Washed my deck which got the house dirty which they did not bother to rinse. Were to stain and seal the deck, did not sand so there are a lot of patchy areas. Didn't stain down between the cracks so there is still light wood stripes. Many drip marks both on the deck itself and also all over the concrete under the deck. Missed a lot of spots and had to come back twice but never would come back to see how it dried out to see the finished product. They stained the outside of the flower boxes but not the interiors, it looks really bad. The whole deck looks really bad and it wasn't cheap. Really upsetting, it actually looks worse to me now and my house is filthy. It's been 2 weeks and now there are weird stains all over it too. Am still not sure that the gutters were cleaned as contracted as they are still stopping up and pouring over. Was to reattach gutter in the back and did not do that. I don't want them to fix it at this point - I let them know about all these issues and they came back twice but as you can see from images it still looks horrific. I didi ask for my money back on the staining (figuring that at the least they did power wash the deck- even though really my deck looks so much worse than when they started) Nope, just came back and tried to fix it that second time. I am not sure why they didn't sand it. I could have done a better job myself and that's not saying much. My deck is ruined. My response to his response - Re: My response that the deck looked great - #1 - I did not want you back for a 4th attempt. #2 - It had been 3 weeks of being unable to use my deck #3 - You put signs up everywhere telling me not to go on the deck. I couldn't even walk into the back to look at it. So from the one 1/4 section I could look at it looked ok. #4You kept showing up with no notice and I was sick of feeling uncomfortable opening my window with someone there unexpected. - and quot;I know you weren't happy with the first coat so we touched it up then did another coat.and quot; - You missed entire sections and dripped paint everywhere. I have pictures of the first round of your finished product, I will post those too so there's no confusion in thinking that I was being over particular. I think you can agree I was not. I was not expecting miracles but I was shocked at how poor of a job was done. - Re: Not profiting enough off the job- I assume this is in response to my saying I wanted my money back on the staining. I am actually sorry to hear that you barely made money on it. I just wish you'd charged me an amount of money that would have gotten the job done correctly. At this point keep the money, I'd like to wash my hands of this. - and quot;we also washed a lot of green off your house during the rinse for no charge, I noticed you didn't mention thatand quot; - I would have had to notice that to mention it. Right now there's a layer of dirt on my house now so I can't really tell. Thanks for doing that. Once I can get all the dirt off I'll take a look. - “I am willing to correct all issues, but your behavior has been tough to deal with, you have left me nasty messages then when I try to respond, you don't answer back.” Not sure how your difficulty in handling my unhappiness with the job interfered with you doing it correctly. Anyway, I'd agree with you if I read my 1 and quot;nastyand quot; email out of context. I will admit I sent an email where I stated I was unhappy. I'm not sure why you're indicating I sent more than one? Especially after you just wrote in your response what my last email said to you, and it was pretty polite. Context of said “nasty” email----~2/3 weeks after initial work I emailed you saying that the and quot;touch upand quot; that had been done on the deck still didn't look good. I was apologetic for bothering you. I conceded that the deck was large and old and a lot of work for the one guy you sent out to do it. That was too much work for him. So I understood but pointed out the issues so there was no confusion, and included pictures so you could see what I was talking about. You wrote back: and quot;No problem I'll fix itand quot; (An apology from you would have gone far at that point). Then you did not show up or schedule any time. 3-4 days went by with no word. Then I checked my bank account and saw you'd just cashed the remainder of my payment despite the job not being done. So yes I wrote and reiterated that it looked awful. I didn't apologize this time and instead I asked what exactly I was paying for with the money you'd just put in your hand. You'd been a ghost for nearly a week but felt entitled to get paid in full for a job that wasn't finished. You said you had to buy supplies with that money as if I'd not already given you $450 for that. That part though was my own fault for trusting you and handing you that 2nd check before I was able to look at the results. I really should not have done that. Lesson learned. So many lessons learned for me here which is the best I can say about it. And again re: fixing it - I am not interested - you should have checked your work and fixed it the 3rd time you'd came. Especially knowing I was unhappy. Nevermind the fact that you should have fixed it the first 2 times.
Description of Work: Power washed deck, power washed gutters (not sure if completed or done), reattached gutters (1 of 2 completed, other was never done), stained deck.

Response from Casey Power Washing
Hi [member name removed] Im really sorry to see this review as the last message I got from you stated " Thanks Bill the deck looks great" I know you weren't happy with the first coat so we touched it up then did another coat. Your deck was very moldy and hadnt been treated in a very long time. I also explained to you that a semitransparent stain doesnt cover as well as a solid, so many imperfections will show, as it is a very old deck. As for the gutters they have been flushed and cleaned, there are also three screws reattaching the rear gutter to the soffitt. If your down spout has come unattached from the house that can be fixed with a strap. The last thing I said to you was please let me know if there are any issues and I will be happy to address them, you did not respond. To summarize what you got for your $1000.00, two decks with railings powerwashed, one deck elevated directly over the other, the cost for that is $400.00, $150 to my helper, $250 to me. Both decks were stained with 5 gallons of Sherwin Williams stain cost of stain and supplies $200 plus labor $200 paid to Rich my stain guy. I then purchased three more gallons of stain and did another coat my cost $120 for the stain. Total so far $920.00, I also added two straps to your front downspout and three screws to the back to reattach the gutter to the house. So if you subtract the cost of this job, I made a total of $330 to powerwash and stain your two decks and fix your gutters, we also washed a lot of green off your house during the rinse for no charge, I noticed you didnt mention that. My offer to you still stands I will come over to put a new strap on your rear gutter if that is the problem. Also the gaps between your deck boards, I went over them several times with a horse hair deck staining brush, they are very close together and hard to get stain into. Again, I am willing to correct all issues, but your behavior has been tough to deal with, you have left me nasty messages then when I try to respond, you dont answer back. If you chose to ignore my attempts to correct a situation, there isnt much I can do. Take care. Bill Casey Casey Powerwash

Casey was very responsive to our inquires and responded to our email's and phone calls either the same day or the day after. He came over the house after my initial inquiry and provided me with a written estimate in my mailbox which was great. We setup a time for him to wash the house and he was very accomodating. Casey arrived on time and we reviewed what I wanted to do one last time. He then he got right to work and hooked up the water lines to our exterior hose connection and started powerwashing the vinyl siding from top to bottom and then powerwashed the deck. He did an intial wash of the house and then brought out his scrubbing brushes to clean the mold that had begun to develop by the top of the house in addition to the regular dirt and grime that had accumilated. He was working really h****** it and he definitely knew what he was doing. He got up on his ladder to clean the second level of my house's vinyl siding which I assume was to maintain the proper spray angle. Seeing the effort and skill he had reassured me that I made the right decision in hiring him for the job. Once he was done with the house and deck it was like a brand new house. All traces of dirt and mold had been removed. The transformaiton was unbelievable. He even cleaned our front steps and wooden picnic table at no additional charge. We scheduled a few dates out for the deck sealing which took a bit longer then expected but that was because it was dependent on the weather. Seeing the rainwater bead up on our clean deck now is very satisfying. We are very happy with his service and have already recommend his services to friends and family.

Bill provided a quick and thorough estimate and spent time reviewing the prospective job with me. They did an excellent job on my lower roof (moss and lichen) which looks new, plus cleaned the gutters. Then they powerwashed the house including the deck and both sets of stairs. They did an excellent job, great service for the best price. They left everything clean (driveway, patio) and this homeowner pleased.

Ben came out quickly, and provided a written estimate. He called to let us know he was running a bit late, and showed up when he said he would. He did a very thorough job of cleaning the house and even cleaned the front cement steps. Strongly recommended and will call again.

Casey promptly responded to initial telephone inquiry. Made a timely visit and estimate and rescheduled without a problem when I had to cancel the initial appointment. Started work according to schedule and did a very careful job, including some extras. He was very professional, careful, and likeable. I would definitely contact him again for any related work and would recommend him enthusiastically to friends and neighbors.

I hired Bill Casey from Casey Power Wash to power wash my home, in preparation for having it painted. He not only responded to my inquiry the quickest, he also quoted me the best price. Bill did an amazing job prepping the house for the paint job. He also sprayed the roof of my shed, and now it looks like new. He noticed that my patio furniture could use a good spraying so he just did it and it also looks like new (nice touch!). He was on time, diligent and really nice to work with. I would not hesitate in hiring him again, or recommending him to a friend.

There are several key points in the process of working witha contractor that are make or break - timely response to our initial inquiry, a fair and detailed description of the work/estimate, professionalism of the contractor, and quality of the work performed. We left a message for Casey Power Wash and within several hours had a call-back from Bill Casey. We discussed our needs and within 48 hours, Bill had stopped by and left (we were not home) a thorough estimate that gave us options for price and scope of work. He called a day later to follow up and answer any questions. The estimate compared well to others we had received and Bill was by far, the most professional in terms of his demeanor and business practices so we hired him. Bill arrived to do the job when he said he would and worked above and beyond our expectations. Our house has white vinyl siding which had become dingy and discolored with dirt and a moldy substance; we also needed to have our deck cleaned and the windows (especially the second and third floor windows) needed to be scrubbed with a brush and, which Bill agreed to do. Bill worked from early morning until the job was done. Some areas required multiple scrubbings and the windows turned out to be a real challenge. Bill didn't quit until things were really clean. Based on how well the deck turned out, we expanded the job to include sanding and sealing of the deck. When he returned to do the extra deck work, Bill re-washed several windows that he was not satisfied with. Bill is an exceptionally hard worker who takes great pride in the quality of his work. He is very polite and professional in all his dealings and business practices. We have and would recommend Casey Power Wash without reservation. Based on the quality of the work done on our house and our recommendation, two of our friends have hired Bill.
