I can't say enough about Jim, the owner of Home Solutions. He does incredible work, is extremely neat ( he even takes his shoes off when coming in the house if it is snowing or raining so the floors don't get wet ! )and is very personable. His prices are very fair and he is very responsive and honest with his timetables. He gives honest opinions and suggestions and seems to put the customer's best interests as a priority. So far there isn't anything that he has said he wasn't able to do. We recently moved into a house that needs a lot of work, some small jobs and some more complex ,so I am sure I will be continuing to request his services.

Jim did a terrific job. My deck was a mess. His skills in carpentry and refinishing were above and beyond outstanding. It was such a relief to have Jim as my carpenter due to the high cost of the cedar. I would hire him again in a heart beat. He was meticulous with measurements and clean up and organization. Thank you Angie's List!!

I had my kitchen remodeled completely. Jim took down walls to make it larger. He also weaved my new kitchen hardwood floor into the existing floor to make it look as if it were all one - excellent job! Jim also hired respectful subs to work on various stages of the kitchen. The entire job was completed in a timely manor with minimal intrusion to my family.

Jim was fabulous. He came when he said, was meticulous in prepping and cleaning. He had to change the time on one day and called ahead to tell us. We used a textured type of paint for the wall which was more difficult to apply and when it dried there were a few places that were uneven. Jim came back and redid the wall with no problem. He was not satisfied until we were happy with the results. Jim was polite, punctual and pleasant to have in the house. I will definitely be calling him again to do work for us.

This was a disappointing experience when some one promises to call and be there and then you are yelled at because he did not show up and you called to see when he would come. I am surprised that the other reviewers had good experiences.

Jim provided a detailed description of how he would solve the issues with our siding, flashing, bulkhead and gutter. He worked efficiently and produced excellent results. He performed all tasks except fixing the bulkhead. He was scheduled to fix it on a certain date but never showed. We called and left a message but he never returned our call. His work was high quality but we will not use him again because he did not finish the agreed upon tasks and was highly unprofessional in not even returning our call when he did not show.

A friend had called Jim for me to see if he could do the work I needed. Within a day or two Jim called me directly to offer to come at my convenience to provide an estimate. I was impressed with his eagerness and willingness to work with my schedule. Once we set a time and date, he arrived promptly. He was kind, responsive, and respectful of me, my family, and my home. His assessment was honest, preparing me for both the best case and worst case scenarios. His proposal was highly professional and his estimate more than fair. Within a week, at least two days of work were complete with work of the highest quality. Throughout he maintained his professionalism, concern, and caring. We're looking forward to working on the next job--I plan to have him help me with work both indoors and out. Even my cat liked him!

Jim cam by to hook up my dishwasher and I mentioned my rotted siding. He took a quick trip to Lowes and came back and repaired the trim and siding. I wwill hire him again to do a punch list. Nice guy!!!

Showed up and gave estimate. Started work in 2 weeks completed the job in 2 days. Clean, punctual and quality work. I am going to hire him to do a punch list of little jobs.
