They came, they saw, they conquered! Absolutely!

They were on time, lovely to work with, and got everything moved in the quoted time (6 hours).

With a move like ours there are multiple parts. The first team moved our belongings into their truck and helped load the heavier items into our storage container. The apartment move was completed quickly and professionally, with them setting up all furniture that had been dismantled for the move. Fast forward 5 months and the second team (which included some of the original team) moved us back into our new home, taking extreme care not to damage the new home. And what impressed me most was that without my even asking they began helping to unload our storage container. Great job, hard workers, what more can you ask for?

This is my second move with Rare Movers and I can only say that you should not bother looking elsewhere. My first move with Rare Movers was from Rockport, MA, to Sanibel, FL and they were awesome (see previous review). The move was so successful and stress-free that I contacted Rare on the off-chance they would be able to move me again - from Sanibel to Columbus. I was delighted and relieved when Kamaul said that would be no problem. Once again, the guys were beyond wonderful! Jay and Manny were unbelievably positive and professional - and this is after a harrowing move and drive during a tropical storm! Due to the fact that there was bad weather, and they were coming from Texas, they were to able to arrive on the exact day we had scheduled. This was no fault of theirs - it was weather-related. Since they were not able to be there early on the day they could get there, I actually left Sanibel earlier in the day and left a key for them. I would not have done that with any other company, but my confidence in Rare Movers was complete. They arrived that late that evening and packed up the house during an approaching tropical storm. They left the house in excellent order (they did not track in any water or mud) and were able to get out in time to find a place to stay before the storm hit. During my first move (from Rockport, MA, to Sanibel, FL) the truck arrived 45 minutes after I did! This time, it was the storm that delayed the so it was a day and half after I had arrived. During both moves, I did not have any major damage to any of my things. And most importantly, the gentlemen who moved me both times were beyond great - professional, positive and efficient. The cost is unbeatable. As I stated early - look no further - these folks are the best!!

We are repeat users of the Rare Moving team. Once again it went like clockwork. I called them about 7 days before the move had to happen and they arranged everything around our schedule. The team of Manny and Freddy were fantastic. They were professional, quick working, extremely careful with our items and had a great sense of humor on top of everything else. The few items we didn't have boxed they did it. The few pieces of furniture we had to move were wrapped by the guys and well protected. I can't praise the team enough. I would definitely use the Rare team again and I will tell everyone I know that we found a great group for any moves.

The movers were on time professional patient and very serious about their job. The company was also responsive and easy to work with.

EXCELLENT. Everything from initial email and phone conversations to the actual move was handled promptly, professionally, and pleasantly. There were some tight timing requirements, including pickup one day before noon and delivery next day. They dealt with that easily and kept my daughter informed of any changes, even calling to say there were stuck in traffic on the way to the pickup. (There were only 5 minutes late.) All of my daughters belongings were handled carefully and wrapped when necessary. The movers helped with re-assembly of furniture as well. That was a plus! Based on this experience I heartily recommend Rare Movers. I understand that these type of A+ reviews are often dismissed, but this is a sincere and honest evaluation.

I had a great experience with RARE at every touchpoint. The people I spoke to over the phone and via email were prompt, friendly, helpful and made me feel more relaxed about my move “(I was pretty stressed about it). One moving day #1, the moving crew called me to let me know they were on their way and notified me ahead of time that they might be late due to traffic. I appreciated that they called me before they were even late, so I didn’t wonder where they were. When they arrived, they were so friendly, efficient and professional. They got right to work and didn’t stop until the job was done. They were so careful with y things and asked me before they moved anything they weren’t sure about (I had 2 roommates who were also moving out). On moving day #2, it was more of the same. I can’t express enough how organized and efficient they were. Not a ding on the walls and nothing was broken or damaged. They even made suggestions about where to put things when I wasn’t sure. They didn’t settle for anything less than getting the job done right, even when I was too tired to care (after 2 days of moving). Moving is hard, but RARE made me feel more relaxed about it. They handled everything and made the whole experience so much easier. I will definitely use them again.

It went very well. There were a few issues because I had specialty equipment (kilns) and RARE's excellent team worked with me to make sure that everything arrived safely at our new house. I loved working with everyone. They were polite, professional and conscientious.

This is an absolutely incredible moving company. We have used them several times over the last few years in the Boston area, and have found them to be fair, reliable, conscientious, respectful, responsive...the positive adjectives just keep coming. Each and every person who has been involved in our moves have been wonderful in attitude and care, in spite of the heat on moving days and three story walk-ups!. Especially after experiencing a horrific interstate move with another moving company. I am even more appreciative and now have found that RARE does interstate as well. I wouldn't consider using anyone else.

This is the second time in a year we have used Rare Moving Company and both times we have been very satisfied. This most recent move was a simpler move than the first (which involved picking up in 2 separate locations), but in both cases we feel like we paid a fair and affordable price (right in line with the estimate we were provided after they sent someone over to take an inventory of our place). All three of the movers worked incredibly hard all day, swiftly emptying our old place (though taking care to wrap everything to protect it in transit - nothing was damaged in the move) and unloading it all even quicker. We had some big pieces of furniture to go up 2 flights of narrow stairs and they did an excellent job maneuvering it up there without causing any damage. They were all professional and polite - if we move again, Rare Moving will be our first choice!

Manny and Frankie were efficient and friendly and made my move go very smoothly.

Service level was excellent. Movers were professional, careful, and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Manny, Gherarld, and Jaimey were great! All the men who worked on the three separate dates were consistently exceptional. Would use this company again without hesitation!

The most important furnitures arrived all damaged, packages were opened and other went missing. The delivery wasn't done on the expected day either. Terrible experience.

The workers were all very personable and helpful, but the work was unprofessional in that they spent way too long trying to get a piano through a space it did not fit and they did not completely move all items from third to first. Having used this company before with very satisfactory results, we were very disappointed this time.

We had a few hiccups with communication (part of it my fault, as my email labeled their response "junk"), but once we were confirmed everything went just fine. They confirmed the move by a call the day before, and the crew that did the move was on time, polite, efficient and helpful with arranging, then rearranging, the furniture in my mother's apartment

The team was excellent. Arrived on time, worked incredibly hard in the 90+ degree heat. All the while were pleasant and courteous. They really went the extra mile in packing up some large items (we were not quite finished boxing everything) and they did so happily. Also great flexibility as our closing was delayed one day - came back and brought us our stuff on a Saturday. Strongly recommend.

I HIGHLY recommend Rare Moving and Trucking! After a great deal of research, and having a bad experience with moving companies, I contacted many local companies for estimates. The gentleman from Rare Moving was on time for the estimate and explained the pricing in detail - no hidden costs. I contacted the company and set up a moving date which I ended up adjusting a few times during the process. The owner, Kamaul assured me he would be there himself because he knew I was worried about the move. The men couldn’t have been nicer or more patient with me. We had three men and a truck. They worked very hard and fast. All went very smoothly, until all of my furniture wouldn't fit in the truck. They tried very hard to make it fit, I just had too many items. We had to have another truck come to our place to finish the job. It was an hour away. I went with the truck that was filled to our new place and my husband waited for another truck to come and move us. Although it cost a little more and took more time, we had an extra set of hands to help unload. They were very careful and moved everything where we wanted it. A few of our things unfortunately were damaged, but I worked with Kamaul and all he wanted to do was fix the problem and make me whole. He was very courteous and understanding. He did repair some items and when he couldn’t repair a table he did a lot of research on line to help me replace it. After a few months of trying to find an end table that I liked to replace the one I had, he ended up settling it with a very fair cash settlement. He bent over backwards to accommodate me. He even came out several more times to fix small things. I’m a very meticulous, picky person, and Kamaul was very patient with all my phone calls, he’s honest and a terrific guy. I can’t say enough good things about him and his company. As I said, I spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews and I’m so thrilled that I found Rare Moving and Trucking. Velvet and Kamul were extremely accommodating to my changing move schedule and we able to find an A+ team to come on Memorial day and move our home/contents. They are focused on providing great customer service, working quickly and efficiently to keep the cost down, and clean up thoroughly after their job is done. I referred them to our Real Estate agent and will refer Rare to anyone I know in the Boston area in need of a move. I was impressed with them in 2013 when they first moved my family. We are fortunate to have moved to our "dream" home and will likely (hopefully) never move again, but if we were going to move, Rare would be my first call and honestly, I would hire them regardless of the price. In the two moves, I've met 10 of their employees, and have been impressed by each and every one of them. They have put a company culture together that I've never seen in a moving and storage company (I've hired 6 moving companies in my life).

Movers arrived on schedule, worked quickly, safely and properly to load, deliver and unload items. Also reassembled bed and were very neat and organized. One minor glitch on the bill was very quickly resolved with a simple telephone call.

Manny, Zack, and Kevin all did a great job in moving the furniture! They did it quick and put things where we wanted them! I don't plan on moving for a very long time, but if I did move I would call them up in a sec. Thanks guys!!

I HIGHLY recommend Rare Moving and Trucking! After a great deal of research, having hear horror stories about moving companies, I contacted 3 local companies for estimates. The gentleman from Rare Moving was on time for the estimate and explained the pricing in detail - no hidden costs. I contacted the company and set up a moving date which I ended up adjusting a few times during the process. They offered to store my furniture if needed at a very low cost. I ended up not needing this service, but they were very accommodating with all of my changes. I spoke numerous times to the owner and he was always courteous and understanding. As moving day approached, they contacted me with specific times and details. On the actual day, there was a small glitch as the truck had broken down and they had to wait for a repair. While this was inconvenient, it was not more than a few hours, and fortunately, I was able to leave for Florida before they finished because I had a family member who was able to remain while they completed the packing. They then took the truck back to the site to weigh the contents in order to give me an exact cost. They contacted me while I was on the way to Florida and the cost was within the estimate range. I paid for half at that time, with the other half due after the move. It took me 3 days to drive so they accommodated my arrival by leaving Boston the day after the move and driving straight through. They arrived less than one hour after I did - it was amazing! And the drivers were the same ones who packed me up. They unpacked the truck carefully and quickly and then turned around and drove back to Boston, Very impressive. While there was a ding or two on a couple of items, I cannot complain as the service and cost made up for any small issues. As I said, I spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews and I am so thrilled that I found Rare Moving and Trucking - it was a basically stress-free move. If I move from Florida - I don't know what I'll do - maybe call them to see if they'll come down and move me!

Packing went quickly / efficiently. They even reminded want to leave myself for the night. Move itself didn't go as well. In their haste, they broke a light fixture outside of my apartment; smashed in the backing of a book case & split a shoe rack. However, they were very helpful with furniture placement in the new unit. Everything they packed in boxes came through without harm.

I picked Rare because they showed up on time for estimate and their price was reasonable. They accommodate all our requests. Moving out after 1PM on first day and moving in next day after 3PM due to the late closing. On first moving day, Rare showed up on time and immediately began their work. They packed and loaded efficiently and professionally. They worked hard until late night until 9PM! On second day, we request more people in order to finish early and they did. Rare's final price was slightly higher than their estimate but we had extra man and extra truck so it was expected. Bottom line is that price was reasonable within the estimate, their service was great, and they keep their time. Most of all, we didn't get any frustration on moving even though we had difficult situation (moving in & out late). I wouldn?t be any happier and I strongly recommend Rare.
