+ -1 moreBasically, I was so lost without his help, it's very tough to understand the building & electrical codes and to figure out what your options are. He provided outstanding advice and finish carpentry help and his 30+ years of construction experience ended up saving me time, $ and headaches.
Description of Work: Micheal did an outstanding job of advising me on my construction options, cost breakdown analysis throughout my exterior common area Condo water leak diagnosis and subsequent interior bedroom repairs. He also provided me with exceptional interior bedroom remodeling construction consulting finish carpentry advice too.

Description of Work: We had O'dwyer Builders replace our windows, a sliding glass door, and install a new french door.They were quick and professional.

+ 4 moreMike arrived early and worked hard all day. He came up with solutions that were cost effective but most importantly would not compromise the look and integrity of the house. The house still has much of it's original wood work which dates back close to 100 years. Mike identified it, very carefully removed it, and sent it out to be stripped. He referred to the process as "performing surgery". I'm still shocked when I examine some of the window sills he replaced and how seamless they appear. Every item resolved was done with care, and completely effectively, so there would be no gray areas during re-inspection. His cleanup was excellent as shown by the dust wipes that proved to be lead free during re-inspection. In addition to being an excellent carpenter, Mike's very trustworthy and above all, a really nice guy, which is important when you consider that the person you hire will be spending a lot of time in your house and around your family.
Description of Work: This was a lead removal project. There were several items on the interior and exterior of the house that needed to be removed/replaced/resolved. These items included, windows, stairs, doors, wood trim, support columns and several other miscellaneous items. 17 windows were replaced including the flashing on the exterior. 3 doors were replaced. 4 large support columns on the front porch were replaced. Window casing, window stops, and baseboard were removed, sent out to be stripped, and reinstalled or replaced entirely. Several window sills were replaced. Many other items were resolved by covering with new wood or other methods to make them compliant. Each item was brought into compliance using methods that would clearly pass re-inspection. Re-inspection passed without issue. All items were considered to be de-leaded and the required dust wipes all passed as well.
