Needed a home security system for my daughters home. I saw a SimpliSafe advertisement and was intrigued by the low-cost yet complete security alarm system it offered. I did some research and it seemed like a very good organization. I bought the entire package online. It arrived about a week later in one box. My daughter and I spent a couple of hours setting it up in her home. It was remarkably easy and effective. There were a few questions. We called their support and got the questions addressed very quickly. Overall, this is an extraordinary step forward in home security – easy to install by yourself and amazingly inexpensive!

Ongoing issues that cannot be resolved. I've spent HOURS on the phone with them. We've replaced base stationS and I've moved it all over my house. I have sensors that do not work. The keypads tells me sensors are open, but when I check online, it indicates everything is OK. I still have items that do not work. Multiple false alarms. No one returns phone calls. I WANT A REFUND. I DO NOT WANT TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN AND WAIT ON HOLD ENDLESSLY. Simplisafe is the worst.

The system was easy to install and there was help available if we needed it. There were tutorials and pages online to reference, but we didn't even need those. Simple to set up online account with auto pay. I love that everyone in our house has their own code to get in. We can go to our online account and see a breakdown of all alarm usage and can tell when our kids came home when and when they left again. Great product!

Perhaps I am not as computer savvy as everyone else here, but clearly if you buy the system you are already someone who thinks you can do this. The advertising is misleading...15 minutes... it is not intuitive at all. I called the call center and someone named Bahrain, clearly not in America and not able to empathize nor help was totally unable to help me and told me there is no one that they can send me to to help me with the installation and no list to refer me to either. His suggestion was that I go a Best Buy store and ask an employee there to come to my house. What a crazy idea! And I didn't buy it there in the 1st place! Further, apparently no one has ever called -- ever -- with any installation difficulties and wanted assistance from another human being. If you are like me and when your Wi-Fi or computer breaks, it is somewhat of a challenge to restart it, I suggest going elsewhere.

I called about every security company I could find. Several local contractors came to our home to do a security assessment and provide quotes. All of their prices and proposals for equipment, installation, and 24/7 offsite monitoring were quadruple the cost of SimpliSafe for the same level of quality and service. One local quote was over $3,000 for equipment and installation + $35/mo for monitoring of all systems. SimpliSafe cost us $500 for a large variety of equipment, they use the nationwide #1 rated monitoring company (C.O.P.S.) at a cost of $15/mo, which is a better choice than the other regional company at over double the price! SimpliSafe equipment is state of the art and EFFORTLESS to install yourself! Their customer service is EXCELLENT and if you run into a snag they will patiently walk you through trouble-shooting and immediately send any required upgrades or a trade out of the cellular provider that works for your area. T-Mobil doesn't work where we live, so we received a Verizon symcard in 2-day mail. Their wireless system is as simple or complex as you choose and you can custom design the type of equipment you need, easily adding other components later if necessary. This beats tearing up your house installing a hard-wired security system of which the telephone wires can easily be CUT. Our SimpliSafe system works like a charm and our family and home are protected. It's a no-brainer and a necessary investment as the world spins out of control....

State of the art wireless equipment. Easy to install. Works like a charm for an incredibly reasonable price as compared to other security companies. #1 rated security monitoring company and charges only $15 per month service fee for 24/7 monitoring. This experience was great! I was sick of the service that went along with a 3 year contract with security monitoring systems. I picked what I needed through Simplisafe and shortly after, I received my order in the mail. I set everything up with the help of a representative over the phone. It was easy. You can also set it up yourself on your computer. I also let them know that I was referred by an existing customer, and I and the customers that referred us received a free month. If you do the math, you will still save regardless of the cancellation fee from your existing 3 year contract company.

Easy to install and set up. Simply Safe has good customer service. Simply safe is a good alarm system. It works well. The Siren is loud. The only thing I'd like to see changed is to upgrade the door chimes. They are very hard to hear, even 20-30 feet away. I'd like to be able to hear the chime alerts from anywhere in my average sized home. I had to go to home depot to buy separate door chimes that I could hear .

Installation of components is easy. Monthly monitoring is only $15 with no contract. I'm so happy with the monitoring service that we installed another system in our vacation home. We've used Simplisafe for 4 years now. The cost of the components is well worth the savings on a monthly/yearly basis. I like that it isn't dependent on a landline phone. Verizon modules are available at no extra charge when needed for reception. The dedicated cellular connection is built into to the base station and is included. Simplisafe is as good as the big companies with contracts.

We've been very happy with our service.The way it works is you order the component and you put it in yourself, we were previously with ADT which is a paid for company that comes and installs everything. And since part of the reason why SimpliSafe makes them as good as they are is they send you everything and it's super simple to put it in yourself and you're saving hundred of dollars to do it yourself and the monitoring fees are much less than what other companies as well. We pay $14.99 for the services. And I want to say with ADT we were previously paying $38.99 for the very same services. It was shipped out and here within a few days, it was very quick. Very customer friendly, any questions you have are answer online, very quick to response. Staff are friendly and helpful. There's nothing quite like it. Quality wise that you can get for the same price is a tremendous value.

Overall the experience was very good. I ran into some bad sensors (4) which were replaced with little hassle and replacements arrived without prior need of defective units. To SS defense, my package was a refurbished set. My recommendation would be to spend the extra to buy new, if the time is a concern. Install itself was very easy and customer service was top notch.

The only negative has been that a few of the command strips used to hold on the sensors have released, causing the sensor to fall. We also had a lithium battery go bad. I think if we had called Simplisafe, they would have sent us new ones, however we just replaced all of it ourselves.
Description of Work: We ordered a custom system from Simplisafe and set up ourselves. The monthly 24/7 monitoring is only $14.99 . We've been very pleased.

Overall quite well. Only problem I had was with sending a test signal for activation. I called the company and they sent out a new set of rechargeable batteries and charger for the base station. That fixed the problem. A helpful note if your alarm stops connecting to the monitoring station just disconnect from AC and take the batteries out. Put the batteries back in and reconnect the AC. That should correct it. We have been pleased with monitoring station response.

Purchase went smooth. Shipped as said. Installation was easy. The only drawback to the system, in my opinion, is that the keypads are too small, which makes them difficult to see and operate. Hence my "B" rating.

I started to use them June of 2016. I haven't had really any issues and if I did it was addressed. I had a little issue in the beginning where a sensor went off but they fixed it. It is self installation, you don't pay anyone to put it in. They responded, there was no issue with them at all. The contact I've had, and its just been over the phone. They've been very professional, every one I spoke to wasn't like who did you speak to and then one says one thing and one says another, that really gets me aggravated. They knew what they were doing and I got my answer. For the price, I will continue to use them. Other places similar I've paid $50 a month and nothing but aggravation, I can't go wrong.It has worked and when it didn't work with The sensor issue, they fixed and made sure I was satisfied. This is great because their is no contract, you can leave the next day. The other one I was in a 5 year contract and I was like I am never going to do that again. I don't need a super duper system but i feel better that i have something. It's more of a peace of mind.
Description of Work: This is the kind where you add whatever you want. You build your own custom made system. I got the basic system, but it covers what I need.
