+ -1 moreAs a homeowner, I could not recommend Ray Hunt more highly. He is extremely cooperative and took great care working with me to make sure the job was done correctly. He a knowledgeable and skilled professional and he always did what he said he was going to do, when he said he would do it. He did research on new materials and provided samples for my review. He made sure that cleanup was completed, and I'm thrilled with the results! I would never use anyone else.
Description of Work: Ray Hunt has done 3 major projects for me and each one has turned out better than I ever hoped. My latest project included repairing/refinishing/waterproofing 30 linear feet of a rubble stone foundation (ca 1880) with a brick face which had badly deteriorated due to having land sloping down to the foundation. It also included new brick window wells, installing a french drain, a poured concrete apron, and regrading of the land away from the house.

I was afraid I'd be pressure to buy new stone and have to redo all 5 steps, but Ray was able to repair using the stones that were there and never pressured me into a more costly repair. The steps are level and look consistant with the other three so it all looks great and feels solid and stable.
Description of Work: The mortar joint between two pieces of bluestone on one of my front steps had worn away over the years and another step was wobbly. Ray removed the stones from the two steps, chipped off the mortar and cement, refilled the underneath part, added new cement and replaced the original stones after cleaining them. He had to remove the iron railings on the steps to access the stones and during the replacement of them one railing bracket came off due to age and extreme rust. He brought it to a welder and had him replace it without any inconvenience or added cost to me.

+ -1 moreEverything went smoothly. Contractor started job on schedule, did the work in a professionsl, safe manner and completed the job on time. Chimney looks great and has not had any leaks from my roof since he did the job, thanks probably to the new lead flashing. They also cleaned up my rood and jobsite after job was done.They even took some leaves and branches out of my gutters on the way down!
Description of Work: The chimney on my roof was leaking and crumbling. Contractor took chimney down to the roofline and rebuilt it using new brick and new flue liners. Contractor also installed new lead flashing where chimney goes into the roof.
