The services provided were exceptional. The 3-man crew were very punctual, arriving 15 minutes early and called ahead of time to verify our location. They took exceptional care in handling our furniture items by blanketing and wrapping them properly. The crew worked very efficiently and safely during their 2 hours at our pick-up location. Once everything was loaded and moved to our new home on the South Shore, they unloaded the furniture items very quickly and efficiently and asked us where we wanted each item to be placed. The entire time, the crew worked with a smile and were very friendly, courteous, caring, and professional. I would recommend this moving service to everyone.

The move went well, I'm unclear if it took longer than it should have though. The big deal was misleading. I was not aware that they would charge me $135 each way for driving fees along with the costly/expensive packing material fees. I originally paid $299 for 3 movers for 3 hours, but in the end I ended up paying $800 total. I felt that once I bought the coupon, that would be the only fees.

I got a coupon on Angies List for Stairhoppers. I contacted the main offce and Diana could not of been nicer and more understanding during a time when you are feeling lots of stress and emotion. She did a great job scheduling the times that best fit our needs - moving from one home to another when one day apart. Everything went sooo smooth as a result of the great customer service and understanding. The movers provided us with extra boxes and assured us that everything was going to fit and be very safe. They took great care of our furniture and fragile items. They were patient with me when I was trying to arrange our bedroom furniture. OVERALL THE EXPEIERNCE COULD NOT OF BEEN MORE POSITIVE. iN FACT WE HAVE A FAMILY MEMBER MOVING AND WE ARE GOING WITH STAIRHOPPER FOR THIS MOVE AS WELLL. THEY CANNOT BE BEAT!!

Everything went perfectly. The guys were fast and courteous. Didn't waste any time and scheduling the date also went effortlessly. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Booking was simple and easy. I used a coupon through angie's list and that was also very easy. They were great about rescheduling when my bank caused issues and our closing was delayed. The movers were incredibly fast, so fast that I thought that there were 4 of them when there were only 3. The price was a bit high compared to my last move, but they also worked a lot faster. So-- I guess they make up for the price with quality.

A couple items were damaged and they were not the nicest people to deal with, possibly because of a very noticeable language barrier on their end. They are certainly not the cheapest movers around. HOWEVER, they did reimburse us for damaged items.

We used Stairhopper movers this past weekend to move from our rental home in Medford to our new home in Westwood. They were fantastic from start to finish. The front office staff was extremely responsive to all questions and requests. The hourly rate was much more reasonable than several other moving companies we contacted. We combined an Angie's Deal with our move and they gave a discount for paying cash at the end, so the price couldn't be beat! The movers showed up early and finished within an hour of their projected time. They reassembled the things we asked them to and nothing was damaged. I really couldn't ask for better service. A+ rating. Highly recommend.

Movers arrived on time(a bit early even), accessed the amount to be moved, and began work. They were very profession and nice. They worked quickly, efficiently, and carefully. They disassembled and wrapped all large pieces of furniture. Nothing broke during the move. Overall I was very satisfied with Stairhopper. A few items to note: They quoted me $750 based on the worksheet I filled out on their website. The total came to over $1400. As I said, they worked as fast as was reasonable. So I bring this up only so others aren't taken by surprise. It was very difficult to estimate the amount of stuff prior to moving day. Remember they will charge $20 for each large appliance and you will also pay for tape and supplies(mattress covers). I paid $50 for supplies. Used the Angie'sList coupon to save $50 and paid cash to save another 5%. I would recommend Stairhopper.

From start to finish, the customer service was amazing. I asked for a quote and Diana was very prompt in responding, answering all questions I had and setting up and confirming the appointment. We hired 3 movers with a 24 foot truck. They arrived 30 mins earlier and Sebastian, the main point person, was highly professional, very courteous and all of the 3 movers were fast in putting in our belongings into their truck in about 2 hours. They unloaded the truck in a little over 2 hours in the new house. They did the entire move under the estimated time! I would hire them again and I've already recommended their services to 2 other people!

I got a quote and set up my moving date over the phone a couple weeks in advance. The day before my move I got a call from the office saying they needed the pick up and drop off locations. I thought I would have given that to them already, or that they would make sure they had the address further in advance, but the evening before the move, they called and said they needed the info ASAP. I emailed the address, no problem, that was fine. On the day of the move, they showed up toward the beginning of the time window. The move went well. The guys we nice, professional, and careful with my things. They charged me for an hour longer than I expected, but I was relieved to have the move over with and it was still a reasonable sum compared to other moving companies, so I went with it. On another day I might have asked more questions and negotiated. When I booked the move, they said I probably only needed 2 guys, but they would send 3 anyway. They also estimated that my move would take less than the 3 hour minimum because I didn't have much furniture, and they said my location was pretty close to where the trucks leave from. Only two guys showed up, and there was traffic getting to the new place, so it took the full 3 hours - plus the time to get two/from their location. So the bill ended up being 4 hours, and at the rate they had quoted for having 3 guys... I was glad to be done and paid without thinking at the end. But if you use them, it wouldn't hurt to ask more questions than I did and to negotiate the rate if you have a similar experience.

I wish I could give Stairhoppers more then five stars or A rating! Its so hard in Boston area to find service companies that are good AND honest, Stairhoppers seems to have found all the competent and trustworthy employees in the city ;))) From the dispatcher to the movers, everyone was helpful, patient, real pros and did more then required. They have the magic touch for a fast easy move. I messed up a little planning things out and Aadrian helped me work through it by putting some things in storage for a month at Stairhoppers. Nest time I move I already know who I'm calling. Thanks a bunch guys!

They wrapped EVERYTHING very well then moved it. Only one of the three men on the job spoke english well enough that I could provide instructions easily (could recall nothing from my Russian language class) about where I wanted the furniture to be placed. It was an extremely hot and humid day, so that made the frustration for me more heightened as one of us frequently had to find the boss to translate.

I bought an Angie's List Deal, only to find out that they could not accommodate me on my preferred date. Then on the date that we did confirm, the movers were late (meanwhile, I am paying for the time they are sitting in traffic). Once they arrived, they were fast with loading the truck. I told them that I did not need the furniture wrapped or the mattresses bagged (even though there was a lot of pet hair), but they did it anyway (and then charged me for the materials). There was some damage to the paint on the doorways as they tried to manage moving large furniture out of a small apartment. They were more careful with moving the stuff into the new house, which was much appreciated. Moving is a horrible experience, so I am grateful for being able to hire someone to assist. It's a tough job. The crew was very nice and friendly and worked very hard. I would recommend them more favorably if I lived closer to their headquarters (thereby paying less since you have to pay for all travel time to/from their headquarters).

Stairhoppers helped me out of a real pickle. The first movers I chose canceled on me with less the 24 hours notice, I called Stairhoppers on the advice of my Mom and they were able to meet my original schedule. They didn't charge me an arm and a leg or try to hot me with rush fees or whatever. Major points in my book. Service was outstanding and Ricky, Levon and Patrick were very able to deal with a customer going through a lot of stress (me). Not eager to move again anytime soon but when I do I know who to ask for help. Thanks.

I moved from a small apt. to a house next town over. They were great! They helped me get rid of my old bed and sofas and move my furniture to my new place. Since it took less time than needed (I do not own that much), they gave me a credit since it took like than 3 hours (the deal was for 3 hours). I couldn't be happier with the service and the results! I will definitely use them again!

They called me to schedule right away. The movers were prompt, friendly, professional, and efficient. They asked me where each box/item went as they unloaded which made unpacking much easier. I would definitely recommend them!

The initial move went extremely well.

They moved me out of the apartment very quickly and efficiently however, when we got to my new home the problems began. The problem was they were unable to get my queen size couch into the house. Understandably it was big and the entry options were limited. Eventually they took front window glass out and got the couch thru the window. Great job or so I thought until I saw the damage caused from all the attempts of getting the couch in. There was damage caused to a door frame and the window frame. I called Stair hoppers to put in a claim. They did not take responsibility for the damage and tried to offer me $35 for the damage. Really? I called back a second time. This time I was offered $80 and was told that was the most the would cover. I told them the damage were far more than their offer but they were not interested in hearing it. I reluctantly took their offer but can say would NEVER use them again. The saying goes, "you get what you pay for" and it did!! Once last thing, one of the movers had seen that I had an iPhone 5. At that time it was the hottest iPhone. I told him it was my office phone not my phone. He had the nerve to ask me if I would sell it to him. I didn't agree and he went on to say, why not, it's not mine and that I could make money form the sell. I found this conversation to be very unprofessional

I expected and paid for 3 dudes to do the heavy lifting, they brought 4 and that meant things went so much quickly. That also means the job was cheaper for me because it came in less time. That's new one from a Boston mover?!?!?! They filled up and then took down a middle- size truck in few hours. You now who got a nice tip? The Stairhopper guys got a nice tip. Without a doubt the best of experience for moving I ever had

We were very happy with the experience. They arrived right on schedule, did an excellent job of packing and loading the items --some pictures, some furniture, and delivered everything just as professionally to the new storage facility. There are no lengthy details because everything went so smoothly.

After looking for local moving companies exhaustively, I chose Stairhopper....great reviews, good pricing, friendly office stuff....for a Back Bay to Charlestown move. With lots of furniture that needed to be broken down and reassembled and 4 levels/staircases, I was hoping just to endure. The short version of an 8-hour story: Stairhopper Movers arrived on time, gave 100% effort, all wile remaining polite and conscientious, and got everything done without any disasters or even any real problems of any sort. My fiancé and I planning part 2 of the move within months, and we look forward to using Stairhopper again. 10* from this very happy customer.
