIONS. A LITTLE PRICEY BUT SEEMS TO BE IN LINE WITH THE AREA.

TONY WAS VERY RESPONSIVE. WORK WAS DONE AS PLANNED AND AT QUOTED PRICE. VERY ACCOMMODATING TO ANY AND ALL REQUESTS. A REAL PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. TONY IS A REAL PROFESSIONAL AND IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. SEARCH NO FURTHER IF YOU WANT QUALITY AND RELIABILITY.

VERY CLEAN AND DID A GOOD JOB.

WE WERE TOLD BY EUROSWEEP THAT OUR CHIMNEY NEEDED TO BE REBUILT, OUR HOME INSPECTOR AND ANOTHER CHIMNEY COMPANY DISAGREED. HAD WE GONE WITH EUROSWEEP IT WOULD HAVE COST US TWICE AS MUCH. I DON'T THINK THEY WERE DISHONEST, BUT WOULD RECOMMEND GETTING A SECOND OPINION BEFORE HAVING A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF WORK DONE BY THEM.
