Description of Work: This was the best experience we've ever had with a contractor during the 16 years of our home ownership. Our house is over 150 years old and was in need of carpentry work and exterior painting. Gavin was a pleasure to work with and so was the team he employed. He kept to the initial timeline and budget he gave us in his initial proposal (a first for us!) and worked weekends to make up for rainy days.He fixed exterior trims, replaced some window frames, and painted the entire exterior of the house. The carpenter with whom he subcontracted was also extremely punctual and reasonably priced. In addition to his meticulous work and attention to detail, Gavin has a rare sense for color. Based on our verbal description of the colors we wanted, he made excellent recommendations and we love the color scheme he recommended. Just as one example of his dedicated professionalism and pride in his work, the last day he was at our property to put finishing touches, he refused to leave until he could install the house number on our front door. We had planned to replace the old one and install the new one ourselves but Gavin waited until we came back with the new numbers, installed them, and then felt comfortable leaving. We loved working with him both as a contractor and a person and would very highly recommend him with no reservations whatsoever.

Description of Work: We can't recommend them highly enough! What a professional, friendly, hard-working group of guys. Gavin Curd and his crew painted the exterior of our house. They worked every day from 7:30 a.m. to about 5:00 p.m., sometimes staying later to finish up. They worked Saturdays and a holiday (Memorial Day) to get the job done in a timely manner. Gavin's many years of experience and his knowledge of historically appropriate paint colors for our Victorian house were invaluable. Our house looks spectacular. Thanks guys! We will definitely use them again.

HE WAS TERRIFIC IN HELPING US CHOOSE SOME COLORS WE OTHERWISE WOULD NOT HAVE PICKED; AND THEY CAME OUT GREAT. QUALITY WAS GOOD, THOUGH WE DID HAVE TO HAVE THEM COME OUT AND RECOAT MUCH OF THE TRIM. THE GOOD NEWS IS THEY DID THIS WITHOUT QUESTION, AND WE ARE QUITE SATISFIED WITH THE FINAL OUTCOME.

THE PROJECT WAS NOT EASY, HOUSE IS OVER 100 YEARS OLD, ALTHOUGH MOST OF IT WAS NEW WOOD WITH SOME VICTORIAN DETAIL WE COULD NOT STRIP. THEY DID A GOOD JOB. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THEM.
Description of Work: THEY WERE RETAINED TO PAINT THE EXTERIOR OF A NEWLY REMODELED FRONT OF A VICTORIAN HOUSE. THE BODY OF THE HOUSE HAS CEMENT BOARD (WHICH THEY WERE FAMILIAR WITH). THE SITE WAS ON A HILL AND 3 STORIES HIGH. THEY STAFFED THE PROJECT PROPERLY, AND A VERY PUNCTUAL, TIMELY, SCHEDULE WAS MAINTAINED. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM.

THEY TOOK THE TIME TO HELP US FIND THE RIGHT BASE COLOR AND LET US SEE SAMPLES OF DIFFERENT TRIM OPTIONS. THEY MADE THE HOUSE LOOK REALLY SHARP. THEY REALLY WANTED US TO BE HAPPY WITH THE END RESULT AND WE WERE. THEY TAKE A LOT OF PRIDE IN THEIR WORK. THEIR WHOLE CREW WAS PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. HE EVEN CAME UP WITH THE CREATIVE IDEA OF DOING OUR LARGE 2 STORY BEDROOM IN A FAMILY OF 4 COLORS WHICH REALLY TURNED OUT NICE. HE HAD QUITE A BIT OF PATIENCE WITH US THROUGHOUT THE COLOR CHOOSING PROCESS. THEY WANTED TO MAKE SURE THE COLORS FLOWED THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE AND THAT WE WERE HAPPY WITH EVERY COLOR CHOSEN. THEY DID A FANTASTIC JOB PREPPING ALL THE WALLS AND CLEANING UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY WORK HARD. THEY TAKE A GREAT DEAL OF PRIDE IN THE JOB THAT THEY DO AND IT SHOWS! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. THEY ARE VERY NICE PEOPLE AND WERE A COMPLETE PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH. THEY WERE CHEAPER BY ALMOST HALF FROM ONE ESTIMATE WE GOT AND CLOSE TO THE OTHER ESTIMATE WE GOT, SO I THINK THEY WERE REASONABLE PRICING WISE.

WE GOT A BREAK ON THE PRICE BECAUSE THEY HAD AN UNEXPECTED CANCELLATION IN OUR AREA AND WE WERE WILLING TO COMMIT TO IT BEING DONE ON THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT. THEY PAID EXTRAORDINARY ATTENTION TO DETAIL. THEY PROVIDED REFERENCES AND WE THOUGHT THE QUALITY ON THEIR OTHER JOBS SHOWED. WE HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL COMPLIMENTS ON OUR HOUSE SINCE IT WAS PAINTED. WE ARE CONSIDERING THE COMPANY FOR INTERIOR PAINT AND SURFACE REPAIRS AS WELL.
