Rats dug a tunnel under out deck, so we hired Ultra Pest. They set up 7 bait stations and come quarterly to inspect/replace the baits. We have been using them for several years. They send e-mail reminder, set up appointment by phone and show up on time. Living in the city, rats are unavoidable, we have not had any serious problem so far with their service. Quite happy.

We contacted them last summer for a carpenter ant problem. Against our usual instinct, we decided to go with the year subscription program - and are we glad we did! In the following months, we had problems with wasps, birds nesting in our porch, and a possible rat den. In each case, they came out right away and took care of the problem. For the wasps, a first attempt didn't solve the problem, so they came back quickly and fixed it. Very thorough and professional. Our only issue has been that the techs don't always show up at the hour they say, which can leave us hanging. But when that happens, we've gotten good results calling the central number.

The tech showed up at 5pm on a Friday, which I appreciated. His day went long, and he did not push me off to the following week. He very thoroughly checked all the areas and laid down traps. I made it clear, though, that I called specifically about the deal and that it said mouse droppings would be vacuumed. Nothing was vacuumed. Nothing was cleaned. All he did by way of cleaning was remove my existing glue traps. Very disappointing. I did receive a follow up email three months later about the bait statins needing to be rechecked, but I was in hospital and unable to reply. iHaven’t heard from them since.

it went very well. Jay showed up 1/2 early which I appreciated. He explained what he was doing. Removed the nest. Sprayed to kill the insects. Got it all down. Cleaned up after he was thru. These guys are great. This was my second call to Ultra Safe. They are great at what they do. Knowledgeable & professional. I hope I don't need them again but if I do it's nice to know they are just a phone call away. What to thank Brandon also who took my call. I like the fact that when you call to make an appointment you don't have to wait for weeks. I called Tuesday & Jay was here on Thursday. They really care about your situation & want to resolve it as soon as possible. I'm glad I found Ultra Safe. It's nice to know they are there when & if I need them.

So disappointed!! I paid for the ant removal service which was one of the more expensive companies. The did not remove the ants as promised. They came out twice and on the third time they wanted more money. They said they would come out as much as needed until the Ants are gone free of charge. Lie Lie Lies! Don't waste your money with these people.

Jeff,the manager of Ultra Safe,exceeded my expectations. He was always prompt and courteous, explaining each step before the initial and follow-up treatments which took several months to complete. He also cleaned up thoroughly after each visit. I’m now moth free,thanks to Jeff.

Technician arrived on time, explained his process and the etomology of termites and wood eating ants, and set to work. Very thorough inspection of the ground and structures, approximately 2 hours. Termites were present in a specific section of wood fencing. Spot underground poison treatment was recommended. Recommendation accepted. Treatment tech came one week later, explained process, set to work. Poison will be effective for 5-10 years. I am pleased with the entire process, and will only know over time if the treatment was effective.

I emailed Ultra Safe (birds had built a nest in the eaves behind the drain pipe). Within 2 hours I had a response. Spoke w/Sue to make an appointment to have them do an inspection. Joe came out to do the inspection within the allotted time (2 hours) which was appreciated. He explained what needed to be done. I scheduled an appointment for the following week. Joe again came within the allotted time. He did a great job explained everything he was doing removed the nest sanitized & sealed the spot so the birds would not return. Joe is very knowledgeable and cares about the work he is doing. I hope I never have a problem like this again but if I do I know who to call ULTRA SAFE they have what it takes to get the job done right the first time. The squirrels were in one exterior wall but they had two entrances. They cleaned out one nest and put one way doors on the entrances. One houdini managed to get back into the one way door but they came when he was out and closed the holes. No problems since.

They came three times to exterminate - never at the time that was originally scheduled. For the 4th visit they were scheduled for 8-10, never showed and then told me they would come 12-2, and I left the door unlocked. They told me they came, but my nanny cam shows no one entered the house. Considering we spend hours prepping for each visit, (laundering, moving furniture) rescheduling is more than an inconvenience. In addition to removing plants and animals and then having them late or no show is very frustrating. I think they are dedicated professionals and try their best but the scheduling, communication and follow up is lacking. We still have bedbugs and are employing another exterminator.

Arrived on time and set dozens of traps. Placed steel wool at possible entry points. Said that all I had to do was call and they would be back. However, afternoon 5 traps sprung in first night, they said I’d need another appointment. Requested earlier re-visit but they wouldn’t come back for 2 weeks. Had to address spring traps myself. For this reason i’m Not very pleased. House would have smelled awefull if I had to wait 2 weeks. Also: DO NOT TELL US YOU WILL COME BACK OUT WHEN YOU WILL NOT!! That should NOT HAVE BEEN. Communicate to us!!!

The Ultra Safe people accurately identified what animals we were dealing with, and came up with a strategy that was 100% effective, quick, and is almost invisible. They put heavy coated hardware cloth all around our porch skirting/lattice (in the ground to a foot deep, and then outward in an L shape), and more inside the lattice so neither digging nor chewing would allow access. They temporarily placed a one-way exit for any critters that might have been inside while they were working. (At least one skunk did exit later, leaving scat on the exit frame.) During the next two weeks, the bunnies made a determined effort to get back in, but they couldn't defeat the barriers. While the weather was still warm they all gave up and made other arrangements we assume. The guys were very knowledgeable and pleasant, and it was easy to work with the company. Service included a two-week followup visit to inspect for effectiveness, do more if necessary (it wasn't necessary) and remove the one-way exit. The cost was daunting, but they really did the job right and it looks like the barriers will give us protection from returning creatures for a couple of years at least. I'm sure the animals were upset, but likely no worse than that.

So far good. When they came back to inspect and collect traps, they found additional points of access (missed by 1st technician). Those were sealed and additional traps laid. They’re due back for a second inspection soon.

I had to finally cancel it. I am not sure how they get such a high rating, maybe they indeed have very good service in other areas. But if you are looking at animal removal service, forget it. That won't worth your time.

They came back 3-4 times and took care of the problem.

The initial appointment went exceedingly well. The gentleman who arrived was on time and prepared for the appointment. He inspected our house, placed traps and bait stations, and blocked potential entry points. He went over his findings with us thoroughly and was very pleasant. However, this is the last time I ever heard from anyone with the company. The package I paid for through Angies List was supposed to include trapping AND removal of mice. Mice were certainly trapped but I had to remove them myself since it had been months without a single follow-up. The package was also supposed to include follow-up visits to ensure the treatment plan was having a positive effect. As I said, they just plain forgot about me after the initial appointment. The same amount of money spent on this visit afforded me 3 treatments for both rodents AND insects per year with one of their competitors previously. While the treatment was effective, the lack of follow-up has left us very dissatisfied with this vendor.

I found this company through Angie's List and contacted them through their website with the link provided on Angie's List. As I did this over a weekend, I did not expect them to contact me immediately but thought perhaps they would contact me sometime within the next few business days. A couple of days into the next week I did see via my caller id that someone from the company had called the number I left while I was out but did not leave a message. Not very professional. If they were unable to do the job I needed done, they should have let me know that was the case even if that meant leaving a message on my voicemail.

At 4:45pm I called to make sure they were still coming as I hadn't heard from them and it was pouring rain outside. The customer service representative said yes, but that he was running late and would be there at 5:30pm. The technician, Jay, arrived at 4:54pm. We spoke a bit and I told him the problems and showed him around the house. He suggested he would look around the house and put repellent down as an extra preventative. All work took place outside of the house. At 5:26pm he said he was done. What? A half hour to ensure my house is sealed against the mice getting in? I also asked him if there was anything I could do to outside for prevention as well as advice for cleaning the mess they had left behind. He answered politely, but I'm guessing it was the end of a long day. He only mentioned stuffing steel wool at an area he felt they were coming in. No mention of repellent. He left some bait with me for the live traps I have (full disclosure: I opted against the snap traps and glue boards, so I am not including those in this review). Three days later, my cats caught another mouse inside, in the front of the house, which was opposite of where the work was done. I have to be honest: I feel like I got ripped off and it's taken me two months to stop being so angry about the situation. I have spoken to friends who used other pest control companies and the work was cheaper and the guarantee was longer (3 months vs. 30 days). I can honestly say I would use someone else in the future.

Fine, he showed up when he said he would and removed the nest.

The job went great. Professional and thorough. Returned 2 weeks later to gather traps.

Well and when I saw other bugs they came back out and sprayed again

Very well. Service was performed in a timely and professional manner.

Everything was done as planned and on time.
