Moving is always a big pain in the a** but Stairhopper Movers made this one more then just tolerable. These guys really proved to me that professional movers are not just a necessity that you grudgingly allow for, but can add expertise and accomplishment to your move that would otherwise be missing. Their attention to detail wrapping and packing my things ensured nothing was damaged, including the apartment I was leaving and my new house. They took care of my things very nicely. The move was across Boston, up to Boxford, and everything was done in under 6 hours, and I have a fair amount of stuff. Three guys really hustled. Wonderful experience, thank you very much!

These guys were prompt, neat, and willing to tackle the few things I hadn't prepared them for. The only thing that could have been better was a more complete intake interview since they didn't bring many boxes with them. Otherwise stellar

We moved a lager 5 pieces King bedroom set from Sterling MA to Bedford , MA and it just cost way too much because there were 2 small sized men who did the move and it took them twice as long to move our bed set.

The crew showed up right on time, wasted no time getting to work, and had one bedroom apartment loaded in only 1.5 hours, we did all the packing, but still that shows they don't waste time. Got to Middleton and the unloading was just as quick, and very careful not to scuff the walls or damage our items. Stairhoppers did right by us. Thanks.

I actually used Stairhoppers 2 years ago for my long distance move to Boston, I just saw them here and had to comment because the service was excellent. I had tons of drama and they rolled right over every obstacle: getting street permits, having the right insurance for my building and working with them about access, all the little logistical details that are needed to lock down a big move. On top of being professional and detailed oriented, the guys were really nice and hard working and always looking for little ways to make things easier, more than anything else, those are the things that stand out and set Stairhoppers apart as a service provider. Horror stories and more horror stories, that's all I hear from friends and family about interstate moves! Now its my turn to move from Boston to NYC and I was dreading it but also knew I couldn't handle it on my own, so I trusted in recommendations and reviews and chose Stairhopper Movers. Diana helped me schedule everything, make arrangements and told me how to get ready for the movers. It was just a smooth, no-nonsense operation that when it was done I was like " That's it? We're already done?'' Easy-peasy, I recommended Stairhoppers (like everyone else).

If I could rate a six out of 5 overall I would. Communication up front with the home office was excellent and the approach to Angie's List discount was explained. The movers had a problem with truck BUT called ahead and told me so I could adjust. The three person team were simply outstanding. Working as a team, letting me know when additional costs would be incurred in advance (which were minimal and reasonable for supplies), etc. I kidded them that they didn't understand how "by the hour" works since they rarely, if ever, took a break. Sabin (the foreman) and his team were the most professional (and pleasant to work with) group of guys I have encountered in recent memory. I highly recommend them- in fact already have to a couple of colleagues / friends who were moving.

Wow, we just spent most of 9 straight hours with Mike, Tommy, Carlos and Ben clearing out three separate storage units and one house in Boston and moving them to another house in Arlington, with the guys taking a select few pieces and boxes back to Stairhoppers for storage. All I can say after all of that is AWESOME!!! This was a huge endeavor with a lot of "' moving parts" as they managed to not only keep everything straight but also pack, load, and unload our things with care. It was a long process but everything was done flawlessly and safely, which would have been impossible for us without help. We would recommend them to anyone looking for quality service instead of just the lowest price.

I used Stairhopper Movers to move some furniture from our house to my daughter's new place in Quincy, the small things and boxes we could handle ourselves but we needed professionals for the big stuff. The guys arrived on schedule (after a phone all giving us an hour notice of their arrival), were nice, and combined speed with careful handling of our large items. Wayne and Andre were great! I've done small moves like this in the past and this was one of the best experiences. I will definitely use Stairhoppers again and I've already recommended them to Boston friends who need assistance with a move. Thank you!!!

Mover did all things as advertised with "NO" surprises on the bill with either move. Their were some minor scrathes on items but no real damage. In my (6) moves I have never had something that wasn't broke or damaged to the point of needing repair. I have just finished unpacking and not (1) item broke or in need of repair. Friendly crew. Would definitely recommend.

We were very pleased with the service. The three movers were fantastic, kind, and patient with us. They were very gentle with all our possessions and moved everything perfectly. They even took the time to move a king-sized mattress we had delivered separately to the new home up the stairs for us. The stairs had very low overhead and it was very tight, but they managed and got everything where it needed to go. I could not recommend this group more. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I canceled my contract with another mover over to use Stairhopper Movers. They are priced wonderfully competitively and are always able to accommodate my individual requests or circumstances. I usually request Tommy and Carlos be part of the team because they are smart, efficient and kind, but I've never had a problem with anyone else on their team. Their mindset is to always solve problems and get the job done. It's difficult to find a moving company that is reliable, dependable and consistent in their ability to meet demanding needs, but Stairhoppers has never failed me. I look forward to continuing to use them in the future.

Stairhoppers were great and I am very happy we used them for our move. They arrived when they said they would. The price quoted was the price we paid and they delivered everything in good shape. The movers that picked up our stuff were great! We trusted them completely and they worked really hard getting out stuff out - The movers used to bring our stuff in - were very nice, but seemed a little less dedicated to their work. They were careful and helpful, but when it came time for them to set things up, it wasn't done because they wanted to, but because we asked - really, that is just a small complaint and in the end we were very happy with everything. Diana was amazing and she really helped alleviate some of the normal moving stress. Make sure you understand all of the charges - we thought we understood everything, but turned out, we didn't! I can't really blame them as much as us for not asking the right questions. For a cross country move, I can't complain. You hear so many nightmare stories about moving and for us, this was one of the easiest part of our movies.

I had a really small moving job, just an over sized piece of furniture from a consignment shop to my apartment in Arlington. The work with Adam and nick from Stairhoppers was prompt, polite and diligent. This wasn't all about brawn, they took a smart approach to moving furniture that was respectful of not damaging either the furniture or my home. The guys were outstanding at getting this small job done, and not at an inflated price. They checked to make sure I was satisfied with placement and that everything was okay. I would definitely use them again.

I've used Stairhoppers multiple times for Boston moves, mostly recommending them to clients. I've never heard a bad word about their service and my own first hand experiences have been excellent. Adrian is always highly responsive and easy to deal with, and most importantly the movers have been consistent in punctuality, professionalism and energy. I've never had a single problem and in fact they've been problem solvers on occasions for clients, including figuring out the best way to get heavy furnishing down large amounts of stairs. The move went extremely well. Two movers showed up on the early end of the window they had provided, after texting their anticipated arrival time to my daughter. They professionally and efficiently loaded the apartment furnishings and boxes into the truck, boxed the few items my daughter had not boxed (such as lampshades) and carefully wrapped all furniture. The next morning, three people arrived at the Boston apartment at the earliest time in the window they had provided. They very efficiently moved everything three stories up an extremely narrow staircase, managing to get even the two large items I was worried would not fit around the corners of the stairs into the apartment without hitting walls or the doorframe. They removed the door to the apartment to ensure that nothing would be damaged. They did all this without any delays even though the space reserved for them was taken (so that the police had to called to free up a space on the street for them). They then assembled all the furniture before leaving. They had been paid half the fee on leaving Wilmington and the other half when the work was done. The cost was exactly as quoted (other than a tip, which was deserved. I would definitely use the services again. I was concerned about the move at the Boston end, given the narrow Boston streets and narrow staircase to the apartment. But everything went very smoothly due in large part to Stairhopper's professional services.

The guys were excellent. Showed up, 3 of them, went right to work. No chit chat, no standing around. No talking amongst themselves for fun. They did an excellent job taking care of each item. Offered help in reassembling things. Did not use any equipment. Everything by hand. My only questionable thing was we were told they would be at my house between 8 and 830. They called me at 730 and said they were in front of my house. I was on my way. They did tell me they start the block the minute they leave their shop. When they showed me the bill they started billing from 7 am. That didn't feel right since it's about 15 to 20 minutes to my house from their shop. So maybe they overbilled (in my mind for 40 minutes). But this issue is minor compared to the overall outstanding experience of dealing with them.

I'm never going to try to move my own again! I was really knocked over by the hard work and positive attitude that the guys from Stairhoppers showed me. Jason and Andre were animals getting a sectional up and down 3 flights of stairs and they wrapped it so good they didn't even get sweat all over it or scuff it up. Mike was the box master who could stack them 3 high and still manage them all by himself. These guys busted out my move from Boston to Brighton 5 hours flat, and I have a good amount of stuff (enough so that I used Stairhoppes storage to hold some things that wouldn't fit in the new place. Thanks for attacking that job guys, huge recommendation!

I think they did a very good job but it obviously took much longer than anticipated. They needed to move the apartment contents from the apartment on the second floor to a loading dock on the ground floor. Some of the goods were going to my home in Dorchester and the remainder to Boomerangs in JP. Boomerangs wouldn't take some of the items so they had to return to Dorchester to place them in my garage. They really did do a great job.

It was okay. We had a little bit of an issue. We had to call Angie's List to negotiate. It was about the promised discount. It was something about their ad had expired and it wasn't good anymore. It was set straight and their service seemed to be okay. There were additional charges. It was good for three hours and then we paid whatever additional beyond that. It was probably another two or three hours. They were punctual.

Purchased the $299 deal for 3 movers and a 24 ft truck. Scheduling was easy, and we were able to get a move date on a Saturday only a week and a half out. The office followed up with emails both right after booking, and the day before the move. All communications were very clear with their office, and they honored the deal in full without any questions. We were scheduled for a 3-5PM move time, and the movers contacted me at about 12:30PM saying they could meet earlier if we wanted. The 3 guys were excellent and moved incredibly quickly. They were extra careful as some walls had wet paint on them. In total, they only took a little over 2 hours for the move (plus 1 hour total travel time for them), so aside from the deal I only paid about $36 out of pocket. Great guys, would definitely recommend.
