I was so impressed with Stairhoppers, they exceed all my expectations for moving. They were gentle and courteous with my bedroom furniture. The 3 movers who did the job arrived on time and ready to drive in, starting out wrapping and packing the largest furniture and moving on to wardrobe boxes, boxes and everything else. They were truly a pleasure to deal with. And all this was cheaper then most of the other quotes I received. Stairhopper Movers completely de-stressed my moving experience and made it not as horrible as usual. I would use them again.

We were very pleased with Stairhoppers - the three guys who came had an excellent attitude and were very friendly. They were punctual and efficient and patient. The people I talked to in the office were also very professional. They helped make the day much less stressful than it could have been.

Very professional, very fast. Moving team of three showed up a little early, finished two hours earlier than expected - making it less expensive than we were quoted. Everything arrived in great shape. The team performed the whole move while it was 5F outside. Office is very responsive to email, making the whole process very easy. Highly recommend, will use again if the need arises.

The three-man crew of Mike, Andrew and Christian were in a word - Excellent. They worked extremely hard and were extremely careful when handling our furniture. I had to beg them to take a coffee break. This was a long day as included in the loading and unloading was a three-hour drive. We were downsizing so we went from a three-bedroom home to a two bedroom apartment. All in all, we may have kept a tad too much for our new place so it was more like moving a two and one half room apartment. Some of you may be scared off from the price but it was very reasonable. Much of the cost was in travel. We paid for their time traveling to our home, from the home to the new location and then their travel back to their location. We liked that Stairhopper charges a flat hourly rate and does not hit you with lots of extras. We did have to pay a small amount for materials on items we had failed to wrap, but these prices were no more than we would have paid at a retail store. Years ago when we moved into what is now our former home, the company came out, looked things over and gave an estimate. When all was said and done, we were almost double the estimate. Not this time. We estimated the load-in time, unload time and travel time and it came to just what we figured. I can't recommend this company highly enough.

We purcased the 3 movers and a 24 foot truck for 3 hours for $315. All 3 movers were professional, thoughtful, courteous, STRONG and they worked every minute they were there. Crew chief was on top of everything. If he had any questions he sought me out. I didn't have to stand over them which wad great because I still had things to do. They were magicians when packing the truck and storage facility. It was a little complicated because we had to keep our things separate from our son's. I kept things separate by using blue tape on my son's things and in a different room. But there were other things I hadn't gotten to and they ran everything by me. We quickly established a code for blue items and they carried around a roll of blue tape to mark everything. They packed the truck so when we got to storage unit his things would be in front since he' ll need them sooner than us. They were so careful and helpful keeping things organized for us. I really appreciated their positive attitudes even when we were a bit flustered. Diane in the office was also very helpful and professional. We had to change our moving date and it was no problem. She explained the deal, their fees and services and their policies. I had no surprises. I am going to hire them to move our son "blue" into his apartment and the rest of our things to our NH house.

I've only lived in apartments the past 15 years and i've moved several times. My most recent move was the first time I used Stairhoppers and now I'll use them every time. Customer service from Mona through phone and email was exceptional. Jason and Will handled the move itself, getting me moved from Boston to Cambridge inside of 7 hours. They were remarkably efficient and helpful. All furniture was wrapped carefully as if they were their own. Not a single item broken or damaged, the first time that's been managed in all my moves! I'm very satisfied with their service and I'm certain I'll be using them again.

We took advantage of a deal: $299 for a 24 Foot Moving Truck and a 3 Person Crew for 3 Hours. The booker made sure to mention that the crew would stay as long as requested at further charge. The crew worked hard for all nine hours. It would have been helpful if they had said "your job is significantly larger than a three hour job," but they company did honor the particulars of the deal, and based on other Angie's List reviews I felt I had fair warning.

They showed up on time and worked very hard. A very good experience. We would recommend them.

Very, very pleased, like extremely pleased. Fast , through, and very safe with our stuff. These kids worked their hardest on a very cold day to move my father into a third story apartment (with an elevator, so that part was easier for them) and were courteous and understood what a big deal it was for him to move. They asked where to place items, were patient listening to his instructions, and just a pleasure to deal with. Their overall demeanor was really what defused a lot of stress out of this move, much appreciated. Thank you for the great experience.

They did an amazing job. They came on time, packed EVERYTHING, and moved it to my new home. I must also say that the weather was very uncooperative, but they were very pleasant anyway. I would highly recommend this service.

They did a great job. I purchased a Big Deal with Angie's List for a three person crew for three hours. They had three guys do the job and they were fast. I was satisfied with what they did. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. The only thing is that I felt misled about the deal I purchased and didn't realize that the three hours of moving service started right when they left their own building to my house and I feel this should've been specified a bit more beforehand.

The movers were fast and efficient. They wrapped furniture items to protect them from damage. They had to move stuff from a third floor apartment to a new third floor apartment. They also had to lift a large sofa up over the outside porches to the third floor since it wouldn't fit in the stairway. Everything was moved and set up without damage. Price was very reasonable for the effort.

Stairhopper Movers did a terrific job. Their team showed up early and got right to work. They helped us get everything effectively loaded out, and in some cases helped us improve on our mediocre furniture-wrapping work to make sure everything would be transported safely. Our belongings were transported safely to our new home and the freshly-refinished floors were protected by mats they put down. Essentially everything wound up in the right place and the job was done on time and well. Customer service was great throughout via email and phone, the team was friendly and helpful, and we had a pleasant moving experience.

The scheduler, Diana, was very prompt in contacting us in order to schedule the move date. She was very accommodating and helpful. She also sends a confirmation email which is gives you an overview on what your move covers and itinerary details. Our 3 movers showed up right on time and got to work right away. They were able to pack our entire 2 bedroom plus basement apartment, including many heavy items: pull out couch, treadmill, etc. The movers had it all packed in under 2 hours. They were just as efficient with the drop off, taking approximately 2 hours to unload everything.

They were professional and excellent at making things fit into a pod. They worked efficiently and fast. Very cooperative with our requests. I would hire them again and tell my family and friends about this company.

My experience with them went okay. The travel time was a big factor, which cities they had to travel from and to. There is only one way to get there, on one road, and I'm sure it was crowded. Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween eve is very, very congested with traffic. I don't know if that was it or not, but they said it took five hours. I was a little disturbed by the fact that it was so much money, but there was nothing I could do about it. She got a little curt with me because I was asking questions. They charged me $10 for the mattress covers and they were my mattress covers. They also never gave them back. They charged me for the use of containers to wrap things up a little better than what it was. They charged me for a lot of different extras that weren't written out.

Stairhopper Movers were the most professional, punctual and courteous moving service I have ever used, right from the start of the quote to the time they deliver our home goods. We moved from Marblehead, MA to San Jose, CA and they made sure this cross country move was painless and stress-free. We interacted with Diana for scheduling the move and she was very helpful and clear on what needed to be done. The movers, Storo and his team, arrived 5 minutes early than scheduled for the pick up and got to work right away. We had a 3 BR home and they loaded the truck with great care and speed! Within 2 hours, the truck was loaded and they were on the way. At San Jose, CA, they arrived in 5 days, as promised and also 15 minutes early than promised. I don't think any mover does that... Overall, excellent experience, very much compares to the cost of Van Line companies and the best part- peace of mind because we are the only load on their truck. Also, the person who picks up, shows up at the destination. Some other positives: 1. The quote is a binding quote - so no squabbles at pick up or drop off. 2. The team is extremely professional and always have a smile on their face. They take their customers seriously. 3. The team takes care of our home stuff with great attention. They wrap things so well that nothing broke! 4. They are quick - they took about 2-3 hours to load, 2 hours to unload and assemble; 5 days for cross-country move. 5. They don't waste anything - usually the movers waste so much tape and moving boxes. Stairhoppers re-used things as much as possible. 6. Reasonable quotes - although their quote is like 5% higher than others, but I didn't mind it at all after the fantastic service the provide. Overall, highly recommend Stairhopper Movers without reservation.

Stairhopper movers are the best movers hands down. The professionalism is outstanding and their attention to details is unmatched, which is how they deliver service better than anyone else. I've used Stairhoppers several times, including few days ago helping a client move to Andover and they never fail to impress. They loaded up the storage unit and set up a 2-bd apartment in under 6 hours. No problems, fast and they don't gouge you on rates or apply hidden fees at the end. Trustworthy service is hard to find from movers, I'm going to stick with Stairhoppers every time.

Despite a slightly longer and unexpected wait for the start time, Stairhoppers will totally deserves A rating. The movers were friendly, polite, careful and fast. Doubly impressive: they used some very careful and creative packing techniques to get everything into the truck and save us on having to rent separate storage pod. I couldn't believe when they were finished nearly an hour ahead of schedule, leaving me some much needed time at the end of the day. The prices were reasonable and I'm glad i didn't accept the lowest bidder. I recommended Stairhopper Movers.

I had the unfortunate luck to have to move five times in the last nine years because of work relocations, so I'm experienced in what goes into a successful move. I've had okay experiences and I've had giant messes, but my most recent move with Stairhoppers was the first exceptional experience. Thank goodness for this company! I had minimum expectations: just be on time and show a semblance of care packing and loading my things. These guys did all that and then demonstrated extra care not to damage anything, including carpets and walls. it's amazing to have found a moving company that actually cares about the customer's experience. Thank you to the entire crew and behind the scenes stuff who handled scheduling and details. i'll b using them again for my next move.

I was thoroughly impressed with how quickly they moved. I had expected that they would take longer than the time I had allowed. However, these 3 guys hustled. I was expecting them to take all the time in the world and extend beyond the contract - but that was not the case. I will have to move more items in the future and will definitely hire them again.

I never wrote one of these reviews but I feel like it's needed after today the great service I got from stairhoppers movers. This was my first time moving to Boston from NYC and James, Carlos and Greg handled it perfect. Moving from a 3 floor walkup so you know these boys busted a sweat to get the truck loaded. Not any fun but they did everything with no complaints and not waiting around watching the clock tick. They had the place cleared out in 3 hours and the nice 5-5.5 hours to Boston. Everyone was very nice. Unloading happened even quicker and now my things are where they belong. Pretty easy move and I was expecting a nightmare, but it never happened. Great work.

Professionals! What a difference they make instead of trusting a van line national company like we did on our previous move. The immediate differences I notice using Stairhoppers for my recent interstate move to MA were: - Flat rate per truck and not per weight -No surprises -No scratched up furnishing - Nothing broken or caved in because something too heavy was stacked on top of it -No looking over and seeing a couple of people goofing off wile one person does all the work - No getting lost on the way to the new place Thank you Stairhoppers for a real moving experience.
