"The Poison Ivy Guy" and his assistant were awesome. Jim spent quote a lot of time walking our property with us and pointing out the poison ivy and creating a map of the areas to be treated. The came out 3 times to treat. Would definitely use again.

Jim came out shortly after my initial email and thoroughly reviewed the property, explaining what the various ivys were )several were not poiso ivy) and eventually found the patch I had contacted. Because it was a small area, we agreed that it wasnt cost efficient to hire his servcies to get rid of it - but had we needed it I am certain that he'd have been thorough and successful. I highly recommend bringing in The Poison Ivy Guy if you have poison ivy on your property!

Jim did an awesome job taking care of our problem! but what is really key is that he did this for a family for Habitat for Humanity. We were working on a house that needed some critical repairs. An elderly woman who grew up in this home in Westford and wanted to stay there. We needed to do some painting, add a ramp, work on keeping her garage standing but we couldn't even get to the house because the poison ivy was all over and volunteers couldn't work on it. Jim came, conquered the ivy quickly and precisely and did it pro bono! I think that if you're looking for someone to do excellent work - it's always wonderful to know that you are dealing with a good human being who also feels compelled to give back to the community. He was very nice and professional. He arrived when he said he would. He enjoyed explaining the different techniques in eradicating poison ivy and in particular a detailed description of what and how he would go about solving my poison ivy problem. He was very knowledgeable about the product he was using, explaining how it worked on the poison ivy and its affect on neighboring plants. He was able to eliminate any environmental concerns I may have had. He answered all of our questions in detail and offered information that we didn't ask for, only because we didn't think to ask the question to begin with. We walked the property together, with him distinguishing between poison ivy and similar, but not toxic plants. He did not rush through the process, in fact took much more time than I would have expected, knowing that his time is his most valuable commodity.

The Poison Ivy Guy is one of the best tradespeople you will ever employ. He is knowledgeable, courteous, and extremely punctual with visits and communications. His pricing model is simple, uniform, and entirely reasonable. There are few services where a customer can get this much value for the cost.

Back in 2012 I had a massive poison infestation in the areas around the perimeter of my yard. Jim meticulously walks through all the bushes and garden area, documenting every plant he finds, and then individually treats each and every plant. He comes back every year to check that no new plants are coming up, and keeps the poison ivy away. The report is very detailed, and over 3-4 years I have yet to find the stuff or have any issues with the kids or pets. But he finds it and kills it before we do. In the past 2 years I seem to have a horrible infestation of Japanese knotweed (bamboo-like) that we might start treating, that stuff is invasive and grows incredibly fast. (again very well documented by Jim, so I know precisely where the problem is and what the treatment plan will be). If Jim says he can handle the problem, then he will!

Jim carefully measured, assessed and costed out the project. He gave us two options so we could make a decision based on our budget and our strategy. He spent a long time here and was very diligent in ensuring he got it all. It all wilted within a week or two and died within a few weeks. He gave me pointers on how to address it in the future. One year later and we could not see any regrowth of poison ivy which is remarkable because we were infested with it prior to the treatment. We have been able to keep up with the occasional sprout so far. I recommend recommend Jim Byler very very much. He is a man of integrity, works extremely hard to achieve complete eradication of the areas agreed upon, and is very knowledgable about poison ivy and other noxious plants.

Very professional and responsive. HIs technique is very different and we hope it works over time because we did not want to have pesticides near the stream.

He showed up when he was scheduled. And, returned a few times to make sure all the poison ivy was removed. He did a tremendous job!

It went well. Jim is thorough and professional and gave me a good write up summary and sketch in email. I still have hanging vines of ivy and old shoots that need to be cleared, but that is not part of his service. it should be noted that you need to follow up and stay on the poison ivy or it will get spread by birds and such within a year. Jim was also kind enough to cut some other types of climbers like Virginia creepers while he was out there. I would recommend Jim's services. Eradicate poison ivy around the yard and to the property lines on the sides and the stream in the back including ivy growing up at least 1 trees per the attached rough sketch. Ground and bush ivy was treated with a dilute solution of glyphosate with surfactants and water. Ivy growing in trees beyond reasonable reach of the spray was treated by cutting the vines and treating with concentrated glyphosate.1st Treatment on 6/3/20142nd Treatment on 7/8/2014 - Good results from first treatment. Had missed smaller vines on two trees and a vine on another. Slightly more I than I would have expected but all were very visible with the reduced foliage to scan.

Called Lee Cooper the poison ivy guy and he came out and dealt with poison ivy infestation through a wood lot, side lot, and yard. This included poison Ivy vining 60' up choke cherries and maples. Treatment effectively destroyed the poison ivy and it remained gone for going on 2 years.

It was great. The nicest part is that Jim took the time to educate me so I could manage the future occurrences without calling him. Many people would not do that in hopes that customers would call back so they could make more money (a short-sighted view). Jim, however, really is focused on making his customers happy, knowing it will translate into referrals down the road. I would absolutely suggest his service to anybody who has poison ivy on their property.

It went well. The service is guaranteed. They plan on coming back on the spring to remove any poison ivy that wasn't seen first time.

He is very professional and thorough. It will probably need periodic check/ treatment because it manages to come back with time, but I react to it and don't want to accidentally come in contact with it or give it more chance to spread into my flower beds.

Jim showed up at our house and we went all along the property and he pointed out what was poison ivy and what wasn't. From there he presented (on his iPad) the specific locations that needed to be treated. He came up with the estimate and, after speaking with my wife, he was ready to start the 1st round of professional spraying THAT DAY! He does come back a second time for spraying. He was very professional and knowledgable in what he is doing. I would recommend to all.

We had a pretty extensive problem, poison ivy in many different spots. This seemed to do the trick. Of course, I don't yet know how effective the treatment is since the growing season hasn't begun yet, but they offered a strong guarantee of their work and promised to return if the poison ivy does. They were prompt and friendly.

After three to four weeks the poison ivy was mostly irradicated. He sprayed extensively in the section where we had a major problem. He was prompt and did what he said he would do. His demeanor was pleasant. I'm glad I did it.
