Kate is amazing! She can clean an entire house-worth of closets in one morning. And she has a lovely, nonjudgmental personality. My home is much more decluttered and serene since I have had her come in.

Sarah was very willing to work hard at dirty work in the basement, and helped a lot. She was also tactful about my embarrassment about the mess. As for the kitchen work, I found that I felt somewhat helped the day after we created new systems, but the systems were not sustainable for disorganized me. I reverted to my old ways. Obviously she cannot be expected to control me, although perhaps more vetting and interview on her part might have helped.
Description of Work: Sarah helped clear lots of old junk out of my basement. This included boxing some items and throwing away many old boxes after sorting through them. She also helped re-organize my kitchen, creating specified homes for household clutter (rubber bands, wine corks).

I'm quite organized, so I wasn't sure what an organizer could do to help me, but I'm not familiar with what (reasonably priced) products there are to organize closets and wanted to get advice. So I guess I didn't know what to expect, but I am in awe of how she saw the space differently, explored my needs and uses, and was totally hands-on and willing to do the work for me with existing materials where possible. I was amazed what she accomplished in an hour with my own supplies (the only thing I lacked I bought online for $20). Now my bedroom closet looks great (and I don't have the annoying shoe rack on the closet door I always hated)! The storage space in the closet is neat, organized, and relatively accessible (for storage) and has completely freed up my second bedroom closet for things that really need to be there. I went from not having enough space and having gaps of space in places I didn't feel I could use, to having attractive, efficient space for what I need where I need it!
Description of Work: I had problems making closet space work in a new condo. My bedroom closet is long but not very accessible; the second room's closet is oddly shaped and is both a second bedroom and home office (the closet was crammed and not holding enough). Sarah came in to evaluate, gave suggestions, and rearranged my things to make it work. She saw where space wasn't being used effectively, suggested adding shelves, then noticed some unassembled shelves I already had, put them together, and rearranged my things onto them. Within the hour my problems were solved, and it looks so much more efficient and attractive! By the time she left, she'd explained to me that the side part of my long (inaccessible) closet was best for storage, pointed out that most of what I currently had in the second bedroom closet was storage (she physically moved them from one place to the other). She pointed out how I could better use my large hall closet to free up the second bedroom closet for cubbies for office supplies.
