Self installation was easy. Configuration done on computer. All sensors work perfectly. Alarm service calls within 20 seconds (usually more like 10 seconds) when alarm is triggered. Very affordable. Will continue to use, and I plan to add more sensors. I like that there's not a long-term contract.

It's pretty good. I liked it. There were a few things which I didn't like. I think overall it was pretty good. I installed it myself. The alarm has no volume. You wouldn't know if it's on or off. I can't get any volume to move to look at the keypads that are installed in the house. I had false alarms twice and the cops came but there was nothing. They call me and when I don't pick up the phone, they call the cops. I gave the wrong password. It was close but it wasn't the same. It didn't give me a chance. They called the cops as soon as possible. Those are the two downsides but other than that, it was okay. The price is good. They don't have alarms for the garage.

I've had a SimpliSafe system for about a year and a half. The system was very affordable, customizable and easy to install. The equipment is sturdy but not particularly attractive. It's a matte finish white plastic that is difficult to clean. After about a year the keypad looked like I'd buried it in the yard, dug it up and remounted it. The base station is fairly large, looks like a prop from the original StarTrek and is quite persnickity about where you place it. The entry sensors fit fine on doors but are too large to fit on my casement windows with the screens installed, so I can't open my windows on a nice day unless I want to spend the evening catching flies. The components seem to work fine, though, except for the keypad which goes through batteries faster than any ten flashlights I've ever owned. It's supposed to let you know when the batteries are getting low, and it does get around to that, eventually. While it's warming up to the idea, it just stops communicating in any useful or consistent way with the base station. I discovered this after I triggered several false alarms even though I was pretty certain I'd disarmed the system. Concerned that I might have early dementia, I started paying particularly close attention and discovered that although the keypad displayed "alarm off", the blue light on the base station was frequently still on indicating that the system was armed. A couple days later the keypad finally displayed a "low battery" message. This scenario repeated itself again a few months later. I've learned over time that as long as I keep the keypad fed regularly it doesn't bite. The monitoring service has been the bright spot so far. They're very attentive and polite when they call. (A word of advice - don't test your smoke and CO detectors consecutively; mix them up with your other sensor tests or use your cell phone as the primary contact number. The monitoring service calls you after each smoke and CO detector test to let you know it passed. I almost had a heart attack climbing up and down the ladder and running up and down the stairs to answer my land line.) The worst part of my experience has been the customer service, or lack of it. My purchase experience was relatively good. Although the sales technician misquoted the cost of my system, the customer service representative honored the quoted price and offered one month of free monitoring to compensate for my inconvenience. However, since purchase, my experience with customer service has been far less impressive. During my journey of discovery with the keypad, I made numerous attempts to call the customer service support line during their stated regular business hours. No answer. Not once. On two occasions, I left the phone ringing on "speaker" while I did other things - cooked and ate dinner once, cleaned the entire house the second time. No answer. Not once. You get what you pay for.

The system is good. The web interface is easy to manage. But the extra sensors and other items (like Siren, Keypad) are quite expensive. The cap to the USB stick is a joke (and they shamelessly sell a replacement cap too: smh)

The base station was shipped with a T-Mobile chip, which has terrible coverage at my location. Called the company, and they quickly shipped a Version chip replacement, which has a better coverage but not the best.

It went fine. I would say overall, I was pleased. It wasn't as simple as the video indicated. We had some items that had to be reprogrammed because, at the factory they weren't programmed right. There were a few glitches. I had to do many calls between me and Simpli Safe to get it resolved. We were going on vacation and were trying to get it installed before we left. We ultimately got it installed and it seems to be working properly. The fire alarm, the battery went dead right away, and so I bought a battery for it. I don't know why it went out right away. The tower needed to be reprogrammed. I think the equipment is going to work right. Once we got it working, the price seemed to be right for what we got. The quality remains to be seen. If I call on a weekend, I'm on hold for a long time, if I call during the week, I get a better response. When I finally got them on the phone, the professionalism was fine.

It was exactly what I was looking for. The system is exceptionally user intuitive and the combination of online and help-desk support that Simplisafe provides can help you answer any question or resolve any issue. I had a problem with the cord to my base station a few weeks after installation, and the folks at SimpliSafe overnighted me a replacement free of charge. I have tailored the system to meet the characteristics of my home and feel much more secure now when we leave for vacation or just head to work.

The product is great! No question about that. My only problem is the cost of additional items that you order. They are outrageous! They won't entertain any coupons either. Their remote key is the worst quality....cap falls off easily (replacement cost $1.99), battery cover falls off quickly (no replacement for that. Its $24.99 to replace the remote key. The additional sensors are $14.99 a piece!!

Installing the various sensors was not difficult although it would have been helpful if the instructions were in a more sequential order. One sensor did not work and I had to figure out which one through trial and error. Basically, I had to remove each sensor from the systems one at a time to identify which one was not working. But eventually, I figured it out and got the overall system working. There is a thumbdrive that is supposed to load software on your home computer so that you can more easily monitor the operation of the system. The first thumbdrive was clearly inoperable and should never have been mailed out. Since then I have received three more thumbdrives in an effort to get the computer monitoring installed. I have spent countless hours on the phone trying to get technical assistance and none of the ideas have worked. Typically, I wait for 30 minutes and get two minutes of assistance. Also, it is best to be at your home computer when you are trying to figure out the problem. Of course, by the time I get home from work there technical assistance folks have gone home! That is really great isn't it?? I really think the software on the thumbdrive is not very compatible with newer computers that utilize a windows 10 operating system. This has been extremely frustrating. That said, the remote monitoring of the system appears to be pretty good. When I test the system I often get a call from Boston, I guess, inquiring about what's going on. This responsive monitoring for intruders seems to be fine. I just wish the company would invest in up to date software and better instructional material. I am really mixed about whether I can recommend them.

The equipment is installed by the home owner. The equipment was sent to me in a timely manner although one of the items, a thumbdrive, was clearly unworkable when it was initially sent.

The product is worth the money. The components are of decent quality. They are a bit oversized and ugly but I still haven't gotten around to painting them to match my doorframes, which is what some other people have done. The service is responsive so be careful of false alarms. My city starts to bill for them after a certain point. They are professional and respectful so far, much more than ADT came across when I was shopping. I think this is the best solution if you are not willing to hardwire.

I ended up with some components that didn't work very well. I've been back and forth with them a couple of times. I need to follow-up again. Most of it came pretty quickly however there were a couple of components that were missed. I had to call and let them know that they haven't included the other pieces so they could send them out. I received them in separate packages. I have been paying for monthly monitoring with them. I'm not using the system right now because there are numbers of errors in it. I'm a little frustrated that the components didn't perform better. They were probably very professional. With whatever little money we saved, with what was supposed to be convenient in the long run has ended up costing me more and it got more of my time.

I posted a review previously stating the product was great but the customer service not so much. I received a call from them and they apologized about not returning my phone calls(on record)months earlier and I received 2 months free service. The customer service was my only issue. I'm sure this is a rare event. As I stated before, it's on record(my calls) so they know I wasn't trying to scam them. The Alarm system is Great! I feel safe! :)
